This particular location has really gone down hill!! It used to be a great place to go to but ever since it's moved from the Monterey road location it's been a hit and miss. They run out of things frequently and it seems like every time I go there they screw something up by not giving it to me. Absolutely filthy restaurant today, 9/28/16 at 1:30 pm. Garbage strewn throughout, floors looked muddy and smeared with food and foot prints, tables not wiped down, kitchen area appeared equally unclean. I asked two employees why the place was a mess since they appeared to just be standing around. They did not answer me. I asked for the manager, who happened to be one of the two employees. I said that there was a problem in the customer area and asked him what the story was. Both employees laughed and walked to the office area without answering or showing any concern. This KFC is the worst ever! Every time i get home my order is totally wrong. I stopped eating there for one year and decided to give it a try. Bad idea! First of all it was like a disco club in there, the music was cranked up and the girls were rockin out and giggly. After 15 minutes I got my order and went home. My $38 meal was all wrong, no white meat what so ever, all thighs. My side dishes were all wrong, and we were missing my sons chicken bites. I now had to make a trip back to town and straighten it all out. By the time I got back to the house the food was cold and no body wanted to eat it. KFC is banned from our list of places to eat. Spoiled food and rude employees. I went there for a quick lunch. I was holding my 2 year old son and the employee asked me to wait because he wanted to talk some other customers. I was holding my son on my arms for more than 20 mins standing in line and then the employee started taking my orders. When I asked the size of a whole wing, he was telling me that the sizes are different for each piece so they can not show me the size. Then i asked about the price of a whole wing and they told me it is about xxx per piece. So they are selling for a fixed price per piece but the sizes are different. Maybe in KFC people will get different sizes of meal randomly. When i got the hot wings and whole wings, I am surprised that the hot wings is 3cms long each and the whole wings are only 7cms in size. And one of the whole wing has many black portions inside the skin. It looks like that it has been in trash for a month and smells bad. It is definitely spoiled. I went back and asked the employee and they told me it is completely normal and refused to do anything about it. Maybe this is the normal quality of the KFC. I didnt expect a high quality for KFC but there is nothing that a human can eat. Never go to KFC again in my life. read more

I have been going to this kfc since it originally opened, and it has gotten progressively worse over the years. My biggest problem with this place, is 4 out of 5 times my order is not right. Not that these guys need another bad review but here it goes. This was the third time that I've had an issue with this place in particular. (1) Food missing from order, had to call and go back to pick up. (2) The management was very rude and talked down to me so bad that I ended up calling the KFC corporate office to make a complaint. (3) This is now the second time food was missing from my order and when I tried to call them the message keeps saying that the line is busy (go ahead, call for yourself and see) so I tried to call corporate again to see what they could do for me and I stayed on the line over ten minutes and no one answered and no "please wait for the next available representative, wait time is ..... Suffice it to say, it starts at the top so if corporate doesn't even care about tending to their customers how in the world is the manager or workers at their franchises going to care about tending to the customers. This evening after leaving my Mom-in-laws house, my husband & I were really hungry. Our 3 year old daughter already ate so we wanted to get some wings, go home, put the kid into bed & enjoy our hot wings as we watched a movie. When we got to the drive through & ordered the wings, we were told that it was going to take 10 minutes for the wings to be cooked. I asked the guy who was taking our order, "Why is it that every time I come here, I ALWAYS have to wait 10 minutes for the wings to be cooked." A girl got on the box & stated that if we had called ahead of time, we wouldn't have had to wait. I told her: "THERE IS NOTHING AROUND OR ON THE BUILDING STATING THAT YOU CAN CALL AHEAD OF TIME! If I wanted to "call ahead" I would have gone to Wing Stop. Even commercials for KFC don't state that you can call ahead to make sure that there are Hot wings made." She then told me, "Well... let me be the 1st to tell you." It's the same thing with the other KFC across town. What is it about the KFC's in Gilroy & not making enough hot wings? While we were in the parking lot, I seen the girl coming out to our car with our wings. My husband rolled his window down & stuck his hand out the window to get the wings. Instead of the girl going over to my husband she walks over to the drivers side of the car where the car window IS CLOSED. Umm... hello... Open window w/hand sticking out vs. Closed window. You'd think she'd go to the open window to hand us our wings but decides to come to the closed window. Hmm.. yeah... I know you don't need a college degree to work at KFC but you'd think common sense would be a requirement. I told her, "Other window". She stated, "OK... didn't see it" Umm... You walked right past it. How could you not see the Open window w/the hand sticking out? According to our receipt, Our cashier was Rubena & when I told her that we should be compensated for having to wait 10 minutes, she said that the only thing she could do was give us a free drink. Umm... yeah... I honestly don't think that was the "only" thing that she could do. I really think that she could have only charged us for 10 wings instead of 20. This place has been horrible the last year, I don't know if it is under new ownership or not. But the drive-thru is always closed and the wait is always long. They are understaffed and the people that are working there don't really seem to know what's going on. I have been here many times each and every time there's always a issue sometimes no potato skins or there's no chicken breast and it's a 10 min wait.. Well today I went through the drive through to order the 20 