The table was dirty as I sat down, but seeing the crumbs on the table, the waiter at least came back with a dirty rag and tried to wipe it down. My food was cold and soggy and lacked flavor. When it came time for the check, I question an addition charge I noticed and the waiter said it was an upcharge for sweet potato fries, I said I was not informed that switching to sweet potato fries over the regular steak fries would result in an upcharge and requested that it be stricken from my bill. It was OK, but I would not do that to a piece of meat again. I had the grilled Caesar salad which was delightful and the baked potato which was great. Definitely a small space which gets loud and difficult to have a conversation. As such, would not recommend for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd date. Parking lot attached but somewhat tight and fills quickly. Reminds me a little of supper clubs in WI. The building is fun and pretty unique. Service is friendly and great. Experience is a solid 5. Mostly traditional cocktails done well. We had some pretty yummy martinis. Food: Old school steakhouse vibe where you get to pick a soup/salad and a side of potatoes which I loved. I got the french onion soup - yummy, and the specialty mashed potato which was a jalepeno one that day. It also came with a side of veggies. They are known for their sugar steak so we obviously had to get that on a New York Strip. Overall, it was all pretty solid - the sugar rub was a nice touch. Just sweet enough for some crystallization without being too overpowering. The steak itself just didn't blow me away. I wanted it to be a little more juicy, tender, and a bit more flavorful. Would I come back: Overall a fun experience. It's not a place I'm dying to go back to but if someone wanted to go - I wouldn't say no.

My wife and I stopped into Steuben's to have a snack (donut holes) and a couple of rounds of cocktails. We used the Dining Out Passbook for BOGO cocktails with purchase of food. Our bartender (who was perfectly friendly and helpful) said he needed his manager to get the free cocktail. To be clear, we had literally no interaction with this woman at any point. So it's not like we did something to piss her off. When she arrived at the POS station - behind the bar about six feet from where we were sitting - she proceeded to complain about the "a-holes" (edited for language) using the Passbook and what a bunch of a-holes those customers were (not knowing we were in earshot). And when the bartender - who knew who we were and that we could hear everything - said in a hushed tone "No, they were nice" she proceeded to tell him that she didn't care and that they're just a-holes. I've never been treated so shoddy in my life in a restaurant for no other reason than using a promotional discount that they voluntarily participated in. It's bad enough to attack your customers for using a discount. But doing it behind the bar where customers can hear you is beyond unacceptable. And doing it when the customers you're talking about are within earshot is the most offensive thing I've ever expereinced at a restaurant. You may go to Steuben's and have a nice meal, but just be aware that behind the bar, they're talking about what an a-hole you are.

Update: All of the previous review is true. Through the…read morewinter some A/C units still were cycling on and off. What I came to realize is that due to the design of the building, there is very poor air circulation and ventilation, so the apartments stay unnaturally warm. To get air flow I prop open my front door and open the balcony door. This allows air to pass from outside into the hallway. Its not great to have my door open! But I think it makes sense why tenants have to overuse the air conditioning so much. I had to break my lease and leave 3 months early before the summer starts because the noise is unbearable. I wear noise cancelling headphones all day. Another thing to keep in mind when looking to rent here is that the building was built modularly. There are seams in the hallway floor where the building didnt quite line up. While this isn't a big deal, what it signals is that the building is not the highest quality, although the exterior design is attractive. The walls are very thin. There is a very loud beagle in the apartment just below me. I was in the hallway 3 floors below them and unbelievably I could hear the beagle! None of this is the building management or CWS's fault. I think they want to work and run a nice apartment building. I think they genuinely want to have happy people in the building. But some things like how this building was constructed is out of their control. They only way to rectify the A/C problem is to have them on a floating platform that is connected to the building vertices by cables. This would minimize the direct vibration of the ceiling and minimize if not completely remove the noise they create. But I doubt they would be able to fund something like that. Please look at the picture I put up and if one of those is under consideration be aware of this issue.
