I had a bad experience at Anees, got ripped off and left them mid way for my child's teen driving course. Long story short, AA Plus answered their phone every time I call with questions, and their instructor was prompt, professional, and they were able to complete the course for us in a week. Anees Driving School basically could care less about your schedule, your kids welfare, or basic customer service. Very happy with our experience. During my sessions, she was very busy with other students as it seems like many were taking her clasess. Scheduling was a bit difficult but she was never late or miss the class without notice . I saw that AA Plus Driving School had great reviews from neighbors, so I decided to go with them to get her license. Their website is easy to navigate, and I quickly registered and paid for the driving class. My daughter spoke to a customer service rep who was very helpful and even told her that she needed to take a 30-hour driver education course to get her license before the two months (she is over 18). The issue was on the first day my daughter did her driving class. My daughter didn't really tell me the extent of the issues until the morning, and I decided it would be best to replace the driving instructor or get a refund. I called, and they told me to send an email, which I did. I was not rude or anything. You can be the judge: I would like to formally request a change of driving instructor for my daughter. If that is not possible, I would like a refund. My reasons are below: The driving instructor took the wheel and tried cutting three lanes over. My daughter had to slam on the brakes, or else they would have hit a car. The entire time the driving instructor was on her phone and not focusing on the lesson. This could be the reason why #1 happened. When turning into the neighborhood, you turn right unless the traffic light changes to let the people on the opposite side to turn left. However, she made my daughter stop the car completely, which makes me think she doesn't really understand the road rules. If there was a car behind them, the car would have hit them. The lesson was supposed to be for an hour, but my daughter came home after about 35-40 minutes. At this point, I would like a more experience driving instructor who will pay attention to my daughter instead of being on his/her phone the entire time. We are in a time crunch and were hoping that she would get her license before we move in mid-April. I have heard great things about your company from my neighbors, and so I would prefer to continue the driving lessons. However, if it will be with the same instructor or you can't find someone on time, I would like a refund. We still want to continue the online driving education course. Thank you so much. The owner called me. At first, it was fine. He said he could have a new driving instructor, but he continued. I knew he was ready to argue when he started with, "But I have to respectfully say." When someone says "but," you already know they are about to start. He said that the driving instructor followed the road rules (I guess he got upset that I said she didn't) and stopped at a red light. I tried to explain that it isn't a normal road into the neighborhood. He kept cutting me off, saying he has been driving in Virginia for over 30 years. I am attaching photos of the road. You tell me if you stop on this road or you keep going. He then argued that his driving instructor was not on the phone but was looking at the map. I told him that the perception is she was on her phone and that even if she was looking at the map, he should invest in car holders for the phones or if she has CarPlay or AndroidPlay, then connect to that. He rudely responded that he didn't need to take advice from me. At this point, I was done. I am too old and busy to argue with someone back and forth. I told him that all this arguing from him was pointless. He provided a solution, which was a great solution until he resorted to arguing. I told him to just refund me the money. He continued explaining himself, and I told him I was done. They refunded me the money right away, which I appreciated. He then called me back to apologize, but it was a loaded apology. I told him again that I didn't have time for this, and I will account for that in my review. He responded, "And we will respond back." As someone in a leadership position for over 15 years, I would like to tell this owner that if a client is pleasant and wants to continue working with you, then offer the solution and handle the situation internally. I took the adult waiver class with Aa driving school. The instructor, Miss Rubina was very calm and patient and she made the overall experience of learning driving very easy. She gave me very important tips when i was struggling with parking and it really helped me. She was always on time and was very honest with my progress. For e.g she told me I needed more classes which I took and it added more confidence in me as she promised. My three oldest children have all taken some portion of their driver's training with AA Plus. They offer the full in-person classes, driving instruction, Parent/Teen 90 Minute video, Behind-the-Wheel. Each of my kids took a different combination of what they had to offer. All of them had a good experience. I will say that my eldest got in a couple of accidents early on that I thought could've been avoided had she been more well-versed in traffic rules. They also seemed to cut the driving lessons a bit short, which occasionally made me feel like Ai wasn't getting my money's worth. That's why I did 4 stars instead of 5. But overall, good experience, very flexible scheduling, good pricing, and nice people, which is why we've kept going back. read more

If I could give this school zero stars, I would. I saw the great reviews and went with this school for my daughter. Talked to them and asked questions. Even explained wanting to wrap up the course during a 2 week period. But let me tell you - the experience was awful. First - they are unprofessional and not respectful of your time. The instructor was a Half hour to three hours late for EVERY SESSION WE HAD of the Behind the Wheel Course. In many cases blaming it on traffic. I have lived in the DMV for over 20 years and I know bad traffic. Unless they were coming from PA, they should not be 3 hours late. On one occasion, she showed up late from church in the evening - starting a long session close to 8pm. We always had to text or call them. Oh - and if you call, the message is another language (maybe Korean?) and you have no idea what she is saying unless you speak the language. Our instructor canceled on us 3 times. My daughter did a double session to try to make up for the cancelations and they had her out for over 5 hours. No bathroom break. She was exhausted by the end of this. It is not safe for new drivers to be doing this. When I tried to ask questions via text, I was told to "trust them." Excuse me? Trust you? You have my kid and can't even show up. Second, the instructor had an assistant - largely because she could not communicate great. (yes - a DRIVING instructor that can't communicate in English). And I was told this was the company's BEST instructor. On one trip, the assistant proceeded to preach to my daughter to "find God" and asked if she went to church. This is not what we signed up for. Luckily we finished and she got her license. But do not use this company. Again, do not use this company. Unless you enjoy having your life and plans disrupted for 7 sessions because they show up 1-2 or even 3 hours late. read more

