The ladies have major attitudes when asking general questions. She didn't even know what time cosmic bowling starts. Keystone Lanes is known for their deals but not so much their personality. Even in an unpleasant business you'll find a crowd of people who can endure issues for the price of a good deal. The front desk is where you always get a feel of how the place runs. Let's just say the only feeling I got was irritation. I work with individuals who have disabilities and while we were in line, each person who was paying in front of us had to face a very unhappy employee. It was only noon and he seemed to constantly be rude to each customer by rushing and being standoffish. By the time we approached the front he certainly did not have the patience. My group needs little more time than the rest of the customers and instead of acceptable service he mostly gave an annoyance vibe. Everyone loves a good deal but is it tolerable enough to be left feeling disrespected? Besides the service, the equipment is very old fashioned but still very usable. The best feature about this bowling alley was probably how clean it was. If Keystone Lanes had better service then it would be a solid 3.5. Still worth a go. read more

Do NOT come here in the mornings. I usually take my clients with disabilities here to bowl in the morning and Wanda was extremely patient and understanding. She also charged $2 per game no matter the time, no matter how early. Lately, Wanda retired and a snobby cranky impatient rude lady named Mary Lou replaced her. She sighs loudly and looks like she hates her job with no patience for the customers, especially those with disabilities. She makes everyone in line regret talking to her. She's just a cashier for a bowling alley. Mary Lou needs to chill the F out. She's extremely uptight and when she makes a mistake by giving a customer the wrong lane to bowl in or if the lane ends up not working, she would sigh loudly and announce the world of troubles she has to go through to reverse the charges or make lane changes. As previously stated, Wanda would give us the $2 per game anytime anyone arrived. But Mary Lou is making us wait until 11am -- just another 5 minutes for the $2 games. I want to complain to management, but the manager is nowhere to be found. I think I might've ran into her my first time coming here when I brought in mcdonalds. She straight up walked to me and rudely said "Throw it away now!" "Throw it away or get out!" After a few of those, and asking for an apology for rude behavior she finally said "There's no outside food allowed. And I don't need to apologize to you." Honestly if it weren't for the cheapish prices, this bowling alley is doomed to sh*t with the kind of customer service they provide. Update: After we went in line again at 11am, she charged my client $5.50 instead of $6. Then $3 for my other client instead of $2. Seriously what the hell. Ok so the Old Man is in this bowling league and keeps inviting me to stop by and check out his "Senior Bowling League" that he is a part of. Family is important, so I swallow my pride and head down today to hang for a few and socialized with the dinos. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found! Some of these species are pretty fracking cool! I got hooked up with a "Macho Nacho" and a large My. Pibb just for coming by! Watch the dinos bowl and some are damn good - much better than me. The Old Man's team won their match-thing and I met some cool people. Met a nice young lady while leaving too. Poor girls bag ripped on the way out while I was acting all gentleman like and holding the door open for her. I felt bad and saved her ball from rolling out the door. She was having trouble getting it all together and getting to the car, so what should one do? Help her to the car of course! ;) The rest doesn't pertain to this review lol! All in all, place was very clean, great looking lanes with TVs and cool scoreboards, good food and snacks and the prices to bowl weren't that bad either. I actually had a good time and the dinos won which made it better! I might actually start bowling as long as they let me drink my beer down by the lanes. This is a great bowling alley. I've been here many of times and have never had a bad experience. The staff are pretty friendly and respectful. They don't make u feel like crap or your not welcomed there. The food court has pretty damn good food. They have Pizza Hut pizza. The cheese fries are awesome!!! As well as the mozzarella sticks. Plus they have a good amount tables and chairs if you want to eat in the food court. The bar is clean and serves good drinks. The have a pool table just inside of the bar. You can karaoke if u like. They have a small stage. This alley has about 40+ lanes and the also do the cosmic bowling for the people that into bowling in glow in the dark. I've been here once before with no issues. But after yesterday, there is more to complain about. The min credit/debit charge at the bar and the snack stand is $10, but it isn't posted anywhere. That being said, my buddy bought a pizza, and I was to buy the drinks. He bought the pizza with his debit. I ordered a couple drinks and tried to pay with my debit, but was THEN told that there is a $10 minimum. Great. Ok, so I ask for a glass of water. He wants to charge me a quarter each cup of iced tap water. Ugh. Good thing the lady at the bar was nice enough to give us free water. I had enough cash for the water, but still...it would be nice to post minimums somewhere. Oh yeah, and when we went to order our medium pizza, the guy at the register told me that there was no way to order half & half pizzas. This is a pizza hut express, and I've actually worked at two different pizza huts totaling about 5 years. We did half and half all the time. Oh but wait....you're thinking the pizzas are pre-made, right? Umm.. when I found out that I wouldn't be able to drink anything with my food, I asked the guy to cancel it. He said, its too late to cancel it, "She's making it right now." Meaning, it hasn't gone in the oven, it still doesn't have toppings on it, it can easily go back into the walk-in fridge which I am oh so familiar with. We came here mainly to play air hockey since the table at Golf N Stuff only reached our knees. We didn't even get to do that. The game room did not have any cooling system and the heat hit you in the face as soon as you walk in. Only took us a few steps inside to make us start sweating. I was also looking to purchase some type of bottled water to maybe make up the difference needed to get our sodas, but that is unavailable through the bar or snack shack. I suppose since this place is a bowling alley I should be reviewing that, but since I didn't bowl, I'll review the bar- since that's where I was all night! First time there with a couple of friends on a Friday night just about when the bad karaoke started. It was entertaining and we were enjoying the drinks, so we stayed for more. We must be gluttons of punishment. Anyway, no real bartenders here/ just a cool "drink machine" (as we called it) that could make just about anything we asked for. I should back up a minute... the security guard and the popo at the entrance made me kinda nervous upon entry, but I grew up in da hood so I was sure I could handle it. And handle it, I did. My wife and I came to my company annual bowl tournament know as the Piggy bowl at Keystone lane in Norwalk. Very nice place and clean place, they good choice of bowling balls. I can't believe how much this place wants to take every penny from a customer. After paying $78 to bowl and $20 in the bar, I asked for water at the bar and was told to go to the Pizza Hut where they tried to charge me $1 for tap water. I then told my kid to go to the drinking fountain but it was broken! Literally do not want to come back here over tap water...how sad. I also stopped buying drinks after that first round when I would have bought 4-5 rounds so this place lost $100 over tap water. read more

