Sadly the cold slaw was t as tasty or fresh. The fries definitely made up for it, though. It wouldn't be right if I left an Irish bar without drinking whiskey so I ended my meal with a shot of Jameson's. Good food at affordable prices. PS the bathroom sign made me giggle

Very poor service. Poor environment. Surprised at how this place is even open after that showing. Sweet potato fries stiff as a board and unedible. Side of deviled egg was atrocious and had zero flavor. Waitress was nice but only had 3 tables and was nowhere to be found 5-7 minutes at a time. Again, don't come to this place. This was a unique menu item that i've never had anywhere before and each bite was creamy and had a piece of shrimp in it. The fried shrimp was crispy and seasoned great. The side caesar doesn't look like much, but I tossed it in the dressing the next day and had it with some chicken and it was great. It was also a big portion for a side. The fries were perfect as well. The wings were cooked great. We loved the gold rush and honey bbq the most. The only thing I wish was that it was a bit more saucier. One child got mac and cheese, one of her favorite things on the planet, but did not eat but two bites. Not sure why, she just didn't seem to like it. They did not have a child serving, so there was a big serving that went home with us. She would not eat it the next day either... I had a loaded baked potato. The potato was really big, done nicely, but it really needed some butter and by the time I got some, it was too cool to melt the butter. I would not get it again for sure. I didn't get pictures, dealing with two little ones.... Just slightly below average experience for me. I may give them another try in the future, but with completely different dishes.

We arrived during a slow time of day--around 3:45 PM for "linner." First issue: a chip in my pint glass cut my lip. They gave me a fresh glass, which I appreciate, but comping something (anything!) for the trouble would have gone a long way. I'm not reviewing the food out of fairness to them , because everything had a (bloody) metallic taste Second issue: the staff "entertainment." Someone went off in the kitchen, yelling loudly enough that it spilled out into the bar area. The unhappy server then proceeded to vent to patrons at the bar. Look, it's Garner--I get it. Having worked in Garner for several years, I know the "Garner Way." Everyone knows everyone, and a strong sense of community exists once you cross the city limits. I love that, and I'm even curious about the history behind the "Cleveland" name in this area (though that's for another review). However, after venting behind the bar to what I assume were regulars, someone finally came out to quiet things down. That same server then made an interesting pivot: since she couldn't vent in the kitchen or at the bar, she pulled out her cell phone right in the middle of the dining area. She stood just far enough away to qualify as outside the bar zone, but close enough for us to hear every detail about her car trouble and personal life. Dinner and a show--Garner style!

I put in my order online and then went down, I had never been there before. When I walked in the place was kind of dark and dingy. That being said, they were very courteous and moved quickly. That's the only positive note I can give. Someone came out and told me that two of the items I had ordered, the barbecue bourbon beans and colored greens had not been on the menu for months. I asked why they are still on the website and I can still order them then and he replied "I guess they didn't update the website" I subbed for mac & cheese and tater tots. I also got the brisket and my fiancé got a salad and a Bavarian pretzel. The brisket was the most dry and underwhelming brisket I have ever had. I was so bummed out. Their sauces were pretty good, so I just soaked the brisket in the sauces and choked it down. The mac & cheese was Stone cold, the tater tots were soft and everything tasted as if it had been reheated in the microwave. My fiancé's salad was, no joke, about 40% lettuce and 60% cheese with a few cucumbers. Also very underwhelming. She said the pretzel was "meh". Didn't taste fresh and just wasn't good overall. I added a picture of the brisket so you can see how dry it was. I thought going to local barbecue in North Carolina was a sure bet because even the worst barbecue places are still pretty solid in NC, but this is not one of them. I didn't check yelp beforehand, my mistake. Stay away.
