Such a fun experience! Yvonne was our tour guide and she was fabulous! She was very knowledgeable and she is so much fun! The pie making class was fun as well and I loved that I was able to leave my pie in the shop while I went and explored the city some more. We picked them up at the end of our day in Key West and had no problem taking them back on the cruise ship. I definitely recommend this tour.

We booked this tour on our own on a cruise stop in Key West. It exactly met our needs for a local tour of the city highlights, to see the charming neighborhoods, to hit all the key sights and learn about the history of Key West. I would definitely recommend it! Our guide James was very good, funny and answered everyone's questions. loved the key lime pie included at the end. We are regular bike riders and are comfortable riding on the streets cars. If you are not, you may want to pass on this tour as you do weave your way through traffic, pedestrians and other cyclists as the streets here are narrow & crowded esp when a cruise ship docks.

Went on a bike tour on 3/7/24, this tour was an excursion on my Virgin Voyages cruise. Tour guide was Bruce, he was great! Very entertaining and knowledgeable. Highly recommend! BTW they do provide water, helmets and we got to meet the owner who was also pleasant. The Key Lime pie provided after the tour was from The Key Lime Pie Co. And was really good.

My boyfriend and I signed up for a tour a few months ago. This was our first bike tour and I am usually kind of averse to large tours, but I thought "Hey, I'm trying new things this year...". First, we are both pale people. The melanin gods did not gift either of us so if you are similar - wear SPF/sun shirts, hats, and apply the SPF 70+ generously then bring more with you just in case. Even if you don't burn at the sight of the sun, still bring sun protection! Okay, that's my speech. We showed up a few minutes early on Sunday and got fitted for our bikes. Our tour was set for 10:00 ish to 12:30 I believe. No one else showed up for the tour so it ended up being a private tour which was AMAZING! Also, being our that early on a Sunday in Key West is great because there wasn't much in the way of traffic. James was our guide and he was so nice & personable. He also stops in the shade and that was appreciated for July. We learned quite a few things and got some good recommendations. Overall, it was a great time and was fairly relaxing even though I hit a few curbs. Also, the bike seats are very comfortable. I was a little sore the next day, but nothing terrible. We tipped at the end around $20 which I felt was well-deserved.

We had an amazing time with Keylime Bike Tours, which has very friendly owners and operators. We took our two young adults with us, and they had a blast. We also learned a lot about Keywest, and our guide was quirky and quite hilarious. Would definitely do it again!

Best way to see Key West! James was hands-down the highlight of our bike tour. Incredibly nice, hilarious, and packed with interesting historical facts that brought the island to life. He never hurried us - we stopped for photos whenever we wanted (and he even took some great group shots for us). The bikes were comfy, the route was scenic and easy, and James's energy kept everyone smiling for the entire 3 hours. 10/10 - ask for James if you book! read more

We had a private bike tour with James which makes it a little more fun. Even though I fell off my bike before we left the shop and my husband scraped his knee on a brick wall at the end of our tour we had a fun time. James was knowledge and had some funny stories to add. There is so many fun places to stop and see in Key West, we will be back for another visit. The Key Lime Pie at the end of the tour was good also! read more

Bikes were junk, trip was through crowded city streets. No part of the tour was enjoyable except the end. We had numerous women with marginal abilities, so consequently I became the tail end bike, helping and maintaining the pace so people didn't fall too far behind. Probably should be a function of the tour company not a responsible paid tour participant! read more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our bike tour of Key West. The location was easy to find and getting situated prior to the launch of the tour was quick and easy. The bikes were in great working condition and each bike had a basket to hold your gear and the bottle of water they provided. Our tour guide, James was charming and delightful. He made the tour fun and interesting. This company definitely focuses on customer experience by genuinely wanting everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time. BONUS: At the end of the tour they treat you to a slice of delicious key lime pie. Highly recommend! read more

