As others have said, make sure you read over everything carefully. I got ripped off in my terms of lease on two counts. I had agreed to 1000 miles a month/36 months... they wrote up 39 month lease and max mileage of 32,500. That's 833 miles per month! They kept me distracted in the financial office while signing, by claiming my credit wasn't good enough and there was a major chance after signing I'd have to return the car. Super insulting and made me feel like a piece of dirt... To top all that off my identity was stolen (SS number) a week after my sign date and I had a major hassle trying to recover my finances.. I don't believe it's a coincidence AT ALL... my husband and I went in a few weeks ago to look at other lease/purchase options since I have a history now with Lexus and the sales manager was a total creep and my husband felt so uncomfortable cause he was looking me up and down. I hated my experience at this dealership so much I got my car serviced at the Lexus dealership in Glendale and was treated so well and respectfully there... needless to say I'm turning in my Lexus and not coming back! These a-holes agreed to replace my master key & remote for my '05 GS330 as long as I brought in the reg and pink showing I'm the owner, (the ex stole the car and all keys, except emergency one, then let car receive 15 tickets and a tow...LAPD refused to write a stolen car report and has refused for 2 years). Once towed, it wouldn't start so I called up the nitwits at Keys and NOW there has to be a CURRENT reg...which I don't have bec of the 15+ tix she's received, so Keys now refuses to work on the car as well as refusing to cut a new key...at $360/ea. Had problems with back hatch on my NX. Was looked at and fixed without a problem. Service was courteous and friendly.

I had purchased a used vehicle here in August, the car had numerous issues they did not share such as the speedometer being off by 5mph, vehicle shaking on the freeway, and containing a half mounted 500 CCA "battery express" battery while the car required a minimum of 680 CCA. The car died on me while driving on the freeway, almost resulting into more than one accident putting myself and others at risk. I called the dealership explaining the battery issue and requesting a refund having to buy the PROPER battery for the vehicle. I did not once mention anything about the other issues. They refused and were extremely disrespectful to me over the phone as if they had no care about the situation. I live 200+ miles away from the dealership and there was no way to drive back for a battery replacement. I never received any follow up and they simply don't care. I was a respectful customer but all they clearly care about is taking your money and cutting you off. Simon sold me the vehicle, I thought he was great at first but clearly is and was not there to help me. I value good business and this place is the last place I'd ever go to purchase a vehicle. They are not professionals nor do they care for their customers. Bad business will only harm the business in the long term. Sadly had a bad experience here today, my family and friends has purchased multiple cars through multiple Keyes locations and our experience always tends to be pleasant, not sure if it's just a bad day for the sales rep or he wasn't taking us seriously. He was questioning our knowledge on Lexus, even though we own a couple. He told us certain cars weren't available then tells us they are if we pay a mark up. Personally I'd recommend to go to woodland hills Lexus, much more professional. Lexus Toyota and Lexus Audi are much better experiences, it was a shame the Lexus dealership wasn't. read more

This is a review/complaint about the finance department at Keyes. I recommend everyone considering buying a car from Keyes take a very close look at the contract and the maintenance plan to not get ripped off. I bought a used ES350(30023 miles) at Keyes in Jan 2019, together with the a prepaid maintenance plan which cost $595. The finance manager told I can get free maintenance service at any Lexus dealership every 6 month/5k miles. I moved to San Diego later, and brought my car to the local dealership(btw the staff there are much more honest), and guess what, the plan I got was a "Toyota auto care" program, and all it does is to get $25 off for each maintenance check. The service consultant there told me I'm the 3rd customer he has met in half an year who had been scammed at Keyes. To make things worse, the consultant also told me that the car was not serviced at 30K miles before sold to me, so I have to pay for an extra $600 for the 30K service (no wonder the key's battery ran out 3 months after I bought the car) I called the service/financial department and tried to confirm the service history with them, one of the service managers blatantly lied to my face by stating they did the maintenance at 30K, while other honest people at the service department told me that all they did was a safety inspection as required by law (changed engine oil, break inspection etc.). One lady helped me to cancel the "Toyota auto care" program, and hopefully I can get some money back in a month - the car have not been serviced for even once! P.S. also pay close attention to the contract. I found a pretty good deal online, but the financial manager who sold me the car added items like surface protection in my contract, which cost about $1500 extra. Guess what it does for you? The thieves won't be able to resell the components if they dissemble your car! And you have to take that as it was already part of the car (even if it says optional in the contract). I think some employers here are simply dishonest and try to rip you off, especially if you are unfamiliar with cars. I tried to be as objective as possible in my review, and I paid a lot for my lesson. I hope potential customers could also learn from it. read more

