Terrible. I filled out the contact form through the website and was contacted by Chris Ward to discuss the vehicle I was interested in. He stated he won't provide me with any information or help unless I physically visit the location. I told him I don't have time to visit and I'd like to discuss numbers through email/phone before I go in as it's a bit of a drive from me and there's no sense in visiting if I can't get the car within budget, and I'd like at least a general idea based on the terms I've stated. He wrote back saying "well I guess we'll never find out". I guess we won't. After this childish interaction, I contacted the manager Ramin and am still awaiting a response. Sadly had a bad experience here today, my family and friends has purchased multiple cars through multiple Keyes locations and our experience always tends to be pleasant, not sure if it's just a bad day for the sales rep or he wasn't taking us seriously. He was questioning our knowledge on Lexus, even though we own a couple. He told us certain cars weren't available then tells us they are if we pay a mark up. CROOKS ALERT: Do not buy a use (or new) car from these crooks from Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys!!!! They sell "Branded" or "Salvaged" vehicle but will not disclose it!!! They will lie about doing 160 point inspections on the car just to get you to feel at ease but don't fall for that. take it you your own mechanic, do not trust these crooks!!! They hide defects and won't honor warranty when defects are found!!! Their warranty is worth less than used toilet paper. Beware: the sneaky lady in finance department will try to sneak in the lojack/security system charge for $2000 extra in the loan when you go upstairs to sign your loan document (even if you say you don't want it, she'll try to sneak it in...review your contract carefully!!!!) Even the owner Ramin has NO problem lying to your face by saying that the defect found from an inspection done by a reputable independent mechanic is not a defect. Some how he is an expert mechanic without viewing the car. I normally don't bother posting anything but this time i had to let people know how crooked these people are. About 1/2 of the reviews from this place is 1 star or less so that should tell you something (excellent chance of getting screwed by them). So I was looking for a GX 470 and started my search for a couple of specific spec vehicles. After a few days of looking I found that one of the spec'd cars I wanted was at Keyes Lexus so I contacted them. As usual when you are looking to buy you get contacted right away with lots of follow up. I negotiated the deal, got details on financing, and to be sure I had checked everything I asked for a the window sticker. Ash (the sales rep) promptly sent it over to me and I thinking I had covered everything I told him to send me the digital contract to sign. The paperwork came over after 7 and by 8pm I started completing it only to find out that without disclosing to me they added a $1295 charge for "Perma Plate". For those of you who dont know if this is non sense scam item dealerships or in this case "stealerships" love to add to cars since they make a huge mark up on it. I promptly messaged Ash and asked him what the heck that was only to get a run from him. Everything from "it doesn't affect the numbers" which is flat out stupidity if you believe that. I asked him how can something which is a part of the selling price and is not affecting the cap cost by nearly 1300 not affecting the price and monthly payment? When that line of dealership BS didn't work the messaged turned into please just sign it so you dont lose the Lexus incentives (it was end of Jan and there was a $2500 Lexus incentive). I asked him why would something not agreed upon be snuck in at the last moment. His messages now turned to "please dont be made, every dealer does it". Basically, they got caught, flat out just kept lying about everything they could until they settled on "Everyone does it". It was not problem that they agreed to sell the car for a price that made them feel they needed to use to unscrupulous business practices. He then said please sign and I will find a way to make it right. I signed (I shouldn't have, my mistake) and then awoke the next day to a message that I needed to come in because even though the system told me all items were signed some items didn't get signed. I went to the dealership and finishing signing what was needed and asked when could we refund the Perma plate (fyi the Lexus incentives were still in place as it turns out so they didn't go away)? I kept getting the run around and ultimately had to leave. Over the next 8 weeks after getting one run around punt to another between Ash and Jeff (Neither really apologizing for the shady practice) and after giving them numerous chances to make the situation right I gave up. I informed them I would write a review, contact the BBB and also the consumer affairs bureau of California as I'm sure I am not the first person to get hoodwinked by they dishonest and stereotypically "Car dealer guys". To anyone thinking of buying a car from these guys.... do yourself a favor AND DONT! There are plenty of other great Lexus dealerships in the Valley and I should have stuck with my home dealership of Woodland Hills where I bought my 4 previous cars with non of these problems. If you are going to do any business with these people (I strongly advise against it) make sure you check every line of you contract for the right rate, price, terms and for