Anees provides a non-stressful and judgement free environment when students are driving. He always makes each driving session relaxed and enjoyable. He is flexible with times for picking up/dropping off and is perfect for those that might have busy schedules. I can't believe this place has 5 stars on google. Look at Yelp, I think it's a little more accurate with 3 stars which feels still generous. Signed up my kid, and had a issue with the instructor not keeping to their appointment time. Delays happen, that's not the issue, but the customer should not be the one reaching out first to wonder if they are coming or not. Called and emailed Anees and the instructor confronted my child about an email I wrote. Totally unprofessional, then I eventually talk to the office and they had nothing but excuses about why they are often late to appointments. Missing the point, thing happen with kids driving, but if you know that you have an appointment and you are far away, let them know, and most importantly don't confront minors about a complaint their parent initiated. Anyways, they refused to make things right, I asked for a new driver and they refused that option, I asked for my money back and they eventually did after talking to the owner. I went to AA Plus Driving School and they answered their calls, were very professional, the instructor was very nice, and got it done in a week. Anees didn't know whey my child will finish, because they are too busy. If you don't care how you or your kids are treated, by all means keep going to them... not me. read more

The instructors my son had were both professional and experienced. However, the schedule was awful. We often got last minute changes and/or request to come by and take my son out for a drive. It was a nightmare trying to juggle when they didn't have a set schedule or gave advanced notice. It was very a poor planning process. Took the driving course paid $350 finished the classes and passed all of them. They told me if I did not receive my license in 90 days I had to call. I called the number and they said it would come soon. It never came and they are not picking up my calls. I just turned 18 and I have to do everything again on my own and take the driving tests again, should've just waited and saved the $350. Waste of money and time. Very unprofessional. read more

I registered my daughter online and received an email that they were processing the registration and then absolutely no follow up. I called TWO weeks later to check in on the process was told that they couldn't pickup the high school closest to us but could at another one but no one bothered to convey that information or see if we could meet at a different school. When I said that the other school wasn't an issue for pickup then I was told that they would have to get back to me and that the end of July was the soonest that they would even have a slot and that they would have to get back to us. Anees is the driver and owner, so the only escalation is here on social media. His behavior has been extremely unprofessional. We paid for 10 hours of lessons for our Au pair to learn to drive. He proceeded to ask her personal questions about her dating life, if she had a boyfriend, why she wasn't married already, cancelled and moved the scheduled lesson nearly every time until I told him he owed us a free one if he cancelled again. He also read to the Au Pair the text messages I sent him regarding this DURING THE LESSON WHILE TRAPPED INTHE CAR. For a new driver, digging into their personal life and demanding your cultural standards for women on her....I literally and just shocked and appalled. He should not be in a position of power of anyone. I am sure she isn't the first and won't be the last. I do not recommend Anees to anyone. read more

Great School! As a teenager, I needed to take the behind the wheel's driving portion to obtain my license, so, based on recommendation from a close friend, I choose to go to Anees Driving School, with the instructor, Mr Khan. I sent him a quick text message to the number, and he swiftly replied and explained to me how his school work and how the behind the wheel sessions will go. The behind the wheel class is $250 and you can pay by check, cash, card, almost anything. Although this may seem pricey, it is cheaper than if you would take the class through Fairfax County Public Schools. During the classes, Mr Khan was super helpful. For example, when I, or another student driver was going to make a turn, he told us if it was okay to turn or not, and gave us tips. If he saw other people breaking the law or doing unsafe driving, he would point it out and explain to us. They also don't lie when they say there is no yelling. Mr Khan is extremely calm, even when mistakes happen. The environment was perfect for learning. Mr Khan's scheduling is also convenient! I had a job that I would often go to and he was able to pick me up either from my job or house. During the lessons he will also ask about your schedule so you can make an appointment for the next lesson. If I was busy on a day he suggested, he gave a different day instead. Overall, I would totally recommend this school to anyone who's looking to drive safely and confidently. read more

I chose Anees Driving School a bit quickly. After seeing that their site stated "no yelling" I was sold. I figured to test out their promise, and signed up that day with them. My exceptions were low. As long as the instructor wouldn't yell, I was convinced that the choice with Anees had been good. All my other friends that learned how to drive through other schools said their experiences had been terrible, ranging from yelling teachers to other stressful things. I can kind of relate with my friends. I tried signing up to a driving school about a year ago. This was my experience before I cancelled the driving school lessons with that school: The driving instructor called me 4 hours before our set lesson to ask if I was ready (thinking I was someone else); then later in the day the instructor called me half an hour later than our set lesson to ask for directions to my house. I basically said "don't bother" and wasn't interesting in signing up with another school ever again (thinking I would just wait until I was old enough to get a license without taking the school). So my exceptions were low. If the driving instructor could make it to my house without calling me, and if they wouldn't yell, I would be set for learning how to drive. I started my lessons today with Anees Driving School and my low exceptions were just blown out of the water. There was no yelling, but it was more than that. Driving with Mr. Khan is really relaxing and fun. He is always looking out for you and making sure that you feel comfortable with all the directions and turns he gives you. Mr. Khan truly feels like a big brother or older friend that is teaching you how to drive rather than some random "driving instructor." On my first lesson Mr. Khan let me drive to a friend's house! Not to mention that a friend from school was also taking his class, and he was in the backseat. Imagine how comfortable that learning environment is: a friendly peer, and a friendly teacher. It really works out great. I will update my review once I complete all my lessons, but I have a feeling I will be more and more impressed as time goes on. I don't know if Mr. Khan has had previous teaching experience, or some people-related job, but he is really good at making sure that you're never worried or stressed about driving. So yes, there is no yelling involved. But it's much more than that. This might be the best driving school around, and I'm just lucky to have found it. read more

