I waited a while to write the original review, hoping to get past the negative emotions and anger, but now I just feel obligated to share my incredibly bad experience with Table 6 productions and my daughters wedding in August 2022. As a single mom, I was paying for someone to really assist me in making this a special day. Instead I paid a lot of money for poor service and someone who actually added to our worry and problems. I do not recommend Table 6 productions for your special day - big waste of money! You have to ask yourself, how many negative reviews has this company had removed as a result of threats and bullying? I want to make certain that this review does not come off as angry or negative. This is an unbiased, fact-based play by play of all events. Jenna, our day of coordinator was extremely conscientious, observant, pleasant, and caring in all of our meetings leading up to the day of the wedding. I was so pleased we found such a wonderful person to take care of our wedding day. I am also a very type-A person and was reluctant to hand the reins to someone else but Jenna was so reassuring. She promised we wouldn't have to worry about a single detail; my family and I would be guests of honor at the event and not have to worry about a thing. At the wedding rehearsal, Jenna was again pleasant and reassuring. We went over several last minute changes and I thought Jenna was quick as a whip for being able to memorize all of those details. On the morning of the wedding, we got ready, took photos, and loaded on our party bus to get to the ceremony venue. We were greeted by the deacon and other church staff about 20 minutes before the ceremony. Around 1:25 we went in search of Jenna to find out where the flowers were (the ceremony began at 1:30) Jenna came rushing to me to ask why we didn't have the flowers. In shock, I had assumed that was a detail she had covered (per her contract). Jenna also rushed towards my very sweet, caring, calm mom asking frantically about the flowers. To be fair, the floral company did not have a clear understanding of the timeline created by Jenna (it had an error that read the flowers should be delivered by 1:002; clearly not a time). The floral company was extremely apologetic and refunded all of our cost plus some. As a bride, you hear horror stories about last minute things falling through at a wedding. That is why we paid Jenna and Table 6 for their services. Now, comes the really sad part. After pulling myself together (literally by the Grace of God) the rest of the wedding went fairly smoothly in spite of several other failed promises by Jenna. Certainly, I thought that all parties involved would recognize their error and refund appropriately. Instead, Heather (owner of Table 6 Productions) proceeded to blame the photographer, the caterer, and later me and my mother for the flower snafu. The culminating tragedy was Heather calling my mom "nasty" in her complaints. That really hurts my heart :( of course any mother would fight for an injustice against their child on their wedding day. If you do use Table 6, please keep in mind there are strings attached. You will not be a guest of honor, you will be made to double check on details and work at your event to make sure nothing goes awry. read more

Where to begin? Let's just say that without Heather's help, resources and guidance I would be literally drowning in a sea of bridesmaid dresses, catering proposals, flower arrangements, photographers and pure unadulterated insanity! I thought I could plan a wedding for 200 people all by myself, really I did, but when it slowly started to consume my life and I was in tears over silly things like wedding cakes toppers I realized that I might need a bit of help. I may be an atheist, but if there was ever a time I believed in something sent from heaven, that would be Heather. I simply tell her what I want, what price range it should be in and voila, she produces exactly what I want. And if I'm not sure what I want she is there to present me with a plethora of options. I cannot recommend Table 6 enough! They are fabulousness plain and simple and have made my life a billion times easier (I'm actually enjoying the wedding planning instead of tearing my hair out)! Although there are still times I wish I hadn't let my mom guilt-trip me out of eloping (I'm the only daughter) I will say that Heather has actual made me a fan of having a huge wedding. We hired Heather to plan and design our wedding... she also helped us with negotiating tactics (b/c we didn't know what we could or should ask for when talking with vendors) and she certainly came thru with an amazing group of vendors for us. She had a beautiful vision of our wedding (which she named "Sex and The City Goes Camping") and when it all came together it was unreal. Never once did I doubt her vision, nor did I think she was far from my own vision, I am just so ecstatic about how it all came together and how beautiful the whole weekend ended up being. We get so many compliments on our wedding now, a few months later. I really think that have a wedding planner alleviated some of the stress, I had someone else to depend on that actually knew what needed to be done and that put my mind at ease. It really helped to have someone to ask questions on etiquette, invitations, what vendors to use, etc... I would highly recommend Table 6 Productions!!!! I'd give zero if I could. The only reason they deserve the one star is that they have a good contact list. So when we had to plan our entire wedding ourselves the month before we could at least reach out to some awesome vendors. They dropped the ball every phone call and we basically had to start from square one each time. That is when they even bothered to show up. They also