I went to KFC Eau Claire about 1 month ago. I ordered online and prepaid online. when I arrived to pick it up, I was told they were out of chicken and to come back tomorrow. The lady was friendly. The place was clean and got my order quickly so I know everything was sitting under heating lamps. I've ordered here a handful of times, and my only complaint is the wait on food. The drive-thru takes AGES, but the food is worth it! The chicken is always crispy, even when I've stopped here late at night because of the munchies. The staff leaves a little to be desired, but that's okay with me. The mac & cheese is awesome and I really like their coleslaw for some reason. KFC is a refreshing change of pace when it comes to fast food in EC! read more

The KFC in general is pretty decent most of the time. However, one particular visit set the tone and has sparked this writer the wrong way. Everything seemed fine when we started the order. We gave our order, employee read it back right, no problem. When we pulled up to the window, the employee working the window got snarky (some lady wearing a Chad nametag on December 6th,2019 around 7:30-7:45 pm). So what happened was, customers in vehicle asked about a deal they had advertised inside regarding chicken wings. This deal was not on the outside menu. In a snarky way, she explained it and was asked if it could get added on. She did it, but gave an attitude and slammed the window shut. It wasn't busy at all, one car behind us. To let the vehicle behind go, they could have asked this vehicle's driver to come in to pick them up after they were done or drive around and give them to this vehicle. Like I said, it wasn't busy and it could've been handled so much better without slamming the window and getting all snarky. On top of that, despite reading the order right asking for tenders, they gave wings. The wings were for the person in the car who is so grossed out be having bones in the meat that it has to be boneless if meat is going to be eaten. It's not just grossed out, but it's actually a fear. Anyway, the store was contacted and they pushed it off as alright because the flavors were okay. All they did was try reasoning that it was okay because they gave us the BBQ and Nashvillen Hot BBQ flavored chicken. They don't even have much meat! The tenders have more meat which is what we paid for! PS: If the real Chad reads this, you are fine, not disappointed with you and this is not your fault. I love KFC and always look forward to going there! The chicken is most of the time amazing but sometimes soggy, always fresh during lunch and dinner rush. 97% of the time service is great and quick. The only bad thing I have to say about KFC is the grilled chicken, the 2 times I had it, it was dry and did not taste good at all. Overall, great place to eat, especially now that there is a dollar menu. read more

I don't really expect much from my fast food: just get me something hot, filling, fast, and cheap. Disappointingly the KFC in town has proven to rarely be any, let alone all, of the above. All but the tiniest of their meals will get you back 6-7 bucks, and if you add so much as one tiny side or an extra slab of soggy chicken you're headed into the double digits. I wouldn't mind the price if their chicken wasn't hanging out under heat lamps for god knows how long, arriving in my order warm-ish, limp and unappetizing. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me four times, shame on me for really wanting fried chicken. I would like to say that the staff have been really helpful and polite when I've returned on truly awful meal. read more

I would NOT recommend KFC by Altoona. The macaroni and cheese was crusty and old, and the chicken was grey, greasy and soggy. They forgot our drink (it was a kid's chocolate milk so I figured maybe they put it in the bag) and when I got home I called to complain and the manager was less than apologetic and couldn't seem to care less. We didn't eat the food, I received an in store credit, but I won't be back to redeem it since they can't bother to make sure their products are fresh before serving them.
