don't go here, instructor (Gregory DeLoach) was unprofessional and rude, he made my daughter cry, told her "its not his job to teach her how to drive or park" I thought this was driving school for a reason. Instructor was on the phone the whole time, told her about what exits to take too late and almost made her cause several accidents, told her that she was slow several times. took months (2-3) to schedule an appointment. when she arrived to the appointment she was told to wait in the waiting room, she waited until 20 minutes after her appointment time, when the instructor came to get her he had an attitude and snapped at her that "he was waiting downstairs for 20 minutes". At the end of the drive she tried to go back upstairs to wait for me and she said that he yelled at her "where do you think you're going" and she had to basically ask his permission to start walking. read more

I am writing this review to let people know that if you want your new driver with no experience to be taught how to drive by their instructors you have picked the wrong school. The parents will have to teach their kids how to drive with a minimum of 20 hours prior to you scheduling an appointment with the Instructor. They are conducting mini exams on their driving performance. This is a waste of money for them not teach them how to drive. This is defeating the purpose of having an Instructor to teach you how to drive. read more

Thank you to the staff, and instructors at Beltway Driving School. They made practicing something that can be an extremely fearful thing at ease. I'll be using them for my other new drivers read more

Mr. Edward Bentley was a very outstanding teacher and helped us learn the rules of the road in an interactive and fun way. He gave us amazing tips on driving. Very nice class! read more

Mr. Holt is the goat showed me the ins and outs of driving all while making it in a comprehensive manner, id recomend this school to anyone looking to obtain their license! read more

We've been calling and leaving messages for weeks. We have been trying for weeks to schedule my son's last driving lessons so that he can take his road test with the MVA. They claim that you can schedule online but thats not true because we tried and nothing. I even went to the office to no avail. I cannot in good conscience refer this business to anyone except to tell them to try a different business until these folks gets their act together. PICK UP THE PHONE PEOPLE! P.S. Don't blame your poor customer service on COVID because that's would not be true. read more

I'm only giving a star because I could not send this review without one. Horrible place do not attend this school. My daughter had her class in March , she had to wait 5 weeks to get her first driving session, we were only allowed to make one at a time ,the second session was 5 weeks from the first and I'm sure the 3rd will be the same. This is ridiculous, no respect or regard for peoples time ... at this rate it will take 6 months... This is a horrible place read more

It took me SEVEN business days to get someone to answer. READ THE TERMS CAREFULLY... Students can't even sign up for the driving portion until one month after the course is completed. When I called to find out the details because I thought my teenager was mistaken, I was told it was first-come-first serve and we'd have to wait until the classes behind us were done. So we can call on 11/22 and it's possible she'll get her first lesson 12/22 but likely later because they expect a back-up from the holidays. This is a joke. There are several other schools offering online to choose from- this is a terrible choice. This whole process will likely be four months for a two-week course. read more

At first things were bad but then we connected and Beltway Driving Academy came through for me. They took my daughter to her test and my daughter is driving and being successful!!! I am so glad that BELTWAY DRIVING ACADEMY taught my baby girl!!! Thank you Beltway Driving Academy!!! read more

Do not use this driving "school". The entire company is a joke. All of the instructors are unprofessional. They are unresponsive to requests. Their website is trash. When attempting to set up driving practice the website fails and they never answer the phone or call back after repeatedly leaving messages. If you finally reach someone they are rude and say that scheduling these appointments is not their responsibility but yours. They, of course, offer no explanation to the lack of return contact by email or voicemail. They know their site is malfunctioning but continue to blame you. Then the "teachers" will fail to offer any actual instruction. In car or in class. Do not waste your time or money. You will regret using them. read more

I wish I can give this place a higher rating.. I have nothing but high praises for this driving academy, located in Bowie. The whole process went very smoothly from registration to class time to drive times..what I did want to highlight the most was about the owner, Mr. Ed. He is just phenomenal!! We haven't met a hard-working, a sincere, and a humble man like him in a long time. He was very patient with my daughter during the drive times, and he would always encourage and pushed her to do the very best she can! And bc of that, she was able to succeed. A million thanks to him! God bless him always! read more

