Desserts consisted of delicious mini Lotus Biscoff vegan cheesecakes and Americano coffees. My dining companion wanted a soya milk latte but unfortunately they were out of soya milk, but the Americano coffee was good. We went for the burger deal for two and it was extremely good value for money at £20 for two burgers, chips and a drink each. The chips are proper thick chips and not fries. The burgers were proper thick handmade beef burgers topped with two buttermilk chicken goujons, tobacco onions, choice of salad and snuggled inside a toasted brioche bun. They were huge and really really filling. Theres so many restaurants now in the leisure park but this one will have no problem competing with the others.

I had the 10oz steak, my wife had chicken, two kids had steak sandwiches and our toddler had sausages and mash. The steak was tasteless, over-cooked and had no sign of any seasoning. Bland to say the least. My wife's chicken was also lack-lustre and greasy. The toddlers sausages were cheap, deep-fried rubbish - a chip van would offer better quality. On the whole, cheap ingredients with no love shown in the kitchen. Staff were courteous and friendly. Clearly lacked any real training. No mention of any specials, tried to take our order as soon as we sat down and returned to the table on three separate occasions to take our plates whilst the kids were still eating. Staff is friendly, but to my palette, the food was barely acceptable and reminiscent of the pre foil-wrapped burgers you get at a hospital or school cafeteria. Right down to even the tiniest details this place is perfect - they have mini duke boxes (50's style) where you can pay 20p for your choice of song. Right on to the important bit, the food. The menu is full of tempting delights but I went for the Smokestack burger upon a recommendation. I have to say I was not disappointed! The Burger bun was soft and fluffy, the burger was meaty and the extras combination were sublime. The best part of the burger was definitely the 'secret' sauce - sort of like a vinegary mayo. I'm underselling it with that description. Burgers will set you back £6.45 but they are not small and you certainly won't be hungry after eating them. I loved Eddie Rocket's - the only tiny thing I would mention is that it took a while for us to get our food which made us rush eating it. I will put this down to how busy it was. The place certainly isn't understaffed. Top marks from me - there's so much on the menu to sample that I will have to make a trip back soon!

When you enter Eddies you can see that it is just like stepping into a real American diner and a great touch is that there is a juke box at every table. The food is great also. This is at heart a burger joint and they do it well. I had a smokestake burger and it was delicious. Applewood cheese, onion rings and secret sauce allll gooooood!!! I had a nice beer to start, and it wasn't a Guinness because stouts aren't my thing, but whatever it was I remember it being excellent and local. Undoubtedly you could make this place a regular haunt and there is no shortage of drinks and food options to make this a go-to for a date, celebration, or a quick meal. The staff are welcoming, kind, and helpful and the general atmosphere is chill. The food for me was ethereal - a burger isn't just a burger here and what you get when you bite into the beef shin burger is a little slice of Heaven. Moist and tender are a given but the taste is just so divine with the caramelized onion, cheddar, and horseradish mayo melding into an union of perfection. It's hard not to describe one of the most memorable meals of my life in such hyperbole but the vivid recall I have of this particular place is uncanny and merits all the praise I can heap upon the fine folks that run the place. If timing had worked out, I would have eaten as meals here as I could have but I'll thank my lucky stars for at least giving me one opportunity to eat such a wonderful burger at such a wonderful eatery. We started with toppers which were fabulous and moved on to the Schinberger, roasted chicken, and ravioli all absolutely wonderful!! Where is waitresses were very attentive and do not ever skip the espresso crème brûlée it is to die for!!
