This KFC location is always clean, the employees are always attentive and my order is always correct. I like that they let you know who the chef is for the day preparing the chicken and their soda machine station is organized. The first time I came here was a few years ago back when they sold Honey BBQ Sandwiches. I can totally remember the day like it was yesterday. I came through the drive-thru, placed my order, picked up my food and proceeded out of the parking area. I was so hungry I couldn't wait to get home so as soon as I could I unwrapped the sandwich and took a bite. OMG!! My sandwich tasted ten times better than I had ever had. I couldn't wait to reach a red light so I could see what had been done to this sandwich that I have never experienced. They toasted the bun *insert a slow faint* It was so good I must have eaten it in under 5 minutes. I had to return the next day to see if they would do it again...they did! This time I had to park and go inside to find out if toasting the bun was an extra step they were taking at this location only. The employee informed me that the bun should always be toasted. I have continuously had problems with THIS and other KFC's. the last time being shorted a piece. My partner called and asked what to get on the way home, and since the KFC finally got an order right, I said let's try again. NEVER AGAIN !!! They have a "chicken and corn special" that used to be upgradable for an extra $1.00 PER PC. That's not free, folks, it's $1.00 PER PIECE, more than the special price per piece. The man said they don't do it anymore (as in, they turn down an opportunity to make more money) , even though they did it the week before. This place is sub par in quality and service (shorting pieces? Don't they teach them to count?) now they are just ridiculous. Boycott this dump! There are THREE great chicken places, right across the bridge " Popeye's" always reliable. "Boston Market" always fresh and special. I came through this particular drive-thru on my lunch break with a co-worker and we were completely taken aback by how rude and abrupt the young lady taking our order was. There was no long line or even another car behind us and she continually rushed us through while we were attempting to ask specific questions about the menu. She made statements such as "I already asked you what you wanted to drink" and "Is that it?" I had to pause several times as I couldn't believe my ears. I decided to drive up to the window and ask for her name. She advised us that it was Nikkita and if we could drive around to the front. No please or any type of pleasantry. We proceeded to wait in the front as she came out, walked up to my car, and almost dropped our food turning to walk away while mumbling something under her breath. I hope that someone has a conversation with this employee as my co-worker and I will not be coming back to this particular establishment. We work hard and on our lunch breaks are not looking to be treated with such disdain. To top all that off, the food was nasty and tasted old. read more

Super attitude at the drive thru! Made us drive around twice for one simple thing! Unlike others, I dig the new paint job, but they really need to send employees through a customer service course. Definitely the better of the two KFCs in Alameda, I've always received fast service at this location and well put together combos and bowls. The fact that the drive thru window is on the passenger side of the car can be a little awkward at times, but it's also good for when there's a lot of food... the staff are friendly and willing to set the food right onto your floorboard or seat without your having to awkwardly moving food across the steering wheel and your lap. read more

The old building was much better, at least there is more tables for dine in, and the parking lot is so small. The food is always good and bad, sometimes is fresh and often is like 4 hours old. When they were building the new location, I thought it would be nicer and bigger but after it was completed, is just a waste of money to remodel into something worse. LOOK, I travel to Hong Kong a lot, and their food is more fresh and of course not the same menu but hey at least I get a/c during hot days, don't have to smell oily when i come out of there and more friendly staff. Drive thru menu sign says for 1.99 you can upgrade your meal and get an extra side. Tried to add to my meal and they told me that you get a bigger side and bigger drink only. Manager says they know what the sign says. Maybe they do...but they OBVIOUSLY dont understand what the actual words mean put together in a sentence. KFC is pretty much KFC anywhere you go. The only diffrence is the employees. The employees here are nice and friendly and gives you all the time you want to place your order. I do like how they ask for your name and call you by name when your order is ready. The big negative about this place is that the entrance into the parking lot, there is a sign that says do not enter! Parking on the street sucked too as the area was PACKED but the food was good, and came out quick. read more

Worst KFC ever. I ordered a kid meal for my son and a #9 on their menu for myself. When I opened the #9 box, I thought that was the kid meal. I have never seen such small portions at KFC. The chicken was super thin, super small....and over-cooked. They gave me 9 fries (more like potato wedges). I asked them if they made a mistake and the employee, who was taking her dinner (and by the way had a lot of food on her tray) answered me "no, that's #9, no mistake". I can't really expect much from KFC, in my book they are 3rd in line in the fast food chicken race, and everything about this specific location shows exactly why that is. I came into this restaurant after peak hours when only one or two customers were dining and had to wait at least 3-5 minutes for someone to make their way to the register, so that I could place a simple order of 10 chicken wings and a large Diet Coke. I ordered my food, but as soon as it arrived I noticed that I was not given chicken wings, but instead was given colonel's strips and a medium regular Coke. I proceeded to attempt to correct the employee's mistake, but was immediately dealt a great deal of attitude and was told that I hadn't originally ordered those items. After a few argumentative minutes, I finally gave up and asked for a manager to issue a refund, which they did, and I took my happy A** across the street to Jacks, where they don't mind giving me what I want, which just so happened to be a Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger, Yum:) D***, i'm a fat kid, oh well, just don't go to this KFC; Boo!!! read more

This place is the absolute WORST!!!! I wish I could give zero stars. EVERY SINGLE TIME I've come to their drive thru - which is only about 2-4x/year - there is a problem. I'm done with them, never going back. This time I had to drive back through TWICE after receiving my order.... The first time because they gave me a large extra mashed potatoes instead of a small, and they forgot my drink. Instead of just fixing it quickly, I had to sit outside the service window for several minutes while they discussed it amongst themselves trying to figure out if they owed me money back (apparently they did not because they gave me a discount the first time through - whatever). I eventually got my stuff and drove off, only to discover I had no utensils for my sides. So had to drive back through for those. THEN, when I finally dig into my 2-piece combo order, I discovered they'd given me 2 drumsticks instead of a breast/drumstick combo. I decided against driving back through a 3rd time. I also had no napkins, had to special request butter for my biscuit, and they kept my receipt instead of giving it back to me, so I don't have my order # and transaction details to report the incident to KFC via website email. I was very disappointed with my experience at KFC. First, there was not enough food to fill 2 buckets! They didn't even offer to have me wait for more to be cooked. I felt that because I had a coupon, they did not want to sell to me at the discounted price. --The coupon allowed up to 4 buckets at the discounted price. Second, the cashier, the Chinese girl, was extremely rude. When I asked for my coupons back, she acted like that was so difficult to do, and then ripped off the top coupon--which also ripped the next two, rendering those impossible to use.