We held my son's birthday party here and it was a blast! Everyone had a great time, and it was so easy! Food, drinks and service were perfect! All you do is just to show up and they handle the rest! About 10 parties came after me and were helped to a lame within reasonable timing. Went there 7-12-2019 at 11:00 when they open. They said 10 min more because they cannot clock in till 11:00. 10 min turned into 30 min. The cash register jammed with my money in it so they couldn't give me change or receipt. So I waited longer. Then my lanes were on the blink and had to wait again for them to change our lanes. I was working with disabled adults and we are on a schedule. Later that day at 2:00 pm my daughter went with her friend to bowl the &2.99 per game special till 4pm. My daughter asked for two games each which should be $12. She was charged $15 and another $4 for her friend and they were only given 1 game. They asked for a second game and were refused. Oh and no receipt again because of problems with cash register. I don't even know who take this complaint to. Taking advantage of kids is low. read more

Awesome bowling spot! It's huge! They have 2 separated areas when you first walk in. One to the right and one to the left, so there is normally a lane open. The Pizza Hut express there is awesome as well. They have a bar area and a whole huge room with pool tables too. Great place on Friday and Saturday nights if you want to do Cosmic Bowling too! Only taking iff a star because it's pretty expensive, like $32 an hour and 4.99 per person for shoes... Just call and ask when they have specials if you wanna get your bowl on and not break the bank. read more

I placed a reservation HOURS in advanced and when I showed up to check in, the MANAGER NAMED DAVE PIAZZA, he literally talked to me so disrespectful and degraded me and told me my place in line doesn't matter (even tho we showed bank statements it went through). When I was walking away he told me " don't ever come back" just cus I told him not to talk to me disrespectful and he laughed very loud!!! That place doesn't give a shit if ur money was taken or NOT. They took my money and said I still couldn't play bowling and then they kicked me out personally and locked the doors when I tried to talk to the manager who was the one using curse words at me!!!! Went there for the first time. This place has two sections. One side will have regular bowling while the other side has cosmic bowling. Not sure if its always like that but at least you have the option. There is a pool hall connected to the place as well. The staff there seemed to be half and half. I saw some staff members working hard and being professional while others were grumpy and rude to their customers. The place is pretty clean for all the action it gets. Seems to be very family oriented. Overall, a decent place to just bowl for fun. OH...they have a Pizza Hut contracted inside. Great for kids. read more