My daughter completed classes with Beltway Driving. She found the classes informative and interactive. The instructor's were both approachable and supportive. Road lessons were scheduled the week following the in-class training. The feedback and instruction gave my daughter the confidence and skillsets needed to pass the MVA driver's test the 1st time. The staff at MVA actually said, she did exceptional. We're happy we selected BELTWAY DRIVING ACADEMY read more

I have four children. Two of them went to A list and one has gone to beltway. I do no recommend them at all. The receptionist, the instructors and anyone we have spoken to on the phone have been misinformed, thus misinforming us. They are closed on the weekends and when my son had to reschedule and called as soon as they were open on Monday morning, to cancel , no one returned a call or even cared enough to acknowledge the call. Once he called to reschedule they told him he was supposed to cancel 48 hrs prior..... when they were closed and said he has to pay $50 for a reschedule fee. No one at A LIST ever demanded that from my other two. My son had to work and $50 is about what he made for the day so now they want $50 before they will allow him to schedule his other drive times. There is so much more I could say but all I will end this with is.... go to A LIST instead. read more

I was going to school while attending this school and they helped me and made arrangements for me to take the classes when I could. They also helped me with my driving skills and helped me improve to become a better driver which led me to get my license. Great school with beyond excellent service. read more

Just finished my drive time with an instructor and I highly recommend this academy to anyone whether you've been driving for quite a while or just started. I would like to give a huge thanks to my instructor Mr. Jose Vega. He was incredibly patient and very informative. I'm normally a very anxious person when it comes to driving but Mr.Vega made everything very simple and straightforward and created the perfect learning environment. I've learned so much in a short period of time which lets me know that these instructors are very knowledgeable and considerate. This driving academy will not disappoint! read more

Three weeks after my child completed the classroom instructions with Beltway, he has finally been able to schedule the behind the wheel instruction of the course. The only available dates are in November! Clearly, if this school realized they were behind in getting the previous classes their behind the wheel instructions completed, they should not have scheduled any more students and subject them to this kind of delay. This is totally unacceptable. read more

I would like for anyone who is seriously considering selecting a driving school take the time to give Beltway Driving School a chance. This company is phenomenal! The instructors are highly dedicated to teaching driving instruction and safety. I have experienced topnotch customer service and all of my needs have been addressed in a timely manner. I have worked with another driving school in the past and Beltway Driving School's commitment and dedication to their students is exemplary and that's hard to find. read more

My daughter completed the class instruction this summer and Beltway Driving Academy was able to accommodate her with the driving instruction right away. Their instruction was very safe, detailed and professional. This is a family owned business and I am glad I went to them first. 2 weeks later my daughter took her driving test and passed "first time go!" she drives her self to school and back everyday safely...I highly recommend this school. read more

I would reccomend this driving academy to anyone! The facilities are clean and organized, beverages are offered and its a very relaxed learning environment. Mr. Jones and Ms. Lita are the best, they're both really funny instructors that give constructive criticism without making you feel unintelligent . It turns out that me and another guy in my class scheduled our driving test on the same day around the same time and on the day of the test, both of us were the only ones that passed our test out of the other teenagers on the course (you can watch other drivers while waiting in line for your turn). My twin sister also went here and she passed her test the first time, too. You won't regret learning at Beltway! read more

I do not recommend this school. The school doesn't teach the students the fundamentals of driving. The want the students to get 20 hours of driving before they schedule an appointment with a driving instructor. After that, they spend their 6 hours conducting mini exams on driving performance. It seems unreasonable to have the nerve to conduct examinations on what you haven't taught. My daughter had a poor experience with her initial driver's "training" from them, and did not want to return. I ended up doing all of her initial and follow-on driver's training. That defeats the purpose of having a professional instructor in the first place. They are missing the initial part of training new drivers, leaving them to their own devices, and they do not provide value added at the end of training to certify driver readiness after 60 hours needed for licensing (also the responsibility of individual drivers). Save your money, and take your new drivers to a school that actually gives new drivers the training they need, not one that acts as a critic after the new drivers go learn the skills they need from somewhere/someone else. read more

I attended this driving school in the summer of 2013. I looked around for driving schools and I think this is the only one I felt really welcomed and wanted to. They are willing and wanting to help us be safe drivers and learn the rules of the road. It is a family feel and I enjoyed every day of my two weeks there. I would defiantly recommend anyone to go there. read more
