Had to work out what this place is trying to be. Advertises itself as food, bar and disco. Will be interesting to see if that works out. The feel of the place is low budget. The food and drinks lack the depth of flavour you would get in another places. Sampled pizza and wraps. The dough wasn't the nicest. Quite think and stodgy. Like a bad frozen pizza. Interior is quirky with random ornaments and lots of graffiti. The staff are nice and cope well under pressure.

Definitely appeared to be & tasted like a shop-bought, frozen-type of pizza base!

Date of visit: Saturday, 3 September 2016 @2pm. Decor: Fantastic, I loved the funky colours and street-art-style wall murals. A really different, unique and distinctive restaurant space. Ambience: Dragged down by lack of clientele, there was only one other table occupied whilst I was there. Loud music helped lift the vibe a little. Food: Really not good. I was with two friends and we all ordered pizza with sides and dips. The pizza base was definitely not hand-made, instead it appeared to be poor-quality, shop-bought base with the bottom strangely doused in white flour. The tomato sauce was too strong, again like shop-bought tomato puree, whilst cheese was a bland cheddar. My side of fries were good but the dips came in very tiny portions. Overall pretty poor food. Drink: I started with a G&T which was fine, except I asked for a slimline tonic and only realised after pouring that it was standard tonic water. We shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio which was not the best, looking and tasting a bit yellow and old even though the year was only 2015. Service: Staff extremely pleasant and helpful, but unfortunately from start to finish there were a litany of mistakes made. Not getting the slimline tonic I asked for was just the start of a list of errors, thus followed: * I was given the wrong dip with my food and had to ask for the correct one. * One of our party was served fries instead of the Cajun Fries she ordered. * We thought we would try a Prosecco Fizz cocktail for dessert but they didn't have the ingredients to make them, so Vandal really should remove these drinks from their menu. * We were overcharged on our bill. The pizzas included a side and dip on the menu but we were charged extra for these. We pointed this out and had the bill amended, well kind of, they give us an amended bill with sides removed but with the dips still listed, as the till couldn't deduct these. So our bill stated one price but staff verbally told us the cost minus the dips. In conclusion, a very poor and disappointing experience and I won't be returning to Vandal. Unless there are serious improvements, I can't foresee this place lasting very long. One star for the cool, unique decor and one star for the two guys who served us as they were so nice, despite all the botch-ups. The food was not expensive, but I would happily pay more for better quality...

About 20 of us Yelpers ventured to Vandals for a real American feast. Vandals is the recently opened restaurant come club above and part of Whites. It's a real US graffiti styled bar/eatery/club. We were served a sharing platter of stuffed jalapeños, onion rings, battered mushrooms, BBQ wings and blue cheese wings, skinny fries, dips and a BBQ chicken pizza between two (for £23). This was followed by an aero ice cream sundae (£7.50). An absolute mountain of food and it was delicious.....could easily feed a family of four!!!! This really reminded me of being in the States...now I need to sleep it off!!

    Vandal sharing platter, simply devine!

It occupies the prime spot out of all the restaurants in Vic Square, the iconic glass corner tower ( ex Chiquito). Tony Macaroni is a large Scottish (Glasgow) chain of "Real Italian Food" run by Sep Marini. This is the second one in Northern Ireland (after Bangor). I brought my daughter as my plus one, a welcome distraction from AQE preparations!! She was so thrilled and excited as it was a surprise for her. The interior has all been totally refurbished with the main features being the bar and the open kitchen. On arrival we were very warmly met and seated by the Manageress. There was Prosecco on arrival but I opted for the sparkling water and Fanta for my daughter. The menu was very extensive, with lots of mouth watering, Italian named dishes and my daughter immediately spotted the calamari whilst I opted for the Gamberoni (prawns). After a few minutes our dishes arrived and looked incredible. They were big portions!! The squid was juicy and perfectly cooked and the garlic mayo and sweet chilli sauce accompanied them well, whilst the prawns were subtly flavoured with lemon, garlic and white wine and served with sticky rice. It didn't take us long to finish!! Spaghetti carbonara is a firm favourite for my two daughters and for me I love calzone, so I ordered the Americana and my daughter insisted on chips (I tried to dissuade her as I suspected the portions would be large). When the dishes arrived I was certainly right about the big portion sizes!! The carbonara was excellent (my daughters honest opinion!!) and I must say did taste excellent!! The chips were big fat fellows. My calzone was a bit plump round the edges but bursting with filling- the sausage, bacon and ham bursting out along with the tomato, cheese and onion and was tremendous! Alas bellies beat our eyes and we had to stop and leave room for desert!! We asked for the rest to be packed (so no 2 daughter wouldn't feel left out!!). For sweets my daughter chose the white chocolate sundae whilst I was recommended the toffee tablet cheesecake. When they arrived my daughters eyes lit up!! She immediately went to work, like a busy beaver, deconstructing it, peeling back the layers of cone, mint, cream, raspberries, vanilla and strawberry ice cream until the treasure of white chocolate was unearthed at the bottom. Meanwhile my toffee tablet cheesecake, topped with raspberries and blackberries and served with a pot of cream was equally indulgent. "Tablet" I hear you say, it's not medicinal but is what our Scots friends call butterscotch fudge. There were nice chunks on and in the creamy toffee cheesecake. The biscuit base was quite thin and the addition of the pot of cream was maybe too much!! This was all washed down with a cappuccino and hot chocolate. Well we could hardly move after all that!! The food was excellent and service was slick. We were given a nice gift bag containing a glass and bottle of Prosecco (for the wife of course!!) as well as the remains of the spaghetti and pizza (for no 2 daughter). I shall definitely be back with the rest of the family as there are a few dishes I want to try and I love the Presto menu for £5.95 (£6.95 on Sunday) and the breakfasts and the "Go Jimmy style" of having pizza/pasta half/half, a great way to share.

We popped in at 6pm and were promptly seated at a comfortable table with a view of the street outside. Staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered garlic bread and olives to start, washed down with delicious Prosecco. Mains of a Romano-Base Florentine and a Personalised Chilli Pizza followed with chilli oil and garlic oil for crusts. By this time we had finished our Prosecco and ordered a bottle of Soave which was delicious. As it was a birthday evening out we indulged in desserts of honeycomb, salted-caramel cheesecake and lemon posset crunch with a couple of fantastically flavoured Americano coffees. Overall food, drink, coffee and service were flawless. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pizza Express. It may be a chain restaurant, but it's a brilliant restaurant, and I too have now registered with 'My Pizza Express' online..

It's spacious and has plenty of natural lighting and I must say one of the nicest in Belfast!! Staff were fab also. Some great menu choices and deals. For the kids there's a 3 course meal for £7, girls had dough balls and salad to start followed by mini penne with ham and pepperoni pizza and then ice lollies. I had garlic bread with cheese, my wife had a tomato and mozzarella salad-both were lovely. For main I had an American hot pizza and my wife was so pleased to see her all time favourite dish back on the menu-cannelloni, which she ordered. Both were exceptional. To wash it all down we had water. Great vfm at £36!! All round fantastic
