Sometimes, you have to face facts and accept reality. Back in the day (Seventies/Eighties), Kentucky Fried Chicken used to be a fast food restaurant with a great reputation for quality food, great value and superb customer service. Then, the era of "healthy foods" was promoted heavily in the early Nineties, so the "Colonel" shortened the brand to KFC, hoping to still keep their customer base. Unfortunately, poor management led to a huge decline in quality food and customer service while prices kept rising. I had boycotted KFC in my old town in Maryland because of this. In Marion, the brand of KFC has maintained their decline. The food taste is terrible, crappy customer service that results in the wrong orders and it's even more expensive. Highly recommended to NOT eat at this place. Sad to say, but Colonel Sanders is rolling in his grave. My boycott will definitely continue here in town. read more

My family and I are traveling back from Nashville to Saint Louis and decided to stop and get some food after sitting in the never ending construction on 24. The restaurant looks brand new, from the reviews I take it the place is old. If this is old they have done an awesome job making it look new. The only thing i really like from KFC is the chicken potpie. Two nights ago my husband and daughter stopped and went thru the drive thru. A pretty big order, we got everything, so that was a plus. When I got my potpie though the thing was slopped sideways and stuck that way because it was over cooked. Not just a Lil overcooked but not burnt. a common occurrence that happens is that I don't get my completed order. i'm one person, i order the same thing and half the time i don't get the completed order. this is not the first time i ordered a 3 piece chicken with cole slaw and mashed p, but all I got was 1 piece of chicken and a biscuit. This KFC is horrible. They got our order wrong yet again. You hate to open the bag and the box to see if the order is right, but it would be a good idea. We got home and the order was someone else's . The coleslaw was missing and when my mom called to complain the manager couldn't take the pressure and hung up on her! We stopped to pick up lunch to go today. The drive thru was too long so we decided to go inside. Water standing on the floor when we walked in I'm not sure where it came from but definitely needed mopped up. We ordered the 8 piece bucket extra crispy... when we opened it the breading was falling off , super greasy and bland. We tried to order tea but the machine didn't work. The staff were all friendly but the quality of the food was bad. We normally go to the one in Benton and it's great so I'm not sure what the problem is at this store read more

KFC does not care about their customers. I bought a bucket of chicken which is not cheap, and it was so salty we couldn't eat it. My dog who loves KFC chicken and is her favorite wouldn't even eat it. I called and spoke with a supposed manager who told me she would put my name on the books for a replacement bucket. Went yesterday and told there was no such thing and that I had to have the receipt and nothing she could do for me. That was the general manager. Very nice for a KFC, it appears to be newly renovated. The bathroom was very clean as well. I had the buffet & it was good, fresh & hot. Not alot of meat options only the crispy & original chicken. Weird to Yelp about a fast food place, but I just had to because I was so impressed by the service! While, yes, this is an older restaurant, it was very clean (esp the bathrooms). The women behind the counter took their jobs seriously- which was totally refreshing. They were courteous, fast and attentive. The dinner buffet wasn't completely hot and fresh-- but it wasn't nasty. This is the first 1-star review I've ever written. And to be honest, it's not so much about the food or service, It's mostly because I'm angry. But hey - let me explain. I walked into this KFC with my wife and ordered a Georgia Gold Extra-Crispy 8pc Bucket, which listed for $22.99. But when I paid and looked at my credit card receipt, WHAM! $27.99. So I asked why. It turns out that making it Georgia Gold costs $5.00. Note - this isn't a different recipe. It's not a new kind of chicken. It's just a honey-mustard sauce they slather on. So I wound up paying $5.00 for ... sauce. I think that's pretty darned ridiculous, but you know what's even more annoying? That price change isn't listed anywhere on the menus. It's s stealth add-on you get zapped with if you don't look closely - or perhaps even if you do. Now, I can afford $5.00. And while I'm certain I wouldn't pay that much for a dollop of thin, kindsa greasy (yet kind of tasty) sauce, I Really dislike the way I felt snuck up upon. And even more, I dislike how the crew who works there gets stood up to take the flak if a customer notices. In my case, the crew was polite, apologetic, cool. None of this review applies to them. I just don't like the cavalier way they're placed on the front lines, ready to take the blame for this sort of nonsense. The chicken itself was dry. And the sauce was extremely greasy - looked like the emulsion broke, although I can't say for sure. Altogether a poor meal, but I wouldn't have written this review for that alone. It's that weird, sneaky way to boost the bill on unwary customers that has me turning red. I called KFC Corporate and they informed me this is a private franchise; not a corporate shop, so there's not a lot they can do, except memo the owner. They also said this was highly irregular. There is in fact a price boost for Georgia Gold, but everyone I spoke to there thought %20+ was insane. And not posting it was also "irregular" which i think is proper-speak for sneaky. I don't want a refund or a gift certificate - I'm done with this place. But you know what I'd like? I'd like an apology. To me... but more, to the crew there who has to deal with this sprt of mess. It's a good thing they have clean bathrooms. You end up spending most of your time there, if you know what I mean.

Most of the time when you go thru the drive thru your food is old cool or down right just nasty! But for the most part the service is good. I have only been there a few times to where I would of rather if pulled off than eat the food. From being in fast food for four years I can say most of the younger one working there does not know how much people really see and how unsanitary most of the things they are doing really are! read more
