Firstly I thought that on a Friday afternoon that the place would be rammed and I'd have to wait an age to get ripped in to those tiny, tender poultry pieces but I was wrong I walked in ordered at the bar and less than 15 minutes later I was presented with a wooden bowl of 33 glazed buffalo wings - all for £8.95! The price was good and the wings did live up to the hype but I wouldn't say they were earth shattering. There was just the right amount of glaze but the wings themselves lacked meat. Yesterday's visit to The Hudson reaffirmed how good the bar is in my eyes - it's such a jack of all trades - serves a whole host of different beers - I had the Sam Adams, something that you don't see too often in Belfast. Staff is friendly, but to my palette, the food was barely acceptable and reminiscent of the pre foil-wrapped burgers you get at a hospital or school cafeteria. There's a time and place for that type of burger, but not at these prices.