I stopped here to shop for my next Lexus, but have to say that the negative experience has almost soured me on considering a Lexus in the future. I felt that the salesman was not listening to what I was asking for and instead chose to march us around the lot looking for stock, only to find that he was missing the keys or it lacked the requested packages. Finally, when we ran out of time, I returned to see that my Lexus's windshield was broken! The Manager's response: "We would be happy to deal with it if you buy a car from us." There are many other Lexus dealerships in SoCal who value the customer experience and relationship enough to listen to their customers and accept accountability for incidents like this. After a month of being ignored by Keyes after they scratched and dented my car when I took it to them for maintenance, I finally got a call back after the Lexus corporate office contacted them on my behalf. They kept my car for THREE WEEKS to fix brakes and body work from the damage. When I picked up my car, it was completely DIRTY. They didn't even offer to clean it for me. Considering I had just had my car cleaned the day before bringing it to them, I was pretty upset to have to spend money to clean it again right after picking it up. I am so disappointed with the way this place does business. I was called by Ellie Carbajal, a product specialist that told me she was the internet manager and that she would go over special offers by Lexus with me. She asked me to come visit the dealership. I was interested in hearing her out and I said to her that I would be there in 45 minutes. My wife and I made sure on keeping that time, which we did. She let me know to ask for her when I got to the dealer. I arrived with my family(son as well) at the said time, but she was busy with another customer which I understand. We waited for her and while we were waiting another gentleman (Mr. Jones) came and started to help us. He presented us with possible estimates based on our situation. After discussing options with him we asked that real numbers be presented to us so that we could make a more informed decision. I filled out a Credit Application and he submitted the application to the appropriate person. At this point Mrs Carbajal took over and brought to us another estimate(see picture) and presented it to us as an actual estimate with real numbers. Yet, this estimate paper is no different than the one presented by Mr. Jones. I asked Mrs Carbajal if this were the actual numbers several times and every time she said yes. The picture below clearly states that this paper is a "Representation to provide an example..." And explains further as it also says "ESTIMATED APR" with an asterisk(*) that further explains. (See picture) She brought over several estimates. At this point I asked Mrs Carbajal to provide me with the Credit Check Report, she didn't have it with her and went to get it. She brought over a copy of the report and again I asked if this were real numbers based on my credit score to which she said yes. I didn't agree with the numbers and then she said she would see what she could do. She then brought over the Credit Application because it was missing information. Now I asked myself, how then were they able to run my credit if the paperwork was incomplete and how was I being presented different numbers that increased in pricing without being based on my credit score. At this point we decided to leave. Clearly this Keyes Lexus business tactics are unethical and presenting paperwork based on fake numbers is unacceptable. Don't buy any used cars from Lexus of Van Nuys without bringing along someone with lots of auto body repair experience. They sell damaged cars and they will not informed you of it. It's unfortunate since Lexus to me represents value and honesty. But they don't hold their branches to the same values. I've owned Toyotas and my last 3 vehicles have been Lexus's (1 pre-owned, and 2 new). I had a good experience with my first pre-owned Lexus where I purchased it from Carmax. So I thought buying from a Lexus dealership would be better. I've never been so wrong in my life. The vehicle I bought from them had visible scratches to the bumper, which I accepted. I brought it to my body guy to repair the scratches nand he showed me more damages that where repaired to the rear wheel fender, that if I had known, I would have not made the purchase. I was at this dealership about a month ago and I got treated so bad from one of their sales manager Mr. Eddie Yadegar which I gave myself about a month to cool down, so I can write a review in a professional way I showed up at this dealership to test drive a GS350 F Sport. After test driving it , we sat and talked about some numbers. He wasn't in a good mood and he said "I'm about to go home and the deal I'm giving you is the final deal". Unfortunately since my last car and review things have definitely changed. I went back to Van Nuys to be a loyal customer to them since they treated so great the first time. When I arrived (I live an hour away now) no one knew I was coming, after the sales woman told me she would pay for my gas, which she offered and nothing. Which I was expecting but since she offered I thought, great! The woman was no where to be found. So a finance mgr was helping me out, not really listening to what I wanted. I told him to wanted to bumper to bumper insurance and tire insurance. My last Lexus I had to replace 3 of the 4 tires and paid nothing out of pocket which was great. Something felt odd and uncomfortable about this experience. They treated like a kid (I'm 38, I look younger apparently young enough to be treated like an ignorant kid) the mgr was aggressive and seemed shady. Fast forward a year into my lease. I was looking at my bill and notice the months remaining calculation was off, there were 3 extra months in there. Lexis financial said I would have to call back the van nuys location to get that looked at. While I was on the phone I asked the woman to confirm to had tire insurance. She said yes. Now I have a tire issue and my local Lexus service dept says I don't. After I get these issues fixed I will NEVER step foot in Van nuys Lexus again. I won't go out of my way to discourage others but if I'm asked I will be transparent to my situation. My entire family has a Lexus but will not be going back to this shady dealer. I rarely write these reviews but I'm so compelled to share as I'm still waiting on Van nuys to rectify their dishonest and unethical behaviors as I type. read more

