The average employee has 2 brain cells and they're fighting for 3rd place. Tables are usually dirty and service is slow.

My cashier was Alexis, she had a great attitude. She was very personable and I had a great interaction with her.

This is the worse place to get a quick bite…read more The staff are too rude and obnoxious. This is what happens when there is no consequences for bad workers. The manager (one of them) came out of the office hollering and cursing about an employee that has already left. When I say cursing, I mean cursing dropping the f-bomb about the employee multiple times. The employee in the front register couldn't take an order right. She kept messing up and making excuses about having "a blonde moment" yelling it across the back to the manager the one that came out cursing and hollering. There was someone working on the drink machine and when my husband went to the counter to let someone know, the cashier said, "oh, I should have told you. Sorry, I'm having 'a blonde moment'". This was just uncalled for and completely rude in trying to be "funny" because she kept messing up. I have gotten old moldy lemon cake and when I called it in they told me they were closed and nothing could be done. I still went back to give it another try, but I really think they should either fire the current staff and get a whole new crew or just shut down. This is not a place any one should go into. Just because it's located in a small town that everyone knows everyone doesn't mean the ones who come in to give the establishment business should endure the rudeness and straight disrespect for coworkers and patrons. When I asked who owned or was it a corporate store the one staff had no idea and said, "she had no access to that information, but her manager did" I told her that was the one that was being rude and cursing about the other staff. She had nothing to say, she couldn't even believe that had happen since she had just clocked in not to long before I asked. The other is the lie that was told about my husband being rude and yelling. There is one key fact in this straight lie...... My husband cannot speak very loud at all due to a medical injury. He can barely be heard or understood by others if they can not hear due to loud surroundings like inside the restaurant is usually. STAY AWAY! Unless the place does some serious clean up with their rude and disrespectful staff.

ALWAYS have a guy working the register who's old and has a cane he can bearly get around let alone listen or maybe hear your correct order. the manager woman is pure chaos. she makes the atmosphere and clearly other workers stressed. If you're really craving Taco Bell that bad I suggest driving the extra 10 minutes and hitting Preskett.

Except for once, every sandwich I've gotten has tasted fresh and has not skimped on the ingredients. I was in yesterday and was served by Jeff and David. They both did a great job. They were fast and friendly. It was easy to make my order, and they were accurate making both of the sandwiches the way that I wanted. The sandwiches had generous and fresh ingredients. As a comparison, I was just at Jersey Mike's a couple of weeks ago. I constantly see rave reviews about Jersey Mike's, but I see really no difference between their sandwich and those made here at the Chino Valley Subway. My only complaint is with the www.subwaylistens.com web link. It said on my receipt to go there to take a survey. I was going to leave this review there. Unfortunately, Subway has decided that they will give my personal info out to anybody that they deem their choice if I take the survey. I'm not going to do that and get swamped with emails and phone calls from all kinds of spamming advertisers. It's too bad corporate has decided to do that instead of just leaving a link so that people can leave honest reviews. Like me, I'm sure it hinders several people from leaving good reviews

The management practices at this Subway location are extremely concerning. There appears to be a…read moreserious issue with selective enforcement of workplace rules, particularly regarding "fraternization," as well as troubling double standards involving sex, gender, and sexual orientation. If this location has a fraternization policy, it should be written, clearly communicated, consistently enforced, and applied equally to every employee. Management should not be policing consensual relationships between employees outside of work while selectively deciding which employees or relationships deserve scrutiny. Even more concerning is the apparent hostility and unequal treatment directed toward heterosexual employees and opposite-sex relationships. If management is accepting of certain relationships or orientations while scrutinizing, discouraging, or disciplining employees for heterosexual relationships, that is an unacceptable double standard. The same applies to sexism. Women should not be held to a different standard than men for participating in the exact same consensual conduct. If two adults are involved in the same situation, selectively blaming, scrutinizing, or disciplining one person while overlooking the other raises serious questions about management's judgment and fairness. A workplace should not operate according to a manager's personal opinions about employees' private lives. Policies should exist for legitimate business reasons--not as tools that can be selectively interpreted depending on who management likes, dislikes, approves of, or chooses to target. Subway and the franchise owner should seriously examine the management culture at this location, including how its fraternization policies are being interpreted and whether workplace rules are actually being enforced equally. Employees--regardless of whether they are male or female, gay or straight--deserve the same rules, the same respect, and the same treatment. Anything less is discriminatory, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate management.

We originally tried Brewha next door, but it had zero vibe and the service was basically nonexistent--so we walked over here, and I'm really glad we did. Sarah, the bartender, brought the place to life. Super friendly, attentive, and just a great energy all around. Service was quick, and they've got a solid selection of draft beers. For food, we had the double smash burger with tots and the artichoke dip--everything was . The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, the artichoke dip was ridiculously good, and the tots were crispy, salty perfection (I'm still thinking about them). Overall, great atmosphere, great service, and great food. We'll definitely be back.

Right after my initial review the restaurant went through a management and ownership change and a LOT changed. I came back once or twice after the new ownership and the food was in transition. I waited really, another several months for things to settle down, and started coming more regularly. The food is substantial, first of all. Mark, (owner), takes immense pride in serving quality food. Pricing sadly, in commensurate with Sedona, but that is life here in the VV. There is smoked prime rib dinners on Saturday, Taco Tuesday and relevant holiday specials. But again, portions can be shared or you've got two meals. Win-win Management and staff has changed, for the better from previous. Staff is friendly, efficient and professional. I live in town and we have few choices, but our choices are consistent and down to earth. The Roost is great for travelers and residents alike, who are seeking good food and atmosphere! I've been impressed with the sense of community the restaurant provides to all.
