Manager on duty told us there was a 30 minute wait while there were no employees working in the kitchen and no customers in the store. It was very obvious she just didn't want to work and made something up to get us to leave. I was there another time with the same manager and there was the same problem and she told me to cancel my online order which apparently you can't do so we were told to leave and I was not refunded. Here's the thing. I order two bowls and chicken piece combo and unfortunately they get the whole order wrong. The chicken piece combo was disgusting and the chicken was bloody and gross. It wasn't cooked to the right temperature, you would think management would be concerned that their workers are handing out raw chicken. I ordered a large beverage and they tell me they are out of large cups.but I see they have a stack of large cups on the shelf. I was still over overcharged and never refunded. For chicken bowls there were not any utensils included. The sauces for the chicken piece combo were not in the box where it should be. It's not that hard for you to put a sauce packet in the box or at least let me know " hey we are out of the sauce you wanted, can I get you something else?" But negative they didn't say anything. I had to drive back to the location to grab utensils and they wanted to charge me. And I'm just like why do I need to be charged for utensils. For something that I ordered here. And they said we didn't see you order here. I kid you not. I spoke to a blonde long haired girl who is probably still in highschool or starting out college and she had the audacity to tell me that I never took your order. I showed her my receipt and she said oh yes I remember now. It wasn't even five minutes when she took the order. I asked her nicely can I have the things that I asked for and she said I guess. Sometimes you find yourself in a town about an hour from home, half the day gone and still so much left to do... and still a ways to get from home. Your hungry, you want something to eat. And what you crave is some comfort food, some nice greasy fried chicken... and that's how I found myself eat from KFC a few times during my shopping trips to Lima. I didn't want anything fancy, and I certainly have not eaten inside a restaurant since Covid... not worth the risk. So I have come here ordered some pieces of fried chicken or popcorn chicken depending on my mood with some mashed potatoes or potato wedgies which was eaten in my car. Can't get anymore social distant from people. To succinctly describe my experience: Food was satisfying, hot and yum! I was away from people. Food was quickly given to me. Saved me time. Ok so I've finally learned my lesson. This KFC will never change. After growing up in Lima and having a multitude of opportunities to eat here; I've always been disappointed. But this last time was THE LAST TIME! After patiently waiting behind just one vehicle, I ordered thinking wow, it's dinner time on a Sunday, and there's no line. I'm so lucky. Boy was I wrong. Apparently, I'm just the only poor sap still willing to risk eating here. I ordered the 8 piece original Extra Crispy family meal, with 2 sides and biscuits. Should be easy peasy. After waiting behind the car ahead of me for just over 20 minutes. And seeing them get handed what looked to be an average size bag. I figured my order would be fresh and ready to go. Instead I hear, " We're all out of extra crispy chicken." What the what!! Seriously it's been 25 minutes since I ordered, I think you could be halfway through making some more. So I said, "0k just give me the regular." To which I was told, "We only have Nashville Hot or boneless wings." It's 5 PM, how and why are you out of everything. After I said "ok I guess boneless" , the woman left the window. I thought she's gone to get it. Finally some food will be in the car, and I can go feed the family. After I kid you not another 10 minutes she came to the window, without food! And said, "I guess we don't have enough boneless, but if you can wait 30 minutes the extra crispy will be done." To that I said, "No it's not worth this headache." She handed my card back to me, which she had now for 20 minutes. So what charge do I see come through my bank app the next day, yep you guessed it. They charged me for the chicken that they never even had. Avoid this place at all cost. It's hell to deal with. Lee's Chicken is only a five minute drive away. And it never runs out and always treats us right. Ridiculousness pure ridiculousness! read more

I went to the Lima KFC and asked for my chicken to be fresh. The lady said the chicken was fresh so I take my 24piece hot wings home to find out they were cold and old. Went back to get fresh chicken and the manager argued with me saying they don't have old chicken. They were skimpy with the new sauce they are advertising also. I declare this KFC the most depressing eatery in America. Here's why. 1. No grilled chicken: Yes, that's right, after a huge media campaign, the backing of Oprah and an Internet firestorm, this KFC location refuses to carry Kentucky Grilled Chicken. At first, it attempted to appease angry coupon-wielding customers by offering free fried chicken. Now, customers are given a raincheck form to fill out. 2. Agonizingly slow service: I waited 20 minutes for wings tonight. There wasn't a line. I just walked right up and ordered ... and waited ... and waited. The guy next to me ordered a two-piece meal with a breast piece. After waiting 15 minutes, he was summoned to the counter and told no breast meat was available. The manager offered him a different piece. He wanted breast and asked how long the wait would be. The clerk said something that sounded like "4 or 5 minutes." After about 10 minutes, I asked the customer if he was sure the clerk didn't say "45 minutes." When the starving customer returned to the counter to ask, he was told, yes, in fact, it was a 45-minute wait. He got a refund and left disgusted. Every worker here moves in slow motion and looks like he or she was plucked from the cast of "The Hills Have Eyes." 3. Rudeness: When I asked if this location ever would get grilled chicken, I was told, "Dunno," without even a glance from the clerk. When I got my food after 20 minutes, I took two bites before being asked if the lobby worker could mop around and underneath me. Dude, there's plenty of floor to mop. Why not start somewhere else? When I grabbed my helmet and riding jacket to leave, the mopping fellow asked, "Isn't that a lot of hassle for riding a motorcycle?" No, dude, road rash is a hassle. 4. Cleanliness: With all that mopping going on, you'd think the place wouldn't be so filthy. 5. Horrible food: Try this experiment: Go to Louisville and try KFC. Then come to Lima and order the same meal. The difference is astounding. The chicken pieces alternate between wet and crisp, with breading sorta haphazardly clumped. 6. The clientele: I spent 10 minutes listening to a guy in his pajamas argue that he wanted free chicken despite not having a coupon. "Man, I thought it was a hoax and done tore my ticket up!" Another customer, an obese woman in bobby socks and slippers, ordered an extra biscuit after paying for her meal and was upset when the clerk charged her for it. I'll never waste my money at the Lima KFC, again. When we got home and opened the bucket of chicken we'd picked up as a special treat, the chicken was very dark, and the 8-piece was comprised mostly of wings and small pieces. The one leg must have come from a miniature chicken. The chicken meat itself was very hard, as if it's been refried or was old and nuked. It was terrible, and we had stomach issues afterward. Worst place ever! Maybe it's Lima, Ohio fast food, I don't know, but this experience with KFC, 2 separate times, is just awful. My husband went in to order some chicken and got a seriously rude female who identified herself as a manager. She told him if he didn't like the wait he could leave. Meantime, they were spending so much time with the customers in drive-thru they were completely ignoring the people in the lobby. I tried to call and speak with the manager and I really did start out nice... but that woman was SO nasty I finally yelled back at her, then hung up on her. The whole time I was trying to find out what happened to see if we could straighten out the misunderstanding, she very7 rudely and disrespectfully interrupted me continually, yelling at me the whole time! So yes, I did finally yell back at her and hang up on her. I tried to call Customer Service to file a complaint, got a woman on the phone, explained the situation, and she said nothing, just put me on hold for over a half an hour before I finally hung up and gave up. Sadly, the chicken was really good, but the service was so substandard you couldn't pay me to go back there. It happened today at about 2"30 PM. I don't know the name of the manager but my husband said all he knew was she was African American, with a management badge on. If any DM or GM sees this, I hope they investigate it.
