They confirmed the night before that they would come program my key the next afternoon, after i stressed that the car was subject to getting towed, so i needed it done, then the whole day got ghosted by them and ended up having to pay a drop fee for the tow truck when they tried to tow it. Very unprofessional and unreliable. Now im trying to find another locksmith that can come through before i have to pay to drop my car again or get it out of impound. ::update:: they responded 2 days after and said they were busy coaching a baseball game. If that were the case, the appointment should of never been made, considering they were the one who gave the availibility and suggested the appointment time. This is a super shady, incompetent business. They didn't know how to properly program the Hyundai smart key fob and instead only cut the manual key and asked us for the full programming fee for having done no programming. Now, not only can't I get a refund for the key fob, they're scamming us out of the money for not programming the key fob. After refusing to pay for services they didn't render, the guy then talks to his boss who gives him some advice and he manages to program it halfway (it'll start the car, but doesn't open the door or do anything else), and in the process bricked our only other working key (which had nothing wrong with it). After talking to the dealership, apparently you need to program the keys together, but this company has no idea what they're doing with Hyundai smart keys and didn't do this and now we are screwed with a non working key and one that only partially works. If they didn't know how to properly program a Hyundai key, they shouldn't have accepted our business. Meanwhile in conversation with this business owner, after we refusing to pay he says that we should "Watch it" and then texts us "Your a joke, complete waste of time. Dont call again." Didn't have my key for the 2nd lock on my condo front door and needed to get in right away. There was a tech in the area and he arrived in 10 minutes. It took him less than five minutes to open the door (yay!). It was a simple twist lock door (like the bathroom type). Only giving 3 stars as I was charged $75!!! I had the unfortunate event of losing the keys to my car, a 2013 Toyota Prius, which, unfortunately, is keyless, meaning it requires a keyfob to start. After hours of searching, I finally folded and started researching car locksmiths. Fortunately (and unfortunately), this was not the first time my keys were misplaced (previously hidden by my first born and later found), which meant I had a physical keyfob, but required reprogramming to start my car. I contacted about four, looking for the best rate and Master Lock & Key came with the best cost. Mike, the locksmith, showed up within 15 minutes of my call, which was great, considering I could not start my day without a working key. When he arrived, he texted me, as opposed to ringing my doorbell, which I appreciated because it was pretty early in the morning. I passed him my keyfob and he got to work. That set of keys hadn't been used in years, so the battery happened to be dead. He informed me about the battery, then went to the store to get me a new one. Once he returned, the job was done within 20 minutes and I was able to start my day! Considering checks become more and more obsolete everyday, it was really nice that he took Venmo, which made payment a breeze. Mike you were 3 hours late when you were paid to program my key at the dealer. Since then you've bailed over 7 times when we agreed on a day And you only gave a heads up one time when canceling. Each time I have made sure the car stayed at home with someone there to meet you, all day, for no reason. Then you had me call someone else who never responded to me. I have had to text and call you over 20 times over 6 weeks to try to get you to do something you've already been paid for. Then you stopped responding entirely. My advice to anyone reading this: make sure you don't pay before the job is done! edit: Mike, you never told me you couldn't do the job. You never told me you refunded the dealer.
