Putting customers first goes a long way. I found this place while I was driving by and figured I bring my son in for the cages. We first showed on a Saturday morning as they opened. Although the main window was closed, we were greeted across the way by a gentleman who immediately came over to check us in. The gentleman was multitasking around the area but at the same time, very attentive to my inquiries and made sure we were taken care of. A week later, we decided to book some lessons- their website is very easy to navigate and the pricing is very reasonable. When we showed up to our first session we were setup with Coach Reuben. To my surprise, Coach Reuben is also the same gentleman than helped us the very first day we came by. Coach Reuben has been very attentive to my son's coaching and provides me feedback on what we can work on in between sessions. Coach Reuben has an unwavering passion in what he does at The Hitting Zone and it shows everytime we see him. He provides exciting lessons for my son and even gives me a few pointers I can learn too. I am extremely disappointed by our recent experience at The Hitting Zone Batting Cages in Santa Fe Springs. My husband was standing in line waiting for the cashier when the individual who identified himself as the manager (and stated it was his business) approached from behind. Instead of saying "excuse me," he pushed his hand in front of my husband's face and physically bumped into him to move past. My husband had no idea anyone was behind him and was caught off guard by the contact. When my husband calmly said something along the lines of "relax," the situation escalated unnecessarily. The manager became loud and confrontational in front of other customers, stepped into my husband's personal space, and made statements such as, "What's up then, you ain't going to do shit," clearly attempting to provoke a physical reaction. The interaction was aggressive, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate especially from someone representing the business. Ultimately, my husband was asked to leave, despite the fact that the situation began because the MANAGER chose to handle a simple moment without basic courtesy. No customer should feel threatened or publicly antagonized for standing in line. Professionalism and basic respect go a long way, and unfortunately, we did not experience either here. read more

Bad customer service. Waited over 20 minutes and still wasn't helped. Worker was at the cages working with some kid. He looked over and saw me twice and didn't acknowledge me. Once he was done throwing to the kid all he said was hold on. Still doing didn't walk over to the window. As I walked away all he did was yell again hold on. If you're going to run a business, you need someone at the window helping customers. If you want to train on the side you need about worker there. Last time visiting this cage. I booked online to reserve a cage from 10AM to 11:30AM on a Sunday. Reservation process was super easy, and I really liked that you can book it ahead of time so you know you'll have the exact cage you want. Once in the cage, it's pretty standard stuff: push the button, swing at some pitches, repeat. I found it pretty unprofessional, however, that when I arrived at 10AM the facility was locked up--no attendant around, couldn't get in to check into the cage I had paid for a week ahead of time. Waited in the parking lot for a bit, and just as I'm pulling up my banking app to dispute the $55 I had paid to reserve a cage since the place was closed, an attendant strolled in very nonchalant at 10:20 to open the place up. When I was finally able to check in, there was no "Sorry I was late," or "You can stay an extra 20 minutes to make up for the 20 you were shorted due to my tardiness," nothing. Checked me in like nothing happened. I felt a bit cheated out of the fees I paid since I didn't get the full 90 minutes I paid for--through no fault of my own. For that reason, I cannot fully recommend this batting cage, most especially early in the morning, as I can't guarantee they'll open on time and you could be short-changed on cage time based on what you paid and when the attendant decides to show up. Buyer beware on this one, folks. read more

So,I do have to say that this place was pretty awesome! I was not aware that this place was here. Now I'm stoked that its close to where I live. I came here during the week, much later in the evening and there was a lot of people. You can tell that a lot of regulars attend this place. Everyone was really friendly and kind. I liked that the parking was accessible, right in front of the place. The person who greeted us was friendly. We enjoyed our free check-in free t-shirt that we got. They looked pretty cool. once inside the cages, it was nice. We paid $13 for 15 minutes. Time flew because we were having so much fun. Been coming to this place since it opened and for the most part have always been happy with the service! Machines are not always consistent or accurate but since it's near my home and family owned I enjoyed coming here! Was there 11-17-17 and could not be more disappointed in the service and treatment I received! Wanted to toss some balls to my son and rented cage 14, was given a bucket with about 15 balls! 6 which were the worse plastic balls ever! Completely disappointed in today's cage time. Called in hours in advance to book the self pitch cage and upon arrival the employee could not find the adequate machine. I was given a bucket with the most horrible quality balls ever. Most balls were misshaped (egg shaped) of how badly used they were. My daughter which is in 8U was unable to get good hitting time in, because again we kept trying to adjust the machine that kept sending low balls, short balls or high balls. A complete disaster, waste of time and money. I should of asked for a refund. Safe to say I will never return here again. read more

As far as value, they can't be beat. $13 for 15 minutes is the perfect amount of time to get some reps in. Also, whenever I go, the employees are always quick to get me checked in. Diana and the rest of the staff run a tight ship here. Broken machines and/or running out of balls is never an issue here. Plenty of parking, clean and safe too.
