My son Finley has been coming to Triple Play and working with Manny Jr. for 4 years now. I literally stumbled into the place walking around the area while my son was playing toque soccer next door. When he started there, he was a .238 hitter in 10U. Now at 13U, he's hitting .480 and one of the best hitters on his team. I can't say enough good things about our experience. It's a no nonsense facility, extremely busy and you see everyone putting in the work. From Manny Jr. , Manny Sr., to Kristina, everyone working there is so nice. Manny Jr. is really good about finding an age appropriate approach that will work for your child. He is direct, he doesn't coddle, and yet he builds confidence in a way my son really believed he could be a hitter. Even now at 13, whenever he has a big day, he can't wait to share it with Manny Jr....and when he has a rough day at the plate, he will ask to see Manny. There's no substitute for when your child has a hitting coach they trust. They discuss mechanics, game situations, and the importance of school because wanting to play baseball in college can't happen without good grades. I can't recommend the facility enough. If you are serious about committing to your child getting better in baseball or softball, Triple Play is a great place to start. read more

I take my son here several times a week to work on his hitting. He wants to be the best player he can be and wants to play above the high school level. To do that you must have commitment but ALSO you need the facilities! Since 8th grade (he's a junior now) we have been coming to Triple Play. His progress is outstanding and is one of the most consistent hitters on his HS team! It is a family run facility and Manny, Manny Jr. and the whole staff treat us like family. We take advantage of the "Hitters Club" ($175 a month) and it allows us to come three times a week if not more and save a ton of money! By being able to do tee work, front toss, live pitching and machine pitching it allows us to work on all facets of hitting. We get to work through the slumps as well as stay hot when he's killing the ball. We love Triple Play batting cages and would give 6 stars if possible! Come in and give it a try! read more

Enjoyed my second appt there just for casual bp with the boys; the older gentleman could of at least held his tongue and not make comments about inexperience baseball players and how the guys behind us are better. You're the owner, you shouldn't setting that tone for your customers who may now take their business elsewhere. The lady was very kind as well as the younger lad. read more

Brought my son here for the first time. Danny was super nice and chill. He taught my 4 year old how to properly hit a ball off a T. I loved that he was patient with him. He even gave him a hat. That was super cool of him. They offer lessons which I will definitely be signing him up for because he enjoyed himself. My son wanted to have a Baseball themed 9th birthday party this year and since a majority of my family live in Downey, we contacted Triple Play, Inc. which is located in Downey. This Facility is an indoor Baseball, Softball batting cages and also has T-Ball for the little ones, along with a lane for pitching. Clean facility and the staff is friendly and very professional. We brought over our family, friends as well as some of the boys from my son's baseball team to not only have fun, but a day of at the batting cages. We all had a blast at these cages, little ones were experiencing T-ball, my son and his team-mates all had a great day of batting practice and all of the adults got to have a little fun at the cages. They offer a very cost effective birthday package with Pizza and drinks for everyone, a great value for the money! We all had a great time, and the cages and pitching machines are all new and the facility is clean and the staff is warm and welcoming! We look forward to bringing our son and some of our team mates here for practice and they also offer personal training in batting, pitching and you can tell they have the passion for what they do! Great facility! This place is great for afternoon fun or to practice your swing. Bring 2 people though.

My daughter has been coming in for three months for hitting with Coach Manny. My daughter has received compliments from teammates, parents, and coaches about her improved hitting. We have also rented out their cages for group hitting sessions. Although it can get super busy in here, the staff and instructors are always courteous. Area is very clean and well kept, as are the restrooms. I highly recommend Coach Manny and Triple play Batting cages! I'm excited to witness my daughter's growth and constant improvement because of his hitting instruction. read more

I dont normally post but I have to take the time to express my humble opinion of this establishment. This review may be a but long but there arent enough words to explain how great this company is. These batting cages offer it all. They have softball and baseball cages. The balls must be fed to the batter but the speeds can be adjusted according to each person's individual needs. People can also work off of a tee individually. They offer a variety of classes which are taught by very knowledgeable staff. MANNY GARCIA sets the bar high as far as coaches are concerned. He doesnt just tell you how to bat/pitch, he explains the mechanics as well as the science behind the mechanics. Nothing is a guessing game with him. If you have quesions, hes got explanations that help you understand. His coaching technics are the best Ive seen. He never insults or puts the student down; Always positive reinforcment and encouragement. His approach varies from student to student. I have two daughters who go to him and he finds a way to connect to each one and coaches them according to their needs. They also offer softball camps. As a personal witness, the camps offer priceless training to help your softball player strengthen their skills. My daughter learned so much from the camps. She went from being a sub on her varsity team to being a starter and playing on a travel ball team. I know she couldn't gave done that without the help from Triple play. They also love to help out our youth. My daughter finished and internship with Triple Play. She was required to complete 128 hours of internship to graduate from high school. Manny worked with her schedule and taught her so much. Our family is completely grateful for Manny and the whole staff. We had our daughter's birthday party and it was a hit. All the kids and adults had a lot of fun. The owners and the staff were very helpful, professional and kinds to us. Our hot dog guy set up outside, next to the shutter that connects to the rear parking lot. Everybody had some much much that some of my family are planning out in to rent it again just to hang out. Me and my wife where looking for a location that we could bring our own food,drinks ,t-ball, and different speed batting cages for our son and guest. Today we celebrated our son 2nd Birthday. Everything went so well and we hit it out the park with the location. Triple Play Batting Cages is the best facility to throw a baseball theme event. My daughter has been a client of Cecily for the last 10-12 weeks and I cannot begin to tell everyone what a great batting coach Cecily is. Not only has my daughters batting improved, but she has given my little girl the confidence to step up to the plate, and know SHE CAN hit the ball. That for me is PRICELESS! We drive over 30 miles for lessons with Coach Manny and staff and it's well worth the drive! The facility is second to none with multiple hitting cages and a sod floor for condition classes. My review is way over due. Have a teen who started training with Mr Manny. Though Mr Manny is tough he teaches with compassion. He was and is always very thorough and is a great communicator with parents. Started my little one a bit ago with Manny Jr, taking a small break, but will definitely get back to it after soccer is over. Also, my eldest had Christina tutoring him in Math and I can't say enough how dedicated she is. Always willing to accommodate especially knowing how parents schedules are.