Do not trust any representation made by a sales person or sales manager here. Found pre-owned car online. Went to Keyes LEXUS Van Nuys dealership and drove it. We liked it but could not agree on a price. Had significant and lengthy discussion with sales person and sales manager regarding whether car was LEXUS Certified. The sticker placed on the car by Lexus indicated car was a certified pre-owned. We left and before we were 5 minutes away from dealer, they called us and offered us the car for $41,500 with certification. It was still too high so we declined. Today, the day Hurricane Hilary arrived in So Cal, a different sales person texted and said business is very slow due to the heavy rain, if we come in they will sell the car for $40,000 "out the door" and they want to make a deal and earn our business. After the price again, we drove in the pouring rain happy to have been offered the price we felt was appropriate for that car. BUT after arriving and driving the car again and making the decision to purchase it, suddenly the deal they had offered via text was withdrawn. The sales person relayed the car was not certified (despite the sticker on the car!) and if we wanted Keyes to certify it, the best offer they could make was $43,500. So TWO THOUSAND dollars more than they had offered us just four days before. We would not trust anyone associated with this dealership. Rip Off. I went there one year ago to get an oil change on my 2019 Lexus NX300. They charged me for all kinds of extras that my car did not need. Total of $2300. Today I went to see why my engine is making a strange noise, they wanted to charge me $560 just for diagnostic. I walked out and drove to Beverly Hills Lexus. Since the beginning of driving I've always been against going to any dealer for a car purchase, but for the sake of the "good deal" they had on my 4Runner, I took a chance. The car hasn't been all bad. I understand it's used, and it has its flaws. But, the mechanical stuff they have claimed to do has been nothing but lies. Starting with the car's catalytic converters failing because they weren't welded on properly. I had to drive the car all the way back two days later from San Diego to LA to get them redone. Or so I thought. Once again installation error and had to spend money to get them redone properly when I got back to San Diego. They only welded the bottom to secure them to the exhaust, but not the top to seal the piping. Not to mention I was promised a free fill up for inconvenience of missing work and when I asked about it, I was given attitude. "I don't know anything about that." I got them to fill it and I was on my way. Shocks were blown on all 4 corners replaced them and I had even noted that to them when I got it. Time has passed now and yesterday I got the brakes done, something I had also mention was off when I got the car. Replaced them yesterday and what I found was that whomever was assigned to replace them properly, funny enough they work right next to Toyota and are associated, didn't put the shims back in so my "new" pads and resurfaced rotors had uneven wear all over. As mentioned I understand the hassle of buying a used car, but honesty and being taken care of as a customer was thrown out the window. There are some nice people I've met when I was there, but it doesn't make up for any of the fixes that I've had to do. read more

I contacted the sales immediately and I tried to contact the sales' director who promised will get back to me. I am still waiting without answer. I bought a new Lexus from Keyes this year and was given 2 free services along with the sale. The first service went OK, I think was somewhat cursery in nature. The second service was not so smooth. I'm sure being a dealer working on the same make of car all the time carries with it a certain amount of expertise. However, scheduling and promising work within certain perameters does not seem to go along with that expertise. I was told I could wait for my car, that it should be done within 1.5 hours. At 2 hours I asked the representative who called someone and told me the car should be ready within 20 minutes. A half hour later I asked again and was told the mechanics were just starting to work on the car. I told them to stop and just give me my car and was told that the oil had been drained already. after another half hour I finally got them to brinig up my car. Half the service was not performed after close to twice the promised amount of time. This was not right.
