Keystones Lanes is a low-key, no frills bowling alley in the city of Norwalk, CA. I made reservations very quickly and easily by clicking on their link through the Yelp app for 12/30/21 which happened to be a rare rainy day in Greater Los Angeles. My kids had cabin fever and were desperate to do something active and different. One lane for three people from 3:30PM-4:50PM was $54.45. From what I remember, gratuity was added automatically. Service at the counter was extremely slow. We waited around for someone to get our shoe sizes for several minutes. They weren't even that busy at that time. We arrived about 15 minutes before our lane reservation which ended up being perfect. My kiddos ages 7 and 8 were both given 5-pound bowling balls which worked out well for them. I didn't even have to ask about the guard rail. The nice female employee added them to our lane already and it popped up when it was their turn. No issues with the lane. We didn't get harped on for not wearing our cute Christmas-designed cloth COVID-19 masks... most other patrons did not have theirs on either. (They set us up with an empty lane in between.) If you disagree with my outlook on life and the absurdity of masks particularly for young kids, then okay. There is a snack bar. For parking, there is a sign on the front door saying to go around back and park. Huge lot back there. I'd definitely go back with my kiddos as Bowlero (which has several locations near us) charges around three times as much for their way fancier lanes and atmosphere. read more

I returned the evening of Monday 3/9/2020 at 5PM for shoe reimbursement. A woman by the name of "Reiko" told me she was "another manager." I had reordered new shoes online earlier in the day and had the receipt on my phone since it was emailed to me. She asked to see it and then rudely said "When I said bring in the receipt I meant bring in the ACTUAL RECEIPT." I just stayed silent because at this point I'm over Keystone and their high and mighty mentality. DAVID stayed in their office directly in front of me without ever looking my way or coming out to give a formal apology. He stayed on his computer and phone. Reiko proceeded to toss her card my direction so I could forward the email to her. I send it, and she goes to print it. She then comes out, hands me the payment and I walk out. The staff was rude and unattentive, the alley itself was dirty and not well oiled, and even worse was the people next to us that did everything in their power to complain and make our lives miserable. Even when the lady cleans the table she's doesn't respect people's personal space with her walker. Went last night with la novia and her family. It was a lot of fun! My third time going bowling, in general, so I was proud that I wasn't too bad (I got two strikes and very few gutter balls). We did cosmic bowling and I was a little disappointed that it wasn't as dark as I had imagined. Bowling shoes are true to size, at least for me - they weren't too tight or too big either. I used to come here a lot but today i tried to reserve a lane online and, despite the funds being withdrawn from my account, my reservation failed to confirm. i called the front desk who instructed i try again, and when i did... that same thing happened. i am now out $160 until they reverse the payment in "a few business days". Update: came in person to reserve a lane only to find out they're going to charge me an extra $20 (was $78 online, but they want 98 at the door). I explained that i tried repeatedly to make a reservation and that their system is failing, and they still didn't want to honor the online price. AMAZING STAFF! my son has autism and i was really worried about taking him bowling and to top it off the rest of the family wanted to do cosmic bowling. i had mentioned to the staff that my son was on the spectrum and that he tends to run away but that i would do my best to catch him. Once we paid to bowl and walked to the alley, it was actually a relief... we got annoyed so quickly from her. The bowling experience itself was great. $2.99 per game per person on Friday morning. Although I would imagine that it would be pretty pricey to bowl at a prime time. Bowling has definitely gone up in price in the last 5-10 years. It used to be much more affordable. I do like that this place seems to be roomier around the seating (by the alley). Some other bowling alleys are so cramped where you sit. I didn't like the fact that they didn't have little screens where you type in your info (like some other bowling alleys have). I've been here three times and there's only been one each time. takes you about fifteen to twenty minutes for some personal pizzas and a drink. I'd take a pizza under a heat lamp in exchange for the wait. There's a small arcade in here if you're into them. Not a bad selection of games either. They have pinball machines, table hockey, and others. They also have a pretty good looking bar for the adults to go hang out. It looked spacious and clean. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I believe the lanes weren't taken care of as often as they should, looked dull. Bummed out because we got charged twice for the one game we played. My husband called and the ONLY person that could make changes and reverse the charge won't be in until Thursday!