Unfortunately they provided 10 hours on the road classes for my adult son only to discover when driving with him that my adults son didn't know that he needs to turn his head briefly to look and check when changing lanes if there is a car on his blind spot, he never been taught how to park and when he merges doesn't even look onto the incoming traffic! We used AA Plus for my 19 yr old daughter. She'd taken driver's ed in high school and had her learner's permit plus all of her hours behind the wheel. We just needed the last part that included the behind-the-wheel test. Nasim picked up my daughter every day and brought her home. On the last day she was tested and passed, so we picked up her certificate at AA Plus and then took it over to the DMV, where she was given her DL. Nasim was very professional and also very kind. During the experience, the learner was was constantly being scolded and belittled for mistakes and even when they asked questions. The instructor was face first in his phone the entire duration and made racist remarks to the learner. Professional setting that helps even the most new and nervous drivers feel comfortable driving. This is the place to get your license, even you believe you're late to the game like I am. I'm a 22 year old, recent college grad and I decided to finally get my license with AA+ Driving School. I signed up for the Adult Waiver Program, which consists of doing a quick online class and then at least week of driving. The online class is with the National Driver Training Institute, a nationally recognized driver's ed program. There are seven chapters/levels, each with a quick 50 multiple choice exam after all of them based on all aspects of driving. While I had already done driver's ed in sophomore year high school, it was much another repeat. Unfortunately, the program is very dated--much of their information is based on 1990's statistics, where in fact car technology and social behaviors change, so I found some of the information pretty much useless, but still a reminder here and there in some aspects. Of course, the only way to learn how to drive and get experience would be behind the wheel. After you complete the course, you complete seven hours of driving with your instructor. It was pretty convenient because they conform to your busy schedule, and drop/pick you up straight from your house. My instructor was Osei, a very friendly, patient, kind, and helpful man who had been teaching for 28 years at the time I was with him he said. After just a couple minutes with him, he knows your strengths and weaknesses driving, and will help you fix even the smallest errors each session. I found myself laughing and connecting with him most of days I was practicing with him and most definitely has some jokes. After the seven days, you get your blue sheet which you take to the DMV and get issued a permanent driver's license. Easy and simple as that. I was pregnant then and wanted to take a break of few months and resume the classes afterwards which I have informed her. I called her many times, messaged her but with no avail. Soooo I got a speeding ticket, I opted to take a drivers improvement class to get points. I searched all over the northern Virginia area for reasonable priced classes that would fit my schedule. This was last on my list of schools to call, I was so happy I called AA Plus. I was charged $150 for the 8 hour and 4 hour course because I got a student discount. Other places I was looking at charged way more for just the 8 hour course and it was so far from home. I was afraid that this school would be fitting of its price, but I had a wonderful teacher! Mr Aabid was helpful and made the 8 hours fly by so quickly! Seriously. I never looked at my phone once. I learned so much about him and driving. The students attending the course were super diverse and friendly. I made a lot of friends in the class, which I did not expect! More importantly, this class made me feel accepted... A lot of the people in this class had speeding tickets and the teacher was understanding. He was extremely patient. He didn't stand there and condemn us for speeding he actually talked about methods for reducing speeds and ways to prevent accidents. At the end he gave us a final exam and let's just say I'm a happy camper! **This review is only based on the TEEN BEHIND THE WHEEL program. I recommend Louiza as the instructor (she does more than just the Behind the Wheel Program). For women (or anyone really) who don't feel comfortable with male instructors for whatever reason, then Louiza is your choice. Even if you have no preference, she's still a good instructor. She's awesome and never makes things awkward at all. If you're a socially awkward person, don't worry about it. She'll make small talk and make you feel comfortable. She'll teach you things that you might not even know about driving whether it comes to techniques or rules/laws. You won't necessarily have to worry about scheduling because whenever you drive is flexible and you can choose the days and times you are available. You'll keep in contact with your instructor via cell phone and whatnot. As for getting your license, you will not get it right after you pass your license test nor will you get it the day after. It will take a couple of days until you're asked to come in to their office to pick it up. read more

My wife obtained her Virginia Learner's Permit and was driving while I was with her in the car for around 2 months, but needed more confidence to drive on her own, so I decided to check Yelp and find a good driving school for her. Yelp showed AA Plus Driving School as the top choice. I called the main number and after talking with the owner, Mr. Nasim Ijaz, I decided to enroll my wife in the Adult Waiver Program which is comprised of Classroom and Behind the Wheel Training (No DMV Road Test will be required) for $ 450. Adult Waiver Program includes 30 hours of classroom or online driver's education instructions and 7 sessions of behind the wheel training. We decided to go for the 30 hours of classroom because I thought my wife will be able to focus more in the classroom than online. I was wrong because the only day the class instructor was present in the class was the first day. The other days the class instructor was in his office and my wife a long with 1 or 2 students were watching videos and reading the class book on their own. The class was 3 hours long (from 9 am till noon). Total number of 8 classes (8 days, 3 hours per day) were needed to complete the material. The ninth day was the exam day. The material was more condensed and detailed than the material needed to get your Virginia Learner's Permit. However, since the classroom is just for videos and the students will have to read the material on their own, I would recommend the online driver's education. Regarding the 7 sessions of behind the wheel training, the driving instructor Louiza was a good coach for my wife. She was patient, but pushed her to expand her driving experience. She helped my wife gain the confidence and also explained the technical aspects of driving. Our problem was the scheduling. Louiza is so busy and you would need to accommodate her schedule more than she would need to accommodate your schedule. As for getting your license, you will not get it right after you pass your driving test nor will you get it the day after. It will take a couple of days until Louiza or the driving instructor contact you and deliver the Virginia Driver Training Completion Certificate - Adult Waiver to you. You will then need take it to DMV, have your picture taken, then you will get your driver's license in the mail. read more
