Thanks again for sub standard service. As you can see on the order I placed I did not receive what I paid for. I received a thigh and a leg. I ordered white meat because it is what I like. I do not like the taste of the thigh nor the leg. Again the person filling the order obviously doesn't know the difference. Very sad. Worst KFC/Long John Silver's. First of all, drive through is only for KFC orders. Any LJS orders are placed inside. Once inside, staff is very slow and not educated on the menu and the options w each combo. A line of 7 people but no progress. Left and came back I hopes things were better. Upon arriving the second time, staff still slow even though no customers in like. 45 min wait for original receive chicken and 40 mins for hush puppies. Not all sides were available. After the minimally educated cashier took our order and asked several times for assistance with our order from the shift manager, we have been waiting for 25mins and now the line is back up to 5 people and still very very slow. The bad thing is it's Maricopa and options are limited. Avoid this KFC/LJS if you can. QT hot dogs or pizza is a better option! read more

Hoooooly shit, how is it even possible to be this bad? I've tried several times to get a decent experience out of this dump, so many so that at this point I feel like I have battered woman syndrome - they keep punching me in the face and I keep going back (sorry to any battered women who also use Yelp, which is probably a really weird looking Venn Diagram). I've been told at least twice that they were out of chicken, a few more times told that I'd have to wait 15 minutes if I wanted chicken, a few more times than that just given cold and soggy chicken, and even more times than that just had to wait forever without being told the wait was going to be long only to get the wrong food anyway. The restaurant is always in that state of like...you know how people that have a lot of young kids do a brief clean-up just after dinner, and the kitchen isn't what you would call clean but at least they picked up enough that it isn't gross and will make clean-up later on a lot easier? Yeah, it's usually a step below that. I mean, there isn't actual human poop on the floor or anything, but there's crumbs and corn kernels, sticky soda stains and used napkins. Their employees all look like someone is crouching just below the counter with a knife to their kneecaps, ready to cut them real good if they don't take your order. They all look like they hate their life but they're being forced to work there. The guy taking orders is like 15 and starts off the interaction not even with a greeting or anything just says out of no where "what do you want to order"which was honestly off putting. Upon ordering, he was told to wait 15 minutes because they didn't have chicken ready - he was the only one in line and it was 5:00 pm. He said okay, and asked for a jug of Ice Tea (as per the advertisement), they said they didn't have it. No Ice Tea? While waiting my husband purchased drinks at Sonic, then upon his return he received his order of chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and coleslaw. .. .and a complementary ice tea. Really? Never fails that every drive-thru trip to KFC/LJS they will screw it up. On one occasion I asked for drumsticks and fish at the drive thru and was told they had neither of those. Well, you are a CHICKEN place (KFC) and a FISH place (LJS) and you don't have chicken or fish????? Went to the drive thru at KFC in Maricopa tonight before 9pm and the place was empty. The parking lot was dark. Employees were inside cleaning or outside taking a break. I asked the employee sitting outside on the curb what time they close. "10pm. I'm not sure what we have left, but we're still open for an hour." Great! I pulled around to the menu board and said, I need to get a family meal for about 4 adults. My group likes bone in chicken, white and dark meat. What do you recommend? "We have tenders and popcorn chicken left. We are done cooking bone-in chicken for the night. We can make you a deal on a bucket of tenders." So let me get this straight: You guys are still open for business for another hour, but you're done cooking chicken for the night? "Yes sir." Of course, I said no thanks and left. I'm just curious how they plan to sell fresh chicken to their customers for the next 70 minutes when they are done cooking for the night. Makes me curious how long the chicken they still have left on hand has been sitting in the warmer, drying out. Are they so focused on cleaning up and going home (or out with their friends) that they just cook up large batches of chicken during their dinner rush, and whatever is leftover sits in a warmer and is gradually sold to their customers for the rest of the evening until they run out? Remember the old KFC commercials? "We do chicken right?" How can they possibly expect to build late night sales this way, not offering the