ANYTHING SNUCK IN AT THE LAST MINUTE YOU DID NOT ASK FOR! I can't warn you enough and if you fall for it now its not you weren't warned. You dont garbage like $700 nitrogen air (thats a scam you get get it for $40 where you buy your tires), and you dont need crap like Perma Plate, After everything I went through and all the dodging, handing off, not replying for 3-5 days at a time would you believe I never got a single call from the GM?! If you really thought it was honest (I highly doubt that) mistake and were trying to deal with a client would you go through all of that over an 8 week period and not have your GM call to at least talk to the customer? Obviously it's rhetorically, OF COURSE YOU WOULD! Or at least any business would that cares even in the slightest in actually providing customer service. You are a $ sign and a deal to these people nothing more. By the way, I have all the emails, messages and the like so if you think "Man, this guys exaggerates!" know that I have all of this in writing and it will be a part of my written compliant to the state. Fair warning: This review will be long. Oh Lexus - where do I start?? I really thought I was a Lexus girl for life. I have had 6 Lexus' since 2009 - 5 IS and 1 RC - 5 of which had been from Keyes Lexus. Loved them all! But at the current time in my life, an SUV is just more practical for me and my family. Side note: I 110% understand the current market and shortage situation. I work in the automotive industry, so I really get this. Now also note, Keyes Lexus is no longer the same Keyes Lexus from 1.5 years ago. They are now owned by Lithia Motors. I called Toyota Financial myself and got my payoff. I did a "rough" and honest appraisal on Carmax. Carmax was offering me about $2,3k equity. Perfect! My car was only a year old and had a little over 5k miles on it. Myself and a family member leased 2 IS last year, 1 day apart. The experience at the time was great, no complaints. I reached out to the same salesman (and GSM) about seeing what could be done to get in to an NX. I never heard back from the GSM after a call, left a message and I sent a text. I did hear back from the salesman and I gave a very honest rundown about my credit and current situation. The sales guy went to work but did explain to me I'd have to go for a base model. I understood and said okay. Where I was not going to budge, was paying $50+ more a month for a base model, when I had a pretty nice IS already. I was content if I had to stay in it. A few days later, I followed up. Did we get approved yes? BUT the payment was $650+ a month. NOPE. Not doing it. They would not tell me the equity they were giving me for my car nor the sticker price of a base model. Their own website says they'll even pay $750 more than Carmax or Carvana. But they wouldn't tell me how much they were giving me. This should have put me around $3k equity. I also knew they had 50+ NX's. I THOUGHT they'd still want to make a sale (well lease). But no. It's ALL about money to them right now and how much MORE they can make off of the sale. That's it. Not that you're a loyal Lexus customer or even they're own loyal customer. And now the reason for my rating. As a courtesy, I text the salesman that I was going to another dealership (and make altogether) to look at their SUV. He flat out told me that their SUV would be more, that we probably wouldn't get approved and that it just wasn't possible but good luck. 2 days ago, I welcomed my new SUV home. Other than Nav (but has Android Auto), it's fully loaded. Heated / Ventilated seats, seat memory, power tailgate, rear heated seats, rear charging ports, 3 yrs remote app start, heated steering, AWD, leather, moonroof, heads up display, etc. And guess what?! $3 a month cheaper than my IS payment!! My insurance is even $300 a year cheaper! I text the sales guy to let him know but I didn't hear back. (insert shrug here) Not only did Keyes Lexus lose a loyal customer... Pretty sure Lexus in general lost a customer. read more

My family and I originally went to the Toyota dealership next door, where we received such terrible service that we walked over to Lexus. In comparison, the service provided by Arman at Lexus was night and day! We didn't think there would be a new Lexus that fit our budget, but Arman did not allow us to leave discouraged and he truly worked with us to figure something out. Arman is the most knowledgeable sales associate we have ever worked with. He was able to explain complicated details in a way that made sense to everyone. He repeatedly took initiative and presented us with multiple options that may fit our criteria. He offered us an amazing deal and explained different payment options for different packages. Sold me a brand new 2021 GX 460 for $60K with no plates or trip permit. They also didn't include the MSO, odometer certificate, or Vin inspection report so I am unable to register this vehicle. I've been calling for three days and getting the runaround from their staff, Including the general manager, Ramin Hakakian, who you'll notice has not commented on this review, offered any solutions or even an apology. I truly believe new management is in order. I suggest you buy your beautiful Lexus from any other dealership and save yourself the trouble. This place is super scummy. Update: 7/8/21. We were told that the dealership would give us $1000 to remove this Yelp review (imagine how many negative reviews they must have ACTUALLY received), but we still don't have any paperwork associated with this vehicle. Came few months ago looking for a used car. They were charging new car prices which I get because of the car bubble. On top of that they'll will try to charge ridiculous fees for tire nitro, and an alarm system when presented With the pencil. Our sales guy was slimey and rude. You can tell his face turned phyco when asked critical question. I walked away and found a better dealer over at Westlake village. Remember, always ask for the out the door price, do t worry about the monthly. Ask the Finance person to show you the approval interest rate they received from the bank. If they say no, walk away because dealers are allowed to add on additional interest. And ask for the extract total price of the extended warranty or walk away. read more

