The place is nice enough, however parking is dismal and a bit of a trek from the conference center (other than some reserved spaces and some handicapped parking nearby, the parking lot is a couple of "blocks" away). While I would say that most of the staff at the site were very nice and helpful, the food service manager was not flexible at all and refused to deviate from the predetermined specialized seating arrangements. Distancing was not an option and particularly at meal time, distancing within a group of strangers/acquaintances should have been accommodated since you cannot eat and wear a mask at the same time. The surroundings are beautiful but the access to the venue is really not ideal at all. I would not participate in another conference at this site in the future if for no other reason than the transportation and other amenities that are extremely limited. Even the snack bar was closed during the show except for limited times. In fact, I never saw it when it was actually open! Signage is also dreadfully lacking. I am sure that conferences are not this resorts main source of income, however I am sure a little sign here or there would not be unrealistic to expect. I prefer to give positive reviews so I will end on a positive note. The area is spectacularly beautiful. So schedule a vacation, I am sure you will love it! read more

Perfectly fine conference center for the masses. Staff were unassuming and almost blended into the surroundings. Snacks, beverages, and meals were plentiful served with promptness. Plenty of notepads, pens and hard candy throughout. Checking into my condo was a breeze. Tables and floors were clean. Coffee was hot and strong. It's hard to know whether the smooth sailing of our conference was more because of the facility or the specific group who ran our conference. This is a staple conference location for my field and I don't see that changing anytime soon. read more

Attended a science conference here. Clean, tidy, and well organized. Staffs are very efficient. It's good for not a huge conference but relatively small one. The one I attended was about 200 people, and this venue was good enough spacewise. read more

Location! Location! Location! That's the huge PlUS for this place. We always go here for work conferences and LOVE staying in the lodge. If you are from out of town, ensure you rent a car. The distances can be quite a kill joy here. For a conference center this size, the internet speed needs a lot of work, so i hope they work on that. read more

Keystone Conference Center is a beautiful spot for a conference. I attended a gene editing conference here that hosted over 300 people. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The facilities were clean and comfortable. I especially liked the setup of the main room: chairs behind tables if you wanted to set down your laptop or take notes on a hard surface, just chairs behind that, and round tables in the back for people who lagged behind and needed to finish their breakfast. Speaking of food, our conference included breakfast at 7am, two coffee breaks, and "light bites" for dinner (we were on our own for lunch). The breakfast was pretty good, and included cut fresh fruit every morning (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, melons, pineapples) and assorted pastries, with either hot scrambled eggs and potatoes, or an oatmeal and yogurt/ granola bar. I really liked the whole wheat croissants. Coffee was just ok, definitely not up to par for coffee snobs or most Europeans, but standard for conferences. A non-dairy creamer would have been nice (I brought my own). The "light bites" for dinner weren't really light at all; there was more than enough food to be considered "dinner." Opinions varied on the quality of the food. I thought it was fine, while others expected better for the high price of the conference. I appreciated that there was a decent salad and an additional vegetarian entree option at every dinner, although I wish the vegetarian option was always vegan (no need to add dairy to the pasta!), and for the burgers, I think they could replace the regular Boca brand patties (the worst type of vegan patty available, in my opinion) with a better-tasting brand. As far as transportation goes, the shuttle services are exceptional. They were always on-time and friendly. I took advantage of the on-call shuttle service several times, as I was staying at the Pines condos. Overall, a superb conference experience, for which I feel grateful being able to attend. read more

We were vacationing in Keystone for my husband's conference, and I made the mistake of meeting him for coffee with his colleagues at this convention center. Two female guards told us we couldn't enter the porch area, covered by a large area with tables and chairs, for outdoor relaxation, for security reasons, and I understood and left because I respect authority. My son and I went and sat down on a bench by the traffic circle near the bus stop, and I texted my husband. The women returned and told us we should return to the village for refreshments. They kept apologizing for not allowing us closer but stated that it was private property and safety was their job. I understood again, and we moved away from standing under a shade tree, from the scorching sun. At first I thought they were being nice but then they reminded us that we were on private property, and we had to leave immediately. My husband came out and insisted we sit on the porch because we were outside, and not even near the entrance, and I waited for the staff to say something. A young man with a thick mustash, who spoke like Roger Rabbit, yes very guard-like, insisted we leave. So we did and moved to the benches by the curb with our cups of coffee. Things were ok, and we were drinking our coffee, until Godzilla approached. An older woman, black pants and white shirt, short with shortly cropped bond hair, and her face was pinched in anger, and she went into the attack mode. She was obviously in charge. She called my husband by his first name (nametag), and I thought this was highly disrespectful. She snapped out that this was not a family event center, and we needed to leave. I just saw a dad wheel his baby into this convention center, and he was not even questioned about his large innocuous diaper bag or hidden child under several heavy blankets. We were not on the grounds but near the street by the bus stop. She threatened to call my husband's CEO and complain about his behavior. My husband tried to calm her down but she kept raging in high anger. After she left, I whispered to my husband that she was really angry. She actually was far away but stopped in her tracks, turned around to face me, and shouted out at me, that she was not angry, and then went into a tirade about why she wasn't angry. We threw our coffee in the bushes, left our cups on the bench and left. Is this how you treat people? I understand the importance of security but they chased us off after suggesting we sit on a bench by the street. And then insisting we go to the village to get away. And she didn't see a car pull up with a new friend, that I just met, and wanted to introduce our husbands, since they are in the same field, both attending the same conference; him with his family as well, and we were all talking. Even this man was shocked as he heard the woman overspeaking the men while exchanging business cards, and I was introducing them, all the while his daughter and wife were standing near us, and they didn't tell them to leave. The two men spoke and ignored the dragonhead, and that might have fueled her wrath but she was ridiculously inappropriate and unprofessional, and where we come from, we ignore such dribble. I hope someone addresses this disaster. Apparently this woman is angry at my husband from a previous conference where he asked that the chef prepare him some grilled fish and fresh vegetables because we keep kosher. Now I have spoken to many head chefs at conventions before, and they have been more than happy to accommodate our needs and dietary concerns. This woman clearly is pissed off about everything. And she should respect her guests. If you're paying $500.00 for this conference, the least they could do was grill some salmon with olive oil on a parchment for my spouse. He is a director after all, and his large company supports this convention center. Boo to Keystone Convention Center!! We are not returning. Next year is the last year for this convention at this resort. Even if a third party is responsible for this badly managed security snafu, Keystone Convention Center needs to address it. A shame really because it's a very nice building, beautiful grounds, and all the staff at the hotels are kind, respectful and patient, and they all work tirelessly to please everyone. No Ma'am, you were out of line and you definately are in the wrong business. read more

