I'm 77 and was trying to utilize a coupon that required ordering in app. I could not get it to go thru. I was lucky enough to encounter Carlita. She was so kind, , patient and knowledgeable. I don't know what all the poor reviews are about? This is the best KFC in the area. The second is the 122nd Glisan location, the worst is the 145th Division location. Went today at 4;20 pm Mother's Day to KFC at 205 nw burnside # c748016 and requested the 6 pc meal with ind mash/ gravy, corn and stated no Mac cheese bc we hate it. Cashier Jeff then said that I could get a ind mash/gvy bc we did not take the Mac. I called and spoke with mgr and he stated they don't substitute and I stated we hate Mac cheese. First off I tried to order online but couldn't tell if my order went through-it didnt. Second: They're using false advertising. I ordered off their sign that had promotions that was posted on their counter, and confirmed it was still going on. Was told I couldnt have french fries as a side when fries are feature on the promotion sign, advertising the specials. They weren't out just wouldn't honor what was advertised. The person, who waited on me, said she would go ask her boss if he would agree with what the sign advertised. She said he would not comply. I usually frequent the drive thru when visiting this place but decided to go inside. I've been told to pull to the front several times in the past and it's a nightmare getting out of drive thru and pulling to the front (I don't know why they have to make customers do that). Anyways, while I was waiting for my order, I noticed that the dining room wasn't clean as well as the kitchen floors. They had 5+ employees on the floor mostly standing around so there is no excuse for a dirty place. As for friendliness, took down 1 star too. Not a friendly bunch. While I was checking my bags to make sure I had everything (instead of finding out when I get home) they were just staring me down like I was doing something wrong. It was just creepy!! Kentucky Steamed Chicken! The first piece I pull out lost everything crunchy. The crunchy batter and seasoning is why KFC exist. The chicken was soggy like it sat in a crock pot for 12 hours. When I asked for a new batch I was told it's normal. Why a five star rating? Because over time Kentucky Fried Chicken has been good and it has been absolutely awful. This time I was very pleased. For one thing I appreciate that I don't have to buy food for a big family by getting a bucket of chicken. Don't get me wrong, for big occasions when a bucket of chicken is needed then that's great! But when I am by myself and just want a quick bite of something that tastes good, KFC is the place to be! I appreciate their combo meals. This time I got the chicken pot pie. It was absolutely delicious. Good puff pastry and lots of chicken and vegetables served at just the right temperature and not overcooked. My drink choice was White Lightning Mountain Dew that is only available at KFC. I also like it that they are open until midnight. Very nice when I don't care to go to a burger or taco joint. Overall, I believe KFC has done well at bringing back quality. At the very least, I am so glad they have done away with the silly ads that made Colonel Sanders look like a buffoon. He was a real person with a goal to serve good chicken done right fast. Most people didn't like to wait for chicken. The Colonel perfected a pressure cooking style that changed everything! With his $105 Social Security check and a station wagon he drove for miles and if folks told him they didn't like it, he would go on to the next place. In his own lifetime he saw his face all over the world. He was very fussy about the gravy. People who worked at KFC told me that if he visited and didn't like the way they made the gravy he would ask for an apron and show them how to make gravy the proper way. Do I think Colonel Sanders would be happy with everything that KFC has become, probably not. But I do believe that he would be happy with the return to quality that Kentucky Fried Chicken was known for when he was around. The chicken pot pie I had was excellent. We wrecked our truck and thought ordering from kfc would end a rotten day in a satisfying way. WRONG!! We ordered thru doordash (which we dont recommend) and the delivery driver only picked up half our food. Theres no way to speak with anyone at doordash, you can only order and pay, so we called kfc. The manager at this kfc refused to give us our PAID FOR food because it wasnt her fault our driver made this heinous mistake!!!! We paid for it but we cant have it???? I went in to get 2 fill Up boxes and it came out really fast... then I get home start to feed my family and the chicken strips are so dry and hard that my kids couldn't eat them.. the drum sticks were hard as well... it took me 35 min to call, FINALLY I got to talk to someone and when the manager answered she was rude,s aid her phone only rang one time and they are very busy and she doesn't answer the phone when it's busy... Mistakes happen, but bad customer service after the fact is unacceptable. If you get our order wrong, and then we call once we get home to let you know and ask for a credit of some sort because we are not driving back