Went to the window and asked for 2 x 99p hot wings. They charged £1.19 for these. For some reason, I was persuaded to give this place another go, Christ knows why after the last time but give it a go I did. Firstly, any place with 2 people dining and 2 people queuing should not take 20 minutes to serve you, this is because there appeared to be one bloke doing both kitchen and drive through and another bloke on the counter who appeared to be on some sort of tranquillizer, certainly he was in no hurry and what speed he had was taken up by the 2 people dining coming back to complain about missing items on their order, the lady in front of me ordered a latte, sat down, took one sip and came back complaining it was cold. Mr Slow told her it was because it was the machine wouldn't heat the milk and any other one he made would be the same. She walked out in disgust, By this stage I wasn't prepared to sit in so I asked could I have my order in takeaway form. You would have think I told him his mum was a good shag going by the look and the theatrical fluffing of the paper bags, I nearly laughed out loud. Anyway, I took the food and went home. In the literally 5 minutes it took to get home, the "fries" were stone cold, straight to the bin, the missus was hungry enough to eat her burger lukewarm, but the chicken was returned to the oven to get good and hot. Anyway, I'd avoid it even more now, maybe people don't expect much, but you could make a load of fried chicken from Iceland for half the price and at least you'd know it was warm

Amazing food. However, the attitude of the blond, pierced girl has been extremely rude and…read morediscriminate one of our friends against his weight. She was giving cheeky, completely inappropriate jokes. That put our friend completely off to eat. We did not enjoy the meal even if it was great taste because of the atmosphere served lady caused. One of our friends asked for half portion and she refused to do it instead offering kids meal ( as she finally done ) she pointed on our 'bigger' colleague and said 'your friend can surely help you with other half). Since we arrived we heard small stupid comments, very cheeky, primitive. It is a shame as we came there second time ( we got this place recommended). After first night we did enjoy, ok we waited over 25 minutes for 6 dishes to come but overall we really enjoyed our time there. We have been served by the gentlemen who even informed that our food will be served to the table. I know this is not a sit down restaurant- more kind of street food place, but there is no matter as people should have been respected and place. We came next day and the whole experience just been horrible as this attitude was unacceptable. She did not even apologise. Maybe I would ignore this but unfortunately I run restaurant in England and if this kind of behaviour would come from any of my team members I would put this person straight into disciplinary prosecute and terminate against discrimination. I think this person is part of family business, so can't get fired, so I think good and professional feedback should be given - especially from the person who is over 11 years in industry and also gets feedbacks: Dear Blond Pierced Lady, Next time more humidity, respect, keeping head a little bit more down, be more acknowledged with law - as discrimination is AGAINST law and there can be legal procedures for this kind of behaviour. Don't familiarise to much with your clients if you can't get natural banter and jokes with them. You are at work - there is some rules and ethics which you definitely haven't been introduced to properly. It is a shame because you as business serve amazing Kebabs and food in general. People in United Kingdom would not expect that amazing food. Great, you bring this Polish quality of food, and portions are just huge which I believe are in very, very attractive prices. However, this place has bad values because of this kind of behaviour. It CAN NOT been tolerated. We have been visiting from England and had an amazing time, however we still are very disappointed by this matter. Will not come back even if we planning to be back to Belfast.

Been here several times for food after a day of trekking around Portrush…read more The one thing you are always guaranteed here is slow service. The biggest issue here is most of the food is made to order rather than having a steady supply of food ready. More often than not they are queued right out the door, again this is due to the person taking the orders disappearing after every order to do some seemingly imaginary task out the back, before returning to take the next order. They offer telephone orders so this also contributes to the extraordinary waiting time. Wanna beat the queue, ring your order through. The food here is just ok. I ordered the goujon special and when I got it home the chicken goujon a where actually closer to nuggets. Given the fact they were so small, I ate my right hand that night. Also the gravy is watery. I would suggest the cod goujons for a hearty feed. Overall the Dolphin is decent and the staff are polite and courteous, they called me "Sir". This pleased me, so I bumped them to 3 stars.

Surely the only civilised way to have it, no? The cod was firm and white and the batter suitably thick with a dash of grease. Perfect. The chips were not just so good and I fear they may have seen the deep fat fryer more that once, but hey, there are worse things in life to worry about. And I'm pleased to report that the two cost me a purse friendly £4. High fives to that. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I have cod and chips again? Darn right. But with a side of onion rings next time. Seriously though, the Dolphin does just what you expect it to - serve up lots of portions of fish and chips and pasties and sausages and onion rings. It's not sophisticated and I wouldn't recommend making eye contact with other customers late at night, but it hits the spot.
