I am originally from South Korea and exchanged my Korean driver's license to VA one. So I didn't have driving experience in the states at all and haven't driven for more than 5 years since I got my license in Korea. I wanted to start driving here but I was so nervous and scared. I finally decided to take some driving lessons and contacted almost every single driving schools in Alexandria where I live. None of them answered their phone and replied my email except this 1 Safe Driving School. I went with 10 hours behind wheels lessons and I met my Instructor 5 times on weekend for 2 hours each. They offer pick-up and drop-off service with their practice-car and you will drive that car. I practiced with him from driving around in neighborhood area to how to take a highway including parking lesson. After I finished all the lessons, now I feel more comfortable, confident, and safe while I am driving and I am not scared anymore. So these days, I can drive by my self and I earned a freedom to go wherever I want! Little bit about the instructor whom I practiced with, he was very nice and punctual with our schedule. As I remember, he has more than 8 years experience as a driving school instructor and he knows all most every single road in this area. He can control break while you are practicing even at the passenger sit. I still remember and recall all the advice and lesson he gave me and they are very helpful. (I am still mumbling "look around...look around" when I reverse my car in a parking lot lol) I would recommend this school to my close friends or family. My time and money were worth it. City of Alexandria traffic court gave…read moreme a flyer with scant info, lacking details. 1) An online course is acceptable to the Court, provided it appears on the DMV's approved list, 2) you must submit the completion certificate to the Court, so complete the course at least one week before your deadline, to allow time for out-of-state mailing via FedEx 2-Day, and 3) because there are no proctoring centers in the City of Alexandria, you can take the EXAM online as well, and DMV's normal requirement is dropped, of showing up somewhere in person to take the exam. I wanted an ONLINE "Driver Improvement Course" (not a classroom.) The Yelp link leads to "Driver Improvement Program, Inc." registered at a house in Fairfax County, south of Alexandria. Apparently he does live classes. He is a real human, and he picks up the phone and answers questions. He appears on DMV's list. For the online course, he partners with an out-of-state provider, where I paid and actually completed the course, in about five hours. Twice, during business hours, I called the customer service number of his onilne partner, and after a minute or two on hold, Kellee answered and provided good service. The actual course proceeded smoothly. Unfortunately I procrastinated, and paid extra for FedEx (5pm), and I called and paid more over the phone for an upgrade to FedEx Priority (10:30am.) I suppose I expected sketchy and incompetent and delays, but it all went smoothly. I found this company listed locally, and the rate was only $20 different than the cheapest I had clicked on, so I didn't really shop around much.

Before my lessons with Mr. Ish, the only driving experience I had as a 36 year old was some parking lot practice, and a one hour lesson with a different school (which I didn't think was very helpful so I didn't continue). I took 5 lessons of 2 hours each (10 hours total) with him and found him to be an incredibly patient and supportive instructor. I had a lot of anxiety going into the whole process, and his calm presence always put me at ease and made me more confident. When I would make a mistake like making too wide of a turn into a streeet, he would point it out but also ask me why I did it that way. It felt like he really wanted to get to the root of the issue to help fix it. In the case of turning too wide, we realized that I was misjudging the distance of my car from the parked cars on the street. This thoughtful approach really helped diagnose and correct issues as they came up and it was so satisfying to visibly see myself improve. His approach to teaching parallel parking was super clear, and I was able to confidently parallel park during the test, and have now also done it in relatively tight spots on DC streets! He also recommended doing a last lesson right before the test in the Deanwood neighborhood (where the DMV test takes place). This was great advice, and Mr. Teddy accommodated me for a pre-test lesson on short notice. I used the school's car for the test, which was helpful since I was familiar with it. The day of the test there was a really long wait at the DMV and Mr. Teddy waited with me patiently and was also really supportive. All the communication and reminders from the school about lesson times, locations were timely and clear, Mr. Ish was always on time for picking me up, and it was just a seamless experience end to end.

She gets an avatar or character (whichever she chooses) and transcribes code which manipulates her avatar or character to carry out different task. She has a folder and project she completes each week and she truly does look forward to coding. I hope that she continues to explore the "STEM" or "STEAM" field. The children get tickets after each session they can use to reward themselves and they also get little certificates when they advance to the next level (belt color). My little one works with Sensei Salma who is super patient with the littles and very sweet. The staff at this location communicates well and are friendly. I definitely recommend this establishment if your child is a "techie".
