There really are not enough batting cages in the Pasadena / Glendale area! It's really just limited to Batcade in Burbank, which is crazy expensive, or this place. A-1 is more discounted, but you also get what you pay for. Don't expect a premium place, but if you are just looking to hit a few balls for a few minutes, this place is great. It's close to where my wife and kids get their hair cut, so if we are in the area, I like to stop by for 15 minutes so my son can take some swings. They have different speed cages, and only accept cash. Fellow working there is nice enough, but by no means is he overly friendly. This is a bare bones establishment, and if that is what you are looking for (as I was) it is perfect! I'll be back again when I'm in the area, but don't think I'll make the drive from Glendale. If anyone wants to open a similar place in the La Canada / La Crescenta area, i really think it would be a money maker! contact me and i'll invest! read more

This is a great place to relieve stress or just practice some baseball hits. I felt the rates were very reasonable, also they allow you to borrow bats and helmets for free when you're batting. You get unlimited hits for a certain time period and I felt 20 minutes for me and another person was enough to be satisfied. It does get quite busy during some times and you may need to wait depending on what speed you want the balls coming at but this place is definitely worth coming too if you like baseball! Parking is on the side with a small lot and plenty of street parking otherwise. read more

Needed to release some stress and I'm glad I came here. The guy working is friendly, recommended I start at 40 mph and it was perfect. The first 2 hours of opening 15mins in the batting cage is $12! The first thing I noticed when I saw the place was the giant golf ball, painted to look like a baseball. Which I thought was pretty funny. Now I'm no expert. So take this review with a grain of salt. I've only been to the batting cages twice in my life. This would be my second time. The place definitely had its own charm, with all the vintage memorabilia lining the walls, tattered printer paper donning Specials and handwritten rules plastered all around! Though I couldn't find the cash only sign, it's important to note that it is, cash only. The man behind the counter was also quite the character, he seemed to blend very well with the environment and fit the part well. We handed over some cash that we managed to scrape up with change and wrinkled bills, and he gave us two bats and instructions. One player in the cage at a time, and have fun! I found that the balls don't fly over the home plate painted on the ground. I felt that if I stood in the batters box, all of the pitches would have been balls. For a beginner, I found it very difficult to hit the ball, and found myself lunging forward to reach the ball with my bat! I'd say I was able to hit 20% of the pitches! Smashing stuff with a bat is a great way to let go of some aggression. If you need to smack some balls, this is a great place to check out. I came here with a friend and they were pretty nice. I was able to rent out a cage for $9.75 for 15 minutes. If you can last 30 minutes, it'll only set you back $17.75. It worked out well because I was able to rotate with my friend for that 15 minutes and we were as calm as cows afterward. We proceeded to go to 7-11 afterward for some slurpees and it was a happy day. read more

Brought the kids for a bit extra BP. It looks rundown and cluttered, like a lot of things have been collected over the years that could probably go into the trash or recycling bin. The arcade cabinets were turned off and I don't know if they even work. But I didn't come to play video games, I came to hit baseballs. And that we did, aside from a handful of misfires where the ball didn't make it to the plate because it fell short or hit the net covering the pitching machine, most of the pictures were perfectly delivered. It would've been nice if there were some type of indicator that the next pitch was coming, aside from just keeping a mental track of the machines timing. My kid had her game the next day, and smacked the heck out of the ball. I believe it was a benefit from her time at the batting cage so kudos for that. We will be back to practice there again. read more