products on their menu, which they are known for? They don't do chicken right, or even at all past a certain time? Is that KFC corporate policy, or is this service model based on the laziness and personal priorities of the employees? Is this the way KFC is supposed to operate, or is this nothing more than a break from the quality and customer service KFC is supposed to offer? What's the point in staying open late if you aren't going to offer your full menu past 8:30 or 9? Do they not see how this kills their late night business? Why not cook smaller batches at a time or even offer to cook fresh chicken to late night customers who are willing to wait a few minutes more, instead of refusing to cook fresh products that most of their customers want? I went through this restaurant tonight and, once again, they were out of what I ordered. I wanted three pot pies. They had two with a 22 minute wait for the third. I had already waited ten minutes in the drive through just to place the order. Fortunately, it's easy to pull around the other cars in line so I left. This isn't the first time this has happened. It seems like every time I go to this particular KFC they are out of whatever it is I order, be it original recipe, dark meat, whatever. Once I was told they didn't have any chicken at all. I understand that they could run out now and then - but this is every time and at different times of the day. I am sure that whoever owns this franchise would like to see it get a decent reputation for service but this one is absolutely the worst KFC I have ever seen anywhere. We got a 16 piece chicken in the drive through on the way home a couple nights ago. Now as I understand it an 8 pice bucket is supposed to include 2 breast, 2 Wings, 2 thighs, and 2 legs/drumsticks (that's what it used to be anyways). Well I would think that 16 pice chicken would be the same, just doubled right? Well we got home with 6 thighs, 6 legs/drumsticks, 1 wing and 1 breast. That's right do the math, our 16 pice chicken had 14 pieces in it. And almost all dark meat. Too bad I prefer white meat. I eat have been eating at their buffet now for just under 2 years and go 2-3 times a week. It is a great value. Reasonable pricing, good food, the people there are very nice to me. If you want more chicken than is displayed, just ask them. They are happy to get you the type of chicken you want. I have never been hassled there. It's a fast food restaurant manned by teenagers, so expectations are not very high to begin with, but this place really goes out of their way to ensure that you will not come back. On my second to last visit, we arrived for dinner at about 6:30, and found half of the restaurant, including one of the exit doors (code violation) blocked off by chairs. After finding a table in the "allowed" section we started to eat, and minutes later, 2 staff members decided to start their closing cleaning routine, as though the place wasn't going to be open for another 4 hours. So while trying to enjoy our food, we had to endure the crashing of chairs and the horrible smell of whatever toxic chemical they use to clean the floor. There was no manager on duty to complain to, so we just rushed through our food and left. Believing that was a one time thing done by some kids who didn't want to stay late to clean, we shrugged it off. Today, I gave them another shot, and they blew it, big time. Apparently, this location just got sold to new owners who seem to have only 1 thing in mind: money, lots of it, and fast, so they have revamped the entire cost model. They want their money so fast that they changed all of the prices in the register before changing the menu boards (bait and switch). They now add a "convenience fee" if you use your debit card. They have eliminated the combo menu (no more food/drink combos). And they have raised the prices 10% or more across the board. The most irritating change for me is the removal of the combo menu. Now, you have to buy a "Meal" which has significantly more food for significantly more money, and you have to buy a drink separately. Lunch today, cost me $11! For a fast food lunch?! Forget it. You've lost this customer. Incidentally, as other reviewers have stated, this location is generally dirty (tables, floors, bathrooms), and the buffet looks very unappealing. They also insult you by giving you a child-size cup (half the size of a small) for your drink when you order the buffet. read more

Went to KFC for a late dinner with the family last night and even though the sign says the lobby closes at 9pm, they had most of the lobby blocked off with chairs so no one would sit where they cleaned already. There were only 4 booths open. We waited forever to get our food and when we did get it, it was horrible! I am pretty sure they just gave us all the left overs. The hush puppies were as hard as a rock! The piece of chicken in my sandwich was so small and old it was embarrassing! It was served cold too.
