It's been awhile since I've visited this location, it was nice to be back and enjoy some favorites! Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, had a great time and appreciated the birthday acknowledgment. The steak bites, Caesar salad and other dishes came out timely and were delicious! I'm still trying to get used to the packaged peanuts, the switch up around the tough time from 2019. Special shout out to our server, Clayton! He was very attentive, engaging and knowledgeable! He made the dinner experience (and birthday experience) very exciting and fun! Another server, Lonnie was also a joy and very hospitable. The hostess, Addison was very pleasant, kind and a true welcome as guests were coming in!

Staff were eager to assist although they seemed a little confused or unsure of themselves, may be a new crew, not sure. As others have stated the parking lot at this location is a bit crowded and a little dangerous if not paying attention. I'm happy they opened a second location on E Side of town. Great menu items with lots of combos and sides available. Large tea selection, made by adding Flavored (sweetened) syrups but I indulged with the unsweetened green tea with mango. Yum. My sandwich was lightly toasted with a honey mustard spread, and mayo. Tomato and lettuce were fresh, and the pickle on the side crunchy and a little garlicky. Fresh fruit was a (bagged) mix of melon, grapes and pineapple, no freezer taste to it so that was nice. The restaurant itself is pleasant with booths and hi-tops. Nice lighting, clean floor, tables and drink counter. The best part is the music wasn't blasting. So many lunch spots have the music set too loud and it really gets annoying. Tuned to Sirius XM classic vinyl and played softly in the background. Crowd ranged from business professionals, students, grandmas with grandkids, senior golfers. All in all a good meal and I would recommend to a friend, and definitely return. Bonus item: save your receipt and bring to next visit for a free (large!) cookie.

Taco Gringo is my favorite restaurant. Hands down…read more I'm not kidding. The tacos, sanchos, nachos, and chalupas are all on point. Try one of these (or all of them; you are enterprising and courageous--people like that about you). They offer a few other items like chicken wings and assorted pre made Mexican desserts, but you would be a ridiculous person if you ordered them. Tacos are also 69 cents on Sundays, which is sexy AND delicious. I think there is some sort of soda deal on Sundays too, but you don't care about this. You care about a paper bag filled with a slew of tacos for a few bucks, all the grease accumulating on the bottom of the bag and how good it looks (very), and how soon you can smash all these wonderful babies into your mouth posthaste. The ice in their sodas is crushed. IT IS THE BEST ICE. Get whatever you get with hot sauce. Trust me. Be somebody. There are a few bad things about Taco Gringo, as much as I hate to admit it. They have a few outrageous booths that have these horrific bars under the seats that you have to step over to get to the interior seats of the booth. I do not deserve this type of treatment. However, the same inept booths have been there for at least twenty years so I should just get over it (I won't). Also, most of the staff either looks trashy dirty, or is rude. Not all, but uh, yeah most. ***UPDATE*** Some new guy named "John" works there. He is very professional and has been seen wiping down tables dutifully. Oh John. You're the best. One time my girlfriend was there and she saw a dog behind the counter. That's silly. Dogs can't make tacos. They also aren't currently up to date on sanitation practices and health codes, I'm figuring. Honestly though. Taco Gringo has incredible and inexpensive food. Highly recommended.