didn't put any details on the invitation about where the wedding was going to be so essentially they send out save the dates. Then Lori put her own address as the return address on the "invitations" so we had no idea who RSVPd and when we tried to get her to send them to us she stopped returning our calls entirely. So we made an awkward Facebook event instead that was like can you RSVP by messaging us directly but people started checking going vs not going on the event which was uncomfortable for all parties involved. Then we still had to reach out to the majority of our guests to ask whether they were coming and they were confused because they responded to the "invitation." While this was happening we got the owner Heather involved and she told my husband and I that WE needed to be responsible for all the details which is when I was like cool what am I paying you for then and asked for a refund. They eventually refunded the money but begged us to keep the poor service a secret because negative reviews ruin their livelihood. At first I did which is why this review comes a while after the fact but I was talking to my friend who had just gotten married and also had a less than stellar experience with a planner and she said I should post it to prevent other couples from going through the same issues that we did. Especially since it seems like Table6 scrubs their negative reviews since Yelp is the only place there are honest reviews. So yeah I'm not letting another couple go through the same thing. As a covid bride, I definitely felt the stress of planning x1000, but Heather helped us completely replan our wedding in just over 2 months and it was fabulous down to the last detail. If I could have gotten my money back I would have. Didn't think the whole experience was what I was looking for. There was not a lot of communication, I felt I was the one who kept reaching out. The woman who was helping us, had an assistant who was going to help us day of, it was her first wedding alone. She promised us all the details would be passed on. When it came to set up, we got the wrong porta potties delivered, that my fiancé at the time, had to take care of and send back. They delivered the wrong heaters after we specially wanted a certain style (that provided more heat) my fiancé was constantly being asked questions throughout the whole day, our wedding aisle wasn't straight, which I had made a point to address before set up. I had put a lot of time into his first look being as we opened the doors for me to walk down the aisle and he couldn't even see me. I don't know if it's because our wedding weren't as high of a budget as their other weddings but I would have liked a little more attention through the process. I loved working with Heather at Table 6! I needed the most help with vendor suggestions and she totally delivered. She works with great people and every vendor we had was great. She isn't a budget snob, either. She worked with the budget we had and didn't suggest anything she knew was out of the budget. She accompanied me to a ton of appointments and helped me make the major decisions I was unsure about. The week before the wedding was a total breeze! Her goal is to have a relaxed bride and groom and she delivered. There was nothing for me to worry about and the few small things that came up the day of the wedding were handled immediately and effectively! The worst wedding planning decision we made was to hire Mary of Table 6 Productions. Luckily, almost halfway through the planning of our wedding we parted ways with her and it's been smooth sailing since then. We e-mailed the Table 6 corporate office and got no response to our concerns. We tried to go to formal mediation with Mary--as required by her contract for any disputes. She ignored that request, leaving us no other option but to take her to small claims court. We lost the case due to the wording of the contract--which we should not have signed as is. Hopefully, our review and tips will help you avoid the same pitfalls we faced with Mary and Table 6 Productions. 1. Consider requiring changes to the contract before you sign with Table 6. You will want to pay based on performance (completion of planning tasks) vs. paying per a calendar schedule. If you pay one of your installments and either party terminates the relationship just days later, you may not get a dime of that money back---even though the planner hasn't earned it. 2. Consider a wedding planning company that has multiple planners in your geographical market. That way, if things don't work out with your planner, you can be re-assigned to someone else without forfeiting the money you've paid 3. Request that your planner shows you examples of weddings that she personally planned and are within your budget. Prior to signing a contract, we asked Mary to show us examples of weddings in our price range (which she said was typical for weddings she planned). After we were under contract, we learned that none of those examples she gave were weddings she'd personally planned. 4. Inquire about your planner's official wedding planning certifications. 5. Hire a planner who takes notes at all meetings she has on your behalf and follows through on commitments without constant reminders. 6. Hold her accountable to the tasks she commits to by the completion date she provides. This became a tireless chore for us. 7. Request that your budget is listed in your contract--that you are hiring Company X to plan your wedding and provide vendor referrals with respect to the budget they break out for you by category, based on your overall wedding budget of Y. The planner should not refer you to vendors whose starting prices exceed your budget for that category. 