My daughter attended Anees Driving School and had a fantastic experience. She attended "Behind the Wheel" to get her license. Her instructor was Anees Rehman. Every interaction I had with Mr. Rehman was pleasant. He is a very nice guy. My daughter said she enjoyed the driving time with him and learned a lot. The "no yelling" policy is very effective. Even when I made mistakes, Anees would calmly and humorously explain why what I was doing was wrong and help me fix it. The instructor will help you learn comfortably no matter how much experience you have. Anees is very friendly as well: he's a funny guy, and he'll occasionally crack lighthearted jokes about your driving, but he's ultimately looking out for you. I would recommend this behind the wheel class very highly. A general note- he usually comes 20-30 mins earlier than the scheduled times for each class. read more

Anees Driving School is overhyped and overpriced. My instructor named Mr. Khan is an annoying instructor. He constantly stops you in the middle of the road for little mistakes that he could pull you to the side for or tell you after your session is done. His accent and quiet voice are very irritating when he is giving directions because I often don't hear him correctly and then he gets an attitude with me for the rest of the session. The interaction that really pissed me off is when he insulted my parent's ability to teach me how to drive due to my inexperience with the car that they had for me to drive that is completely different from my own. If you are looking for a driving school, do not pick this one. read more

These guys are total hacks and that's putting it lightly. After my son completed their course, they failed to send the required documentation to the DMV in order for the DMV to issue my son his permanent license. After waiting for months I finally took matters into my own hands and got things corrected with the DMV. In the meantime my son's temporary license expired and they wanted me to drive all the way to Chantilly with my son to meet the instructor to get a new one or they said I had to go to the DMV. Why should I be the one having to drive to meet them? They should be going out of their way to correct the situation and meet me where I work. Do yourself a favor and use a reputable school. Following up on my review. Instead of contacting me about my review they sent the review to my 17 year old son complaining about my review. What kind of company does that? Who puts a minor in the middle of a dispute. Unfortunately I had to give them 1 star. They aren't even deserving of that. read more

Trying to schedule a driving session with them is a disaster, with no apparent interest in obtaining new customers. Called twice in a span of a couple of weeks...first time was told that one instructor is fully booked indefinitely in the future, another instructor is "out of town", and therefore told to call back in a couple of weeks. When I called back the second time, I was told the same story, and then essentially told to go elsewhere...this certainly doesn't show much interest in getting new business. Perhaps the instructors are good, but scheduling and interest in getting new clients is disappointing. read more

Mr. Khan was a friendly and comforting presence in the car at all times. Although he provided detailed navigation, he never gave any real advice, instruction, or feedback, aside from when he pulled us over for five minutes to walk us through the steps of parallel parking. Once, when it was pouring rain, he had us drive through a stretch of road that was completely obscured by 6-12 inches of fast-moving, muddy water (not the call I would have made) He never collected our 45-hour driving logs, which I thought was a requirement in order for us to get our licenses (?) He also spent most of the time in the car texting, eating, or talking loudly on the phone, and he played the radio the whole time, which was kind of distracting. The only other issue was that it was very difficult to schedule appointments, and we had a lot of miscommunication in terms of times and dates. He gave a range of an hour in which he would arrive (i.e. the he would pick me up between 1 and 2 and drop me off between 3 and 4), but was still early or late for that window for about half of our lessons. I appreciated the gift card and the drink from Dunkin Donuts. If you're like me- you've spent time on the road and feel comfortable driving without someone walking you through it the whole time, and are just doing the course to check the box and get your license, then your experience will probably be just fine. I don't think I would specifically recommend Anee's to anyone, but I would discourage people who are nervous about their driving abilities from using their service read more

I went to Anee's school as an adult who wanted to learn to drive. And I left the school as an adult who wanted to learn to drive. The first day we me he expected me to already know how to drive, which is ridiculous because obviously thats why Im there in the first place. Yes, Anee is 'nice', but he talks in a passive aggressive way which does not help. He sits on his phone texting a lot time to his other students and talks on the phone as well which I found disrespectful because for $350 for 10 hours can you please not talk or text other customers while teaching me? Also scheduling is impossible unless you dont work or go to school because its hard to schedule. His mornings and evening times are always full unless someone cancels. I didnt work at the time so I could go during afternoon hours which was hard as well. I would not recommend this school to a person who is learning to drive. I would to a person who already knows how to drive and wants a companion to ride along with them until they are comfortable to take the test. But for someone who has never operated a vehicle before, please save your hard earned money for someone else. He does teach but he expects you to learn his lessons immediately which is unrealistic for someone like me as I have never even tried to drive a car before. And the funny thing is he offered me lessons for the same rate to study for the DMV driving test. No thanks, Im going to pass on that. read more