As others have said, make sure you read over everything carefully. I got ripped off in my terms of lease on two counts. I had agreed to 1000 miles a month/36 months... they wrote up 39 month lease and max mileage of 32,500. That's 833 miles per month! They kept me distracted in the financial office while signing, by claiming my credit wasn't good enough and there was a major chance after signing I'd have to return the car. Super insulting and made me feel like a piece of dirt... To top all that off my identity was stolen (SS number) a week after my sign date and I had a major hassle trying to recover my finances.. I don't believe it's a coincidence AT ALL... my husband and I went in a few weeks ago to look at other lease/purchase options since I have a history now with Lexus and the sales manager was a total creep and my husband felt so uncomfortable cause he was looking me up and down. I hated my experience at this dealership so much I got my car serviced at the Lexus dealership in Glendale and was treated so well and respectfully there... needless to say I'm turning in my Lexus and not coming back! These a-holes agreed to replace my master key & remote for my '05 GS330 as long as I brought in the reg and pink showing I'm the owner, (the ex stole the car and all keys, except emergency one, then let car receive 15 tickets and a tow...LAPD refused to write a stolen car report and has refused for 2 years). Once towed, it wouldn't start so I called up the nitwits at Keys and NOW there has to be a CURRENT reg...which I don't have bec of the 15+ tix she's received, so Keys now refuses to work on the car as well as refusing to cut a new key...at $360/ea. These people are scammers to the extreme. They've lost my business and this is my 3rd car from them...and I've purchased at least 5 others from the various Keys lots. I'll never go there again. This is a review/complaint about the finance department at Keyes. I recommend everyone considering buying a car from Keyes take a very close look at the contract and the maintenance plan to not get ripped off. I bought a used ES350(30023 miles) at Keyes in Jan 2019, together with the a prepaid maintenance plan which cost $595. The finance manager told I can get free maintenance service at any Lexus dealership every 6 month/5k miles. I moved to San Diego later, and brought my car to the local dealership(btw the staff there are much more honest), and guess what, the plan I got was a "Toyota auto care" program, and all it does is to get $25 off for each maintenance check. The service consultant there told me I'm the 3rd customer he has met in half an year who had been scammed at Keyes. To make things worse, the consultant also told me that the car was not serviced at 30K miles before sold to me, so I have to pay for an extra $600 for the 30K service (no wonder the key's battery ran out 3 months after I bought the car) I called the service/financial department and tried to confirm the service history with them, one of the service managers blatantly lied to my face by stating they did the maintenance at 30K, while other honest people at the service department told me that all they did was a safety inspection as required by law (changed engine oil, break inspection etc.). One lady helped me to cancel the "Toyota auto care" program, and hopefully I can get some money back in a month - the car have not been serviced for even once! P.S. also pay close attention to the contract. I found a pretty good deal online, but the financial manager who sold me the car added items like surface protection in my contract, which cost about $1500 extra. Guess what it does for you? The thieves won't be able to resell the components if they dissemble your car! And you have to take that as it was already part of the car (even if it says optional in the contract). I think some employers here are simply dishonest and try to rip you off, especially if you are unfamiliar with cars. I tried to be as objective as possible in my review, and I paid a lot for my lesson. I hope potential customers could also learn from it. read more

