Ok so first off... there was no sign to find the location within the parking lot so I had to call. Second, Google said that they were open 24hrs, I know that's not all their falt. When speaking to him, he confirmed that they were in fact 24hrs but all he did was be very rude over the phone and try to send me away. He acted like he couldn't be bothered by me coming. The best comparison I can give it is when a kid is super in to a video game and mom or dad say "hey please take out the trash." But the kid just rolls his eyes. He was that kid. The only reason for two stars is that I didn't even get to go inside and see the overall service so I couldn't just give him a one. The five-star average rating speaks for itself. Andy from Keyway Locksmith was very quick to respond to my messages (despite messaging him at night!), and he charged me a more than fair rate. He works very quickly and efficiently, and he was very honest and helpful (he explains very well about how he was going to fix the lock, and he gave us some good advice). I also contacted many, many other locksmiths through Yelp at night, and Andy was the first to respond. Some of the other locksmiths responded to me two days later! The other locksmiths were quoting me too much and that price only included breaking open the lock, and not replacing it (I had to pay extra to replace it). It was frustrating because the other locksmiths were not transparent about this, I had to ask many questions and once I realized I needed to replace the lock as well, they quoted me even more. Andy was not like this at all. He was upfront and honest and transparent, and he took out all the frustrations. He made it simple and easy. He told me exactly what he was going to do and at no point did I feel frustrated. He was not intimidating at all (unlike many of the other locksmiths I spoke with on the phone), and he made us feel safe and taken care of. And his quote beat most of the other locksmiths! What more can I ask for? If you have an electronic lock with a keypad (such as Schlage or Kwikset), Andy can help you as well. I am very pleased with this service, and I highly recommend Keyway Locksmith. Hopefully, there won't be a lockout situation again, but if it happens, I know I will call Andy again, without a doubt. It's Father's Day around 10 pm and I'm driving back to my Whittier home from my parents house in Northern California, we are about 2 hours away from home when I realize that I didn't have my house keys with me. This is my first time using Andy's service, and it is by far the best experience I've had using any service! I was locked out of my home office with the key inside. I called Andy but he had several appoints that he could not come until two hours later, so I called Bovington Lockout Service listed as in Walnut at 909-978-6055. Huge mistake! I'll tell that story in their review if I can. In any case, I called Andy again and asked him to come even though it was getting late at night. Andy came over as soon as he finished his prior appointments. When I opened the front door, before he even stepped in, with a bright smile one doesn't expect at 10:30pm, he handed me his business card. On the card was his name, phone numbers, email address, website link, and most importantly, his license number. Andy immediately started working on the lock. I almost stopped him before 10 minutes was up because I was worried that he might be damaging the keyhole like the Bovington guy was. But not Andy. He gently smiled and assured me that he would not cause damages, and gave it another try. Sure enough, within five minutes the door was unlocked! I found the key in the office, tried it on the lock, and it worked perfectly. What Andy charged would be very reasonable for a regular hour service, and much more so for an out-of-office-hour one.