We had my daughter's birthday party here and was very impressed with everything from start to finish! When we arrived 30 minutes early, everything was already set up. We were upgraded for free to the Cosmic bowl since there weren't enough lanes on the other side, which was amazing. Our food was ready when we requested. All of our additional orders were brought out very quick! Our hostess was amazing!!! I wish I could remember her name but I will call the bowling alley and ask later so I can show her the proper recognition. As soon as guests arrived, she brought them to the counter to get their shoes. She set them up and was constantly watching to see if they needed additional help. She was always around to ask for help and what we wanted to do next. She updated us when the bowling time was almost over and gave us an option to extend out time, which we did. At the end, the manager came to explain the final bill and to take payment. He was very courteous and took our payment and returned promptly. My daughter almost didn't have a party this year but I'm so glad we booked at Keystone Lanes. All of our party guest, kids and adults, stated that they really enjoyed their experience. Ok, so the ambiance, shoes, balls, and customer service were just satisfactory, so why the 4-star rating? Well I had a blast bowling at this alley for the first time tonight but mainly I would come back because of the deals. When we got here it was before 9PM and pretty packed. We asked the guy how long the wait would be and he said we should just wait until 9 because of Strike Night - $2 games after 9PM on Mondays and Tuesdays! Perfect! So my friend and I made a beeline for the bar while we waited for the clock. I started with a Midori Sour ($4.75) and bought a 20 oz cup of Shock Top ($4) for my buddy. The Midori Sour was tiny but really well made. Just a quick tip, they don't accept debit so bring cash or use credit if you want to avoid ATM fees. I really need to remember to carry around cash as the ATM didn't accept my card for some reason. Luckily, the bartender was nice enough to swipe my debit for me anyways, but then I thought well why don't they just accept debit in the first place?!? -___-. Finally it was 9. Their shoes run a half size big ($4 shoe rentals) and if you want a ball lighter than 10lbs you have to fork over your other shoe too. I bowled a terrible 3 games tonight. A total score of 216 for those 3 games combined. *Le sigh* Just going to throw this out there for any decent bowlers willing, coach me please! All in all, I had a fun night. I'm no professional bowler so who cares if the shoes aren't the best quality and some of the balls are chipped. As long as I can knock out pins I'm set. The service could definitely use some work, and as for the ambiance, I'm of the opinion that if you come with good company it's always a good time. Pros - No wait, lots of lanes, $2 game night on Monday and Tuesday. Cons - Smells like cigarette and have a BAD service...the girls at the cashier seemed as if they didn't want to work there. For every question I asked, they would give me an attitude. :( Other than that...I had a fun time with my family. I've never have gone through so much trouble to bowl. After some confusion for cosmic bowling and trying to understand what our reservation covered and trying to see if we can make changes I was just fed up. The service was horrible, they were annoyed because we were confused and kept changing our mind instead of trying to help us understand. The bar has horrible service as well, it took like 10 mins to get a pitcher of beer, that was watered down. Once we got to bowling, there weren't any balls available except 14 and 16lb balls and the smaller balls were already rented out. You have to give them your other shoe to get the ball. Krystal Gonzales has the poorest customer services skills, truly lacks communication skills and professionalism. She hold the title as event coordinator for keystone lanes. Management really needs to rethink who should be holding this position. We are Trying hold a bowling/bday party for my nephew and a few of his friends. His mom called two days prior and was told to come down to reserve the lanes. Next day we go the keystones to reserve the lanes and a very nice lady of mature age helped us. She saw that we were doing something small and really didn't need a party package. She advised us to come back at 3:30 the next day to reserve the lanes for 4pm. We asked if ice cream and cake was allowed. She said yes but no outside food. We thanked her and left. Sunday we come back to reserve lanes as planed. Krystal told us we couldn't reserve anything and we couldn't pay. She said come back at 4pm. We told her what was told us the day before. She was very nonchalant about it and didn't offer any options. We asked if we could store the ice cream for the children she said no! We explained that we were told we could bring ice cream and she said you can't store it here! Ok at this point we're really holding back trying to stay positive. So we order food and sat around waiting for the time she told us to come back. We went back at 3:35p and decided to see if we were able to pay now since the kids were getting restless. Krystal tells us I have a waiting list with 5 people ahead! That's when we asked her how could this be? We've been her following your instructions and you never called us, waved us down or pages us about a waiting list starting. Where is the customer services? She kept a smile on her faces as if this was amusing or funny. She gave us a card and said call my manager. I told her I sure will be calling. This attitude of unprofessionalism is exhausting. We went bowling last night with our kids and old friends that we haven't seen since a while. We use to go to this bowling place all the time 10 yrs ago. It use to be great. Anyway, last night was a nightmare. The entire staff gives super bad and negative attitude about everything. Plus the fact that they don't accept Debit Cards. Really? Come on now! They only take cash or credit cards. If any where on your bank card they see the word "DEBIT", they will refuse it for no reason. Unfortunately, I had to withdraw cash from their ATM which of course comes with a cost plus my bank will asses me a separate fee. My lil girl spilled her drink and they were upset because they had to clean. It took my wife and I(two separate trips) to go ask them for their help on having someone to clean it up and of course I received attitude from the rude, sarcastic, annoyed cashier. A young Caucasian lady. Didn't catch her name but my advice to you is stay away. It is very dead in there. Now I know why. It is not how it use to be when we were younger. read more