From the start, Maria was amazing with emails and when we got on the tour, Maria, Lonnie, and Desiree were just the best. They completely went out of their way to make sure we had the best time ever. We had only two scheduled events for our 5 day stay in Key West. 1) a guided bike tour and 2) New Years Eve dinner reservations. I couldn't be more happy with the bike tour. A group of 4 of us went with a total tour count of 15. It was a pleasant, casual ride. The owner gave us a rundown of bike operation, helmet requirements and instructions on what the tour would include and what to do if you happened to get separated from the group before we embarked. He then introduced us to our guide, James, who could not have been a more entertaining and informative person in that role. He was FANTASTIC! The tour lasted about 2.5 hours and we rode about 5 miles. Given the flat island geography it was very little physical exertion to make that happen. All told, I highly recommend and our group had a great time. It was certainly a highlight of our trip overall. read more

We had a great time on this tour. We booked it from our cruise. Dustin was our tour guide and it was a great pace with plenty of stops for history and info about Key West. Dustin was happy to take our picture at all of the landmarks we covered ! We even got a bonus stop at a botanical garden which was awesome. Book this tour now and request Bruce Mitchell as your guide! My wife and I chose this excursion on our Royal Caribbean cruise. The tour and customer service were outstanding. Our guide, Bruce, was probably the best story teller I've ever encountered. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, kept the entire group's attention while sharing interesting information at each stop, and was hilarious as well! The bikes were very comfortable and the tour was not strenuous at all. Bruce ensured all riders were safe and gave us good instructions before starting the tour. The free key lime pie at the end was delicious as well! Highly recommend booking this tour ASAP! read more

Great tour around Key West. We are able to hit all of the must see locations in Old Town. Don't be intimidated by the bike. You ride for short periods of time and then stop to learn about the area. The pace is manageable for all ages and abilities. While we weren't on a cruise ship, they are a good option for those at port. Best of all, you end up with a piece of Key Lime pie! read more

Very friendly staff at check in and return, funny tour guide with lots of historical info and trivia (James), sturdy, well kept, clean bikes and cold, yummy key lime pie to enjoy at the end of the tour. Great tour! This was our family's first visit, and this is a great introduction to Key West. Our guide, James, gave us a well paced and informative tour. We loved the slice of pie at the end! The route is flat and goes along streets with reasonably slow vehicular traffic. Easy and fun! read more

If you are looking for a friendly tour guide with quality bikes and plenty of history to go with the fun - this is the place! I took a tour with them and enjoyed the whole thing. Highly recommend it and will do it again on My next trip because it is such a great way to move about the island and see all the key sites. read more

Super time. Very fair price for value. Wasn't hurried, polite, knowledgeable fun - they provided good bikes, ice water and free key lime pie at the end in air conditoned restaurant! Seems like we toured it all from historical places to fun fact spots, lighthouse, architecture, mansions, Hemingways pad, graveyard, kitschy cool ins and outs of the rich history of the island - i really thought it was great. We highly recommend it and ask for James! Job well done. read more

Road last Saturday (March 2nd) with James as our guide. Very informative, great sense of humor, and overall knowledge of Key West. Road by the popular areas including Mallory Square, Truman White House, Hemingway House, Lighthouse, and 90-Miles to Cuba Southernmost Point as part of tour. Very easy ride on well maintained coaster brake bikes, fitted for each rider. Enjoyed a life of Key Lime pie afterwards, which is included. Hats off to owner, Maria, for a well crafted, safe experience. read more

My wife and I used to own a restaurant at the Jersey Shore. We decided to move to Key West and open a bicycle tour business in 2010. We sold the restaurant, made the move in 2011, and opened the business in 2013. We can't imagine ever living anywhere else!

I am a Midwestern girl, so I am no idea what heatstroke was all about. I found out real quick oh, and that is when we found JV Rental. The gentleman behind the counter was as sweet as sweet could be. He understood our predicament very well, and it was literally less than five minutes from filling out the paperwork to taking off in our golf cart. We were a group from Margaritaville and Margaritaville has electric golf carts, so driving a gas, golf cart was a bit different, a little rougher, but all in all the experience was amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you J. V. Rental. You literally saved this Midwestern girls life because apparently unbeknownst to me I had a really bad case of heat stroke. You are simply the best.