to get the correct order, having an attitude problem is not the right approach. We were not given a receipt and were told "we need a receipt because then everyone can ask for free food." I don't like leaving bad reviews, but as a consumer who pays for something, we expect it to be fulfilled correctly and if it's not, it should be taken care of in a respectful manner. She then proceeded to say she would leave a note for the manager after we prompted her to say it but didn't ask for any of our info so we decided to hang up and take the loss. This is the only KFC located in the Gresham and Troutdale area. It is one of the smaller branches located right off of Eastman Parkway and Burnside. I have never really seen this place that. Yay in the years that we have been coming here. With that said parking is never a problem. The food is good and I generally get the original or extra crispy fried chicken. The biscuits and Coleslaw is also pretty good. The workers seem to be ok but not overly friendly. I come here for the food not the service. It's a chain fried chicken restaurant you can't expect too much in terms of service. I always check my order before leaving though just in case. If you like fried chicken. Every time I go through this KFC the person who is taking orders through the speakerphone is incredibly rude and has a very bad attitude almost every time. The most recent time I came through a girl with dark, short hair and A 'guess' face mask was taking my order and was incredibly rude, gave me attitude, was outwardly disrespectful to me and then got my order wrong. When I asked her if it was possible to get it fixed and if I could get the correct thing I ordered, she then said, "oh well I did not hear that, so no." And so I said I'd pay for another one and she then told me(that because of something she had mistaken) that I would need to go all the way ya through the line again. 12:15 on a Tuesday afternoon, with no one in line, and no employee at the register. At 12:20 an employee saunters in from the back, and takes my order, looking for all the world like a member of "The Walking Dead." I asked for a 3 pc box, specifying that I wanted 2 thighs and a leg (extra crispy) too go. What I received (and what was on the receipt), was 2 breasts and a leg, on a tray. I sent it back, explaining the errors. The leg and mashed potatoes were put in a box, and 2 thighs were added. Then a lady presented the bag of food to me, which I inspected, and, although something still wasn't right, I took it because the corrections had been made. The lady was saying something to me in Spanish, but I didn't care for her tone, and was a bit offended at the idea that she would speak Spanish to me at all. It wasn't til I got back to work that I noticed that the cole slaw was missing - that was the thing that was still not right, which I couldn't put my finger on while there. I have zero problems with closing that facility down. I've been in there many times before, and received good service, but it doesn't take numerous bad visits to lose customers - only one. And, it isn't because they were busy - in most fast food establishments, at the busiest time of the day, there are numerous cashiers, and a full crew; inside there were 4 seated customers, one vehicle at the drive-in, and no waiting to order - except for the missing cashier, who finally showed up, looking like she'd just been outside on a dope break. read more

Say what you want about fast food and how horrible it is for you but KFC makes some fine fried chicken. I avoid McD's and most other fast food like the plague and i don't go to corp fast food often so i don't feel bad, actually i feel quite good eating some fried chicken from time to time. I live in Gresham and have driven past this place over and over again to other destinations and have never seen a car in the drive through, let alone customers in general. For the longest time I thought the place was condemned and people used it to park at the other restaurants nearby. But I decided to call because I remembered when I was a kid having Extra Crispy KFC and loving it and wondering how it tasted nearly 16 years after the last time I had it, and someone answered the phone. I hung up and drove over to try this out. This...this was an experience better left in my memories as a child. The drive thru was horrible. A speaker that was difficult to make out what the crew was saying, or maybe they had the microphone in their mouth, who knows. It wouldn't surprise me after recieving my basic $5 fill up chicken breast. Not only did it look as if sat on, the biscuit was cold and heavy, the chicken reminded me of the christmas turkey from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and the mashed potatoes felt as if thawed from a frozen canister, not even made from dehydrated flakes and water, just pure, cold centered grossness. Now, Gresham has it's own Popeyes. Sure they get your order wrong half the time, and sometimes you get room temperature dry chicken, but it still tastes good and the service is friendly. But at this point, if I want fried chicken and don't want to run the splattery risk of burning down my apartment, I'll have to go to Winco for anything halfway decent. read more