I stopped here to shop for my next Lexus, but have to say that the negative experience has almost soured me on considering a Lexus in the future. I felt that the salesman was not listening to what I was asking for and instead chose to march us around the lot looking for stock, only to find that he was missing the keys or it lacked the requested packages. Finally, when we ran out of time, I returned to see that my Lexus's windshield was broken! The Manager's response: "We would be happy to deal with it if you buy a car from us." There are many other Lexus dealerships in SoCal who value the customer experience and relationship enough to listen to their customers and accept accountability for incidents like this. Just wanted to give an update. - not one faculty member who was not involved in the original buying experience has reached out to me in an attempt to redeem this business... I had only received a follow up from one associate who only cared I mentioned his name in my yelp post and he asked me to take it down.... I purchased my car months ago. Lexus being a luxury car, I expected a luxury experience and I felt like afterwards I just made a deal for a Kia. I am still so disappointed that I went with Van Nuys Keyes, I wish I would have found a better dealer before spending $55,000 on a car. After I wrote my very honest first post, I received a text from one of the listed persons in the review, asking me to take down the post and bribing me with a trash selection of gifts, that they had already said came with the car when purchasing. After a month of being ignored by Keyes after they scratched and dented my car when I took it to them for maintenance, I finally got a call back after the Lexus corporate office contacted them on my behalf. They kept my car for THREE WEEKS to fix brakes and body work from the damage. When I picked up my car, it was completely DIRTY. They didn't even offer to clean it for me. Considering I had just had my car cleaned the day before bringing it to them, I was pretty upset to have to spend money to clean it again right after picking it up. (Images included in this review) This dealership is a complete fraud. Very unprofessional people working there and doing the very minimal for customers. DO NOT PURCHASE HERE. UPDATE: Here we are just 13 days from the previous review and less than 30 days since I've purchased my vehicle and I have already spent the last 2 Saturday's in their service department having them fix issues that should had been fixed before they sold the car. I took my vehicle today because the front breaks were squealing and the guy told me that's "normal"... since when did squealing breaks become normal??? Do not trust any representation made by a sales person or sales manager here. Found pre-owned car online. Went to Keyes LEXUS Van Nuys dealership and drove it. We liked it but could not agree on a price. Had significant and lengthy discussion with sales person and sales manager regarding whether car was LEXUS Certified. The sticker placed on the car by Lexus indicated car was a certified pre-owned. We left and before we were 5 minutes away from dealer, they called us and offered us the car for $41,500 with certification. It was still too high so we declined. Today, the day Hurricane Hilary arrived in So Cal, a different sales person texted and said business is very slow due to the heavy rain, if we come in they will sell the car for $40,000 "out the door" and they want to make a deal and earn our business. After the price again, we drove in the pouring rain happy to have been offered the price we felt was appropriate for that car. BUT after arriving and driving the car again and making the decision to purchase it, suddenly the deal they had offered via text was withdrawn. The sales person relayed the car was not certified (despite the sticker on the car!) and if we wanted Keyes to certify it, the best offer they could make was $43,500. So TWO THOUSAND dollars more than they had offered us just four days before. We would not trust anyone associated with this dealership. It was sleazy to say the least to lure us to the dealership and dramatically change the agreed upon terms! read more

Rip Off. I went there one year ago to get an oil change on my 2019 Lexus NX300. They charged me for all kinds of extras that my car did not need. Total of $2300. Today I went to see why my engine is making a strange noise, they wanted to charge me $560 just for diagnostic. I walked out and drove to Beverly Hills Lexus. Not only was $230 but also gave me a brand new loaner to drive. Stay away from Van Nuys Lexus. read more

Since the beginning of driving I've always been against going to any dealer for a car purchase, but for the sake of the "good deal" they had on my 4Runner, I took a chance. The car hasn't been all bad. I understand it's used, and it has its flaws. But, the mechanical stuff they have claimed to do has been nothing but lies. Starting with the car's catalytic converters failing because they weren't welded on properly. I had to drive the car all the way back two days later from San Diego to LA to get them redone. Or so I thought. Once again installation error and had to spend money to get them redone properly when I got back to San Diego. They only welded the bottom to secure them to the exhaust, but not the top to seal the piping. Not to mention I was promised a free fill up for inconvenience of missing work and when I asked about it, I was given attitude. "I don't know anything about that." I got them to fill it and I was on my way. Shocks were blown on all 4 corners replaced them and I had even noted that to them when I got it. Time has passed now and yesterday I got the brakes done, something I had also mention was off when I got the car. Replaced them yesterday and what I found was that whomever was assigned to replace them properly, funny enough they work right next to Toyota and are associated, didn't put the shims back in so my "new" pads and resurfaced rotors had uneven wear all over. As mentioned I understand the hassle of buying a used car, but honesty and being taken care of as a customer was thrown out the window. There are some nice people I've met when I was there, but it doesn't make up for any of the fixes that I've had to do. read more
