I didn't notice a phone number on here or thru google, so it was a bit of a bummer to not be able to order ahead. However, I think I only waited about 10 mins for my somewhat large order once I placed it. My family and I shared 2 of the 8 piece tender combos. We were impressed with just how large the tenders are. You're definitely getting your money's worth. I think my family of 5 could've actually shared the 12 piece combo, coz we have plenty left over. The chicken reminds me a lot of Gus's in the way that it's cooked, but the flavor is definitely different. I wouldn't say it's bursting with flavor, but there are definitely some unique spices. The chicken is SO juicy, and it's not spicy, so it's easy for kids to eat. The fries are really good too--nice and crispy. It's a really small spot, so while there's tables to sit and eat, maybe not so much for a huge crowd. I wanted to include some pix of the menu, coz prices have gone up since the last ones were posted.

They have several different seasonings that you can top your fries with. While I liked the crunch of the fries, I wasn't a super big fan of the sour cream and onion seasoning. It's kind of like popcorn flavoring at the movies. The owner was super nice and helpful. Give them a try if you are in the area and like fried chicken with a perfect crispiness.

Even after I ordered and was sitting there waiting, a few different people asked me if I was taken care of. I'd go back just for the hospitality. The wings were out of this world delicious! They were cooked perfectly and were cooked whole like the old days. I ordered 5 wings with a drink and fries (I chose sour cream and onion) and everything was delicious. I had a side of Memphis Hot for dipping and it paired will with the cajun dry rub (which had a nice kick to it as well). I mean look at those things! Seriously, look! They were starting to clean up a bit as it was close to closing time, but assured me I didn't have to rush. Great wings, Great Service and Great locations (in proximity to my hotel, anyway).

Shoutout to the security guard at the door who was more than just friendly--he was the hype man! He told us the food and drinks were on point, and he was not lying. Honestly, he deserves part of the tip because everything he said was facts. Drinks: Let me tell you--Amy and Yasmin behind the bar did their thing! The cocktails were packed with flavor. I tried the Main Street Marg and the Bad & Boozy, and both were perfectly balanced. The drinks alone are worth the visit. (See drink pics & menu for the full cocktail list!) Food Highlights: Wings (4 flavors): We ordered Cajun, hot, lemon pepper, and jerk. Each flavor hit differently but equally delicious. Fried Catfish & Grits with Gouda: Creamy grits paired with seasoned shrimp and gravy--Southern comfort at its finest. Now $24 bucks it should be at least two piece catfish or large one piece. Fried Okra: Crispy and tasty, though slightly over-fried for my taste. (Peep the food boards and that creamy shrimp & grits plate--chef's kiss!) Decor & Atmosphere: From the murals to the portraits of legends like MLK and Otis Redding, the space was visually inviting and warm. The open kitchen and moody lighting added to the vibe without feeling too dark. (See the artwork, dining setup, and the golden kitchen lighting in pics.) Pro Tip: They close at 9 PM--even on Saturdays. So don't wait too late to pull up! Overall, Crazy Coop lives up to the name--in the best way. Great food. Great drinks. Great people. Can't wait to come back!

Late lunch, to go. Glad to see a place with pretty exceptional entrees has taken over this…read morelocation...everything else here before was standard 'I feel like Asian food for (meal)', and then I'd settle for this spot (as the Wang's on Main long ago closed doors and became a Dollar General - Memphis being Memphis) leaving underwhelmed and over spent. So, Little Petals, i.e., Petals of a Peony, Jr.: no one was inside. I assume this to be per usual for 2:30pm on a Tuesday. It follows then, that the service was, um, efficient and bespoke. Ordered the pork eggrolls (very good, the sauce that came with it - oddly the perfect amount was given in a little rectangular container - made these delectable) and the General Peony's Chicken. And this was damned good. Pricey for lunch, but I could have made 2 or 3 meals off of it. A satisfying amount of heat from the szcheuan (sp?) peppers; not overly breaded so as to make it a fried dough dish, but rather to carry the sauce on the chicken; the chicken was a quality cut, nicely sized per bite. A new go-to for lunch downtown.

To be correct as my husband would point out this is not the specific Michelin recognized restaurant but a sister restaurant. The same items are sold here yet this is a fast casual version with a drive thru. I have never been to the original restaurant so I could not compare but I thought overall it was pretty good. The price for a bento box was really reasonable I believe it was about $10. For that price you get a protein, a base, an egg roll or spring roll, and a drink. The portions were very decent! I wish they had other drink options available other than soft drinks. Technically you can get a bottled tea but it's an up charge. If I lived in the area I could def see me wanting fast food and getting this. It's definitely better quality than food court Chinese food.