8. A skilled wedding planner should be able to refer you to a variety of vendors who fall within your budget. Mary often presented us with vendors outside of the budget she designed for us (bridal gown boutiques, florist, caterer and cake bakers). She directed us to one florist whose quote was 3X higher than our floral budget!!! We spent excessive amounts of time renegotiating and removing items from quotes to get them within our budget. 9. People don't typically enter into a contract expecting the relationship to sour. A planner may verbally agree to do a variety of planning-related tasks, but unless they are listed in writing in the contract or in an amendment, you cannot hold them to it. It's just your word against theirs. Hopefully, after our experience, other couples will hold Mary accountable for her performance and she will modify her style (and contract) to consistently offer a higher caliber of service that Table 6 touts and her clients deserve. read more

When my wife and I got engaged, we contemplated hiring a wedding planner. In retrospect, Heather was by far and away the best decision that we made in our entire wedding planning process. Despite what may appear to be a large upfront cost, we came out ahead in the end. From a pure financial standpoint, she saved us money on just about everything. First, she took our original idea and found a much more valuable way to to utilize our budget. Second, she managed to get prices for us that, according to numerous vendors, we would not have received without her assistance. When it was all said and done, she likely paid for herself with the pure savings that she got for us and, arguably, saved us money overall. Aside from the simple numbers, she provides an invaluable service. She made our lives so much easier by telling us exactly what we needed to do and when. For vendors, she would select the best of various categories (value, overall quality, etc) and allow us to decide. When we couldn't make a decision, she would provide consultation until we were comfortable with a decision. We went into the wedding confident that everything was under control and that we had selected the best of everything that we wanted. The final product was beyond our expectations. We had just an incredible time and Heather could not have steered us in any better direction with all of our choices. For months after the wedding, we received countless compliments about what a great wedding it was and how much fun everyone had. We even went to a few weddings where people borrowed the ideas that my wife, Heather, and I came up with. Regardless of whether you are judging her on value, how much easier she is going to make your life, or the end product, Heather is the best. I recommend her to every one of my newly-engaged friends. To even schedule a phone call to talk about what my fiancé and I were looking for in a wedding planner was hard. I had to send Lori 2 emails, 1 was a follow-up, to get her to respond back about scheduling a phone call to talk about what we wanted/ were visioning. She said my first email went into her "spam" folder. Well, she has since not replied back again after she blamed in on spam, so here I am to warn all of you. They look fantastic from the outside and I am sure a lot of brides are drawn to them especially since they had put together a D-list celebrity wedding. WOW JUST GOT ANOTHER RUDE EMAIL FROM THE OWNER HEATHER! Using Table 6 Productions for day of coordinating for my daughter's wedding was a huge waste of money not to mention they were instrumental in basically ruining my daughter's wedding ceremony. Jenna didn't check on flower delivery to the church until 5 minutes before the ceremony and alas - no flowers and of course too late to track them down. Had Jenna checked on the flowers in a timely manner, rather than a mere 5 minutes before, there would have been plenty of time to get the flowers to the church. Isn't that what you hire a day of coordinator for? My daughter was in tears at her own wedding. The florist has stepped up, apologized profusely and refunded my money. Not so with Table 6. Both Jenna and Heather have refused to take any responsibility for their mismanagement of this important aspect of my daughter's wedding day or even act like they care. Jenna's "day of timeline" was woefully incomplete and useless. She also ignored some of mine and my daughter's wishes for set up in the reception venue. To be honest, at first I questioned whether or not to hire a wedding planner at all. Looking back, I am so glad that I did!!! Before I even signed a contract or paid her, Heather was so responsive and informative. I got such a great feeling from her right away that I knew we would work great together. Looking at some of her prior weddings I knew I could trust her style and vision. Heather also completely paid for herself in terms of negotiating all of our vendors down even further. I hired Heather about a year in advance of the wedding and she was attentive and responsive to me the whole time, I never felt like I was on the back-burner to higher priority weddings. Additionally, planning a wedding in another country provides its own challenges; Heather was always able to put me at ease and stay on top of the many, many details. All of the pre-planning for a year, was nothing in comparison to how invaluable Heather was once we were finally in Mexico for the wedding week. Between set up, finalizing little details, managing the timeline, etc. I could not imagine doing any of it without her!! We also had friends and family to mentioned to us how grateful they were for Heather's guidance and direction during that time. If you are at all on the fence about hiring a planner, do yourself a favor and hire Heather. She will truly be a lifesaver while you plan your wedding.