dollar meal with the strips I asked if I could switch my cole slaw for macaroni and cheese. I was told no because it was a promotion I said ok well I will pay extra to exchange it . The girl on the on the microphone said no we can't it's a promotion item and they could not . So I said fine I did not want the slaw just take it out of my bag I didn't want it she seemed puzzled . I then said I know it's a promotion just take it out.I drive up for my order They handed me my order there's no sauce like it says on the promotion there no napkins no butter for my rolls I was not asked if I need plates or utensils. I could have been eating at a park . I had to wait for someone to come back to the window to ask for napkins. Then and there he grabs a handful off napkins crumbled up and hands them to me . Point is paying 40 dollars for my meal is not a issue the poor customer service is I think retraining these employees would probably solve most of these complaints. I don't go to KFC very often so when I do I am in the mood for some of the items they have on there menu that you don't see at some other fast food restaurants. So I made my order got my food and went back to my office. First thing that came to my attention was the 3 chicken little's I ordered had no mayo or pickles on them ( the only condiment they are suppose to have) on them. Second the "Fill up Box" was missing the chocolate chip cookie out of it. Third the Chicken in the BBQ Chicken sandwich tasted like it was days old or something. It was literately hard and chewy. I called them from my office and as for the manager. Surprisingly the lady that claimed to be the manager could hardly speak English or pronounce it anyways. Not ones during the 5 minutes I was on the phone with her going over the order 10 times did she apologize say sorry or even act concerned. I stood in line at 5:06pm and I wasn't acknowledged until 5:14pm that 8 minutes standing in line as the drive thru line kept moving and workers walked past me drinking soda and talking and walking around. Annoyed as I was I began ordering only to have her walk away after everything I said to check if they had it she came back saying they didn't have the piece of chicken I was requesting. A chicken breast, you don't have a chicken breast on Sunday at this time. This is by far the worst service I've ever experienced. She never even gave me back my receipt. When I told her I would be eating here I received my food in bags. When I left and finally sat down to eat she put gravy on the mashed potatoes when I repeated 2 times please no gravy. Nothing was like we ordered and I ended up throwing $20 in the trash having to go purchase other food. This experience was not even close to the service at Popeyes. Terrible. I ordered a 2 piece dark meat meal and asked for 2 drumsticks-no thighs. I also ordered chicken bites and a small mashed potatoes and gravy. I got home to a thigh and a drumstick and no mashed potatoes. Why do they repeat your order to you if the person that makes it can't pay attention? I'm not sure what happened but now when I go there I am always waiting for the food to be cooked... "that will take 7 minutes to cook, do you mind parking out front?"... 20 minutes later I receive my food and this only after I intercept the woman who they gave my order to! This was not a one time incident. I thought things would improve after I spoke with the manager the first time this happened. I rarely go to KFC but the two times I went there, the employees were unprofessional, rude, and just awful. They took a long time taking our order. They just stood there, walked back and forth pretending to look busy. On top of that, they talk trash behind the customer's back. I was listening the entire time! I was asked to park and wait for my order and wasn't given a receipt. In the 28 minutes that I waited, I witnessed several other people receive their orders, but I didn't get mine. One of the employees approached my car and asked what I had ordered, but never came back with it. I went inside to remind them of my order and they started talking to each other about someone who had just left work-blaming her for the mix up. They offered no refund and no apology, but did give me food that had apparently been prepared and sitting for a while. It was cold when I got it home. My husband and I like KFC food. The problem in Gilroy, Calif., is in it's management. We have walked out the last three times we went there to eat. 1) The restaurant is open until 10:00 p.m. so why are they out of food items at 7:30 or 8:00 or sooner? 2) I'm on a diet and often when I go in in the evening, they're out of the grilled chicken. We asked if they had grilled chicken before we got into line the last time and were told,"yes." There was a man waiting for his order and he was being told that they were cooking more corn. As we neared the front of the line, the grilled chicken was gone so we left. As we were leaving I heard a cashier tell a customer that the coleslaw was gone for the day. 3) We hate their menu board... too many combos that we are not interested in. I'm wanting a grilled leg and a thigh, one side and a beverage and there is no way to figure out what it will cost.. don't want a meal with a biscuit or a cookie or mashed potatoes. read more

What a joke. I normally don't write these but his one takes the cake. First off the used a small garbage can and some trash to block the drive-thru since apparently they don't have enough people on shift. When driving in with a larger truck I didn't see the garbage blockade due to the high hedge and ran over it. I got out to check and just thought that one of the local transients was a little sloppy going through the trash bin. I moved the stuff out of the way and went through the drive-thru. By the way, there was no sign on the garbage indicating the drive-thru was closed. When I parked in front the first employee I encountered began yelling at me for running over and moving the trash they used to block the drive-thru. When I went inside to talk to the manager I was greeted by no one. I actually had to yell Hello to get someone's attention. When I finally got the manager he was rude and wanted to blame me for running over his trash can. He simply just blew off everything I said and didn't care. When I asked for the owner information he said it's just Rob and I don't have his number. This place has been getting worse over the last year but I keep hoping since it's a local business.
