Terribly dirty kitchen and dining room, terribly slow, terribly gross food that takes FOREVER to get and terribly inept staff. They make you wait forever and then even forget to give you all you've ordered. They're all so confused and even yell across the dining room from the door to the kitchen. Constantly asking people to pull up or around because they have never been able to get it together. This place just needs to be torn down to make space for a place that could be at least decent. read more

The main reason I wouldn't recommend this place is one the charged me a donation round up charge and I wasn't even asked to do so, then they didn't give me any sauces for my tenders that I asked for nor any mild sauce for my tacos which I asked for. I went to this store last night (Friday, November 12, 2021) and they had closed early. There were two other cars ahead of me, the lights were on, the parking lot had cars and I could see staff inside, so it appeared they were open. I thought the food was just taking awhile to cook. I sat in line for AT LEAST 20 minutes (that was AFTER I started timing them) and finally the car ahead of me moved. Then the next car moved....but they were only stopping briefly at the window. Okay, something is wrong. So I get there, and the nice young man at the window tells me they're closed and his headset was malfunctioning, so he couldn't tell us (you can't send someone outside when you see there are THREE cars waiting??) I looked at the clock, and they should definitely have been open while I was waiting. So they closed early. Must have had a party to get to somewhere. I wouldn't be so angry if this wasn't a continual issue! I've lived in this area since April 2004, have eaten here since this restaurant opened, and this is an ongoing problem. The staff closes early, tells you a machine is broken/they're out of that product (even if you ordered it earlier that day) because they have already cleaned the machine and don't want to cook more. I returned tonight (November 13) and was told they were only operating as Taco Bell "Because we are short-staffed, so we don't have any KFC products tonight." This is ridiculous! Went to pick up chicken for my family , they were out of chicken so had to get tenders, I wanted to get doritos locos tacos which we were told they were out of, my sister also ordered regular tacos. When trying to figure out the tender situation we were told the machine was broken and when my mother asked if they had any chicken left as in boned chicken she was met with "this is a chicken place we serve chicken " from a manager who clearly should not be working with people. WOW! I stopped by at 11:09 AM for lunch. I ordered a three piece tender meal with fries, sweet tea, and a side of mac and cheese. I was very hesitant on even pulling into the drive thru because most of the KFC locations around Johnston and Wake are horrible. I was very surprised with my experience at this location. The drive thru employee ACTUALLY greeted me through the speaker instead of the usual "what can I get you" from other KFC's (hwy 42 location, Clayton). The ordering was the easiest I've ever experienced. The employee even suggested a different meal due to wanting to add a side of mac and cheese. I didn't take her recommendation due to wanting only three tenders. The KFC on hwy 42 in Clayton always forgets food and NEVER answers the phone to make things right. I pulled up to the window and the employee was very happy and pleasant. I was asked to pull forward, which wasn't an issue, if the food is fresh. WOW! She brought my order out and let me say.... IT WAS FUC*ING PIPING FRESH AND HOT AF! I double checked to make sure everything was correct. It was perfect. I had a quick 10 minute drive home, and when I opened the box to indulge, it was STILL FUC*ING PIPING FRESH AND HOT AF! I wish they would just revamp this whole store. It's ridiculous how slow the drive thru is!! We stopped eating here awhile ago because the service is horrible and the food was nasty. But just today I had the taste for a shredded chicken quesadilla, and I should've known better. Before I realized it I was sitting in the drive thru for almost ten minutes. I politely pulled out of line, and noticed the car behind me did the same, and there were still two cars in front of me waiting to get their food. This is the second time I have had a problem with this KFC. First time I waited over 30 minutes for 12 hot wings...This time I was given old,dry, smashed biscuits. The the Manager said she had dinner roll which turned out to be the little chicken buns. They need to teach someone how to order the truck because they are always out of stuff. This is a KFC/Taco Bell combo. If you want good service I would recommend eating in. The worst thing at this location is drive-thru. Every damn time I go here in a rush to go to work or on the way home. Drive-thru is the worst thing, rude service, people who act like you shouldn't even be here, even toss you your food like you just didn't pay for it. I've never had a drive-thru experience as worst as this. They also have a tendency to forget what you got and you have to go thru again or go into the store to get your food. read more

This is a combo KFC & Taco Bell. For some reason my daughters like stopping here on the way to the beach. There is an odd attraction to fight for 10 minutes on KFC vs Taco Bell only to order KFC every time. Go figure ... Oh well, it's always quick & clean. Enjoy. read more

I have been going to this location for A LONG TIME (not really by my choice) and it is one of the worst Taco Bells i have been to. Three times ever, have I tasted the disgusting, spoiled hard shells in my life.... Among other spoiled things. All this location. 8 out of 10 times, they get your order wrong. VERY, VERY BAD SERVICE. I waited for over 20 mins and realized that there were 10 orders in front of me that been waiting longer. This store needs help there losing so much money. I witnessed at least 6-7 refunds for taking to long in a 20 minutes period. I couldn't imagine how much the drive thur was losing as well. They also locked all the doors so no more customers could come in and an employee told the people in the drive thur that were closed @ 6pm on a Saturday night. read more