Charged me $10 for each letter, package or item I received during my stay. I wasn't even told about the charges. They just billed me. Top that off, this place is in the middle of nowhere. It is freezing cold and extremely dated. Looks like they renovated it about 20 years ago. It's dirty and the staff don't speak english. I was here at the Keystone Conference Center last week for the Travel Blog Exchange Conference. What I liked? - The location is beautiful. It's not often you get to attend a conference with a beautiful view of the Rockies in the background. - The size. The TBEX conference has grown since it started a few years ago, and this venue was a perfect size. There were large rooms, like where we had the keynote speeches and networking sessions. However there were smaller rooms where sessions were held, so it didn't feel too big all the time. - The wifi worked. For hundreds of travel bloggers and others in the travel industry this is important. - The outdoor space where we had lunch was big and really nice. Note: bring sunscreen unless you like getting a burn within 10 minutes of being outside. I seriously looked like a lobster. - If you're staying at the lodges the conference centre is easy to get to. - The staff were great. Friendly, always making sure things were going smoothly, taking out dirty dishes, putting out food. Kudos to everyone working the TBEX weekend. - They had lots of water available which was great. One of the best ways to combat altitude sickness is drink lots of water. - They had a Starbuck's stand set up. Not sure if that's all the time, or if conference organizers would have to book this, but yes coffee.... so important. The cons - The location is a little far, like Jenn's review mentioned. There is a free shuttle, but it takes a while to get places. If you're not staying at the resort (I wasn't) I'd recommend renting a car - or else you're completely reliant on the shuttle. - The lunch we were served wasn't amazing. The price is good, and you get a lot of food, but nothing really stood out. There was a bit of confusion with the lunch lines on the first day of the conference, but the organizers had everything organized better on the second day. Overall this venue was really great. If you're going to Keystone and looking to organize a conference this conference center is a great choice. read more

While the venue itself is fine, if a bit oddly set up, its location within Keystone is not great. It's on the far end of the resort (south? west?), where there is little in the way of other amenities outside of those found at the Keystone Lodge across the street. So no great dining options, and god help you if you need to find a drugstore, as there's nothing within 15 miles of this place. Because of this the facility feels a bit set apart, but not in a good way. Staff and catering were fine, but the place feels a bit sterile - sort of like the rest of the resort I suppose. But I guess that just means that attendees to events like ours are more likely to focus on work rather than the distractions of skiing? read more

I'm sure that a review of a conference center will be immensely useful for you all. Having been involved in the planning and execution of this conference for 5 years now, I have to say that the Keystone Conference Center was by far the best venue we've used. The rooms were excellent sized. The staff was top notch, flexible, and very efficient. The food was all very good and whether it was a buffet or a served lunch, everyone got their food with plenty of time to eat before their next sessions. My only complaint, I prefer when the hotel is attached to the conference center so I can pop back to my room between sessions. But I would highly recommend Keystone nevertheless. read more

What a great spot to attend a conference. I recently attended a conference here with 600 people and the staff and building was able to accommodate everyone. The location is one of the best parts of this place. Just stepping out of the building you are welcomed with views of the surrounding mountains. If staying at the lodge, you are about a 5-10 minute walk to the conference center. If staying at other locations there is a shuttle available or I would recommend a rental car.There were so many activities for my family to do in the keystone resort while I attended. I can't wait to attend a conference here again. read more

This venue is always clean, organized, and filled with vibrant enthusiastic staff. The main guy (can't remember his name) is always very jovial and prompt. They have numerous ball rooms and even an ATM on site. My girlfriend and I have done the Wine in the Pines event the past two years and each time we were very impressed. They have 5 or 6 people out front to valet your car and point you in the right direction. I hope we do more events at this conference center! read more