I'm a crazy planner but I knew our trip was coming up. The first time we booked them, our reservation was much closer to our visit. They proactively texted me about the timing to drop off the bikes and confirm our reservation. This latest visit, I realized that I didn't get that text so I ended up proactively contacting them the night prior to ensure a smooth drop off. I think they may have forgotten about my reservation. Regardless, they managed to get everything in order and drop off the bikes (even if it was probably a little last minute). They bring helmets, bike locks and can add on child seats for the little ones. I ended up extending my reservation with a simple text and it was no issue and they autocharged my credit card on file. What's so great about Key West is that it's compact. I was able to just use the bike during my entire stay and didn't have to move the car once from the hotel parking lot. I'd definitely use this bike rental service again.

We enjoyed the two hour jet ski tour around Key West at sunset. It was absolutely beautiful and our three boys, ages 12, 13 and 16, loved riding the jet skis. We took a deep sea charted fishing trip and ACTUALLY CAUGHT A MARLIN....WOOHOO!!!! My husband grew up catching that type of fish and it was fantastic to have that experience with our boys. Captain Barry and his angler were so patient with the boys that we can't wait to return for another fishing experience with them. We also really enjoyed the Key West Ultimate Adventure. We can't wait to return to the beautiful Key West Islands and when we do, Melinda will be one of the first people we contact to have everything set up for our trip.

We gave the place a call and the owner picked up the phone and I asked for the price of the moped was for a week and he knocked off a couple hundred dollars and settled on around 280. We picked it up that night. It was the best experience on the trip and they even filled it up twice for no charge at all. When I'm back down in Key west I'm going back and going to see if the owner would do 250 for a week! Moral of the story always see if prices are negotiable! Was a great experience no hassle at all!

By the end of the ride, I learned the history of the city, the booming times of the city until..., and some personal recommendations by our guide, Chris. He made the experience even better with his humor and in-depth knowledge. One of my favorite tidbits was the story behind the Conch Republic's tongue-in-cheek motto: "We seceded where others failed." In a playful protest, Key West once jokingly declared war on the United States and then immediately surrendered, turning the whole thing into a symbol of its independent spirit and humor. The train took us all around the island, passing by famous landmarks like President Truman's House, Ernest Hemingway's Home, Duval Street, and several museums. Overall, I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing way to explore while staying cool in the Key West heat.

My husband and I wanted to escape the -10 degree weather back in Wisconsin so we escaped to South Florida for a few days to soak up the sun. We took a day trip to Key West and joined the Key Lime Bike Tour with James as our guide. James embodied the laid-back Key West cool. He regaled us with tales of pirates and fast rowers turned millionaires and chickens (so many chickens) that transformed Key West. The ride was easy. We rode by several historic buildings - The Hemingway House, The Truman Little White House and the usual tourist sites - The Southernmost Point marker. James has the inside scoop on that "factoid" about the spot being the southernmost point. All in all, the ride was a gentle way to see Key West in a little over two hours. We rode about five miles according to our GPS watch mapping our ride. Because we did such a good job staying together and not getting hit or lost, James handed out Key lime pies for us to enjoy at the end of our ride. Excellent tour. read more

I booked a shore excursion with Key Lime Bike Tours through Virgin Voyages, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my day in Key West. Ted, our guide, was easy to find at the designated meeting spot right after I disembarked. From there, it was about a 5-minute walk to the shop where we were set up with bikes, helmets, and water. We had time to adjust everything for a comfortable fit before heading out. During the two-hour tour, Ted was incredibly informative and engaging. He shared the story behind the chickens and roosters roaming the city, gave insight into Ernest Hemingway's time in Key West, and pointed out landmarks like the local Coast Guard station. He was personable, easy to talk to, and answered all of our questions along the way. Overall, the bike tour was a great way to see the city and learn some history at the same time. We had a stop on the Disney Wonder and decided to take a bike tour to get some exercise. Instead we got a very local, detail oriented history/bike tour of key West. having been there 2 other times this was they way to see Key West I certainly would recommend this to anyone on a cruise or any landlubber as a stop. We also were treated to a piece of pie at the KeyLime Pie which was recently featured on a business show, nationally. James was an absolute blast! Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about the area and its history (with a few fun embellishments thrown in), but he keeps the entire tour light, engaging, and entertaining from start to finish. He has a great sense of humor, makes everyone feel included, and genuinely seems to love both his job and the island. This was probably one of the best and simplest activities we did. Don't worry about the biking being grueling, there are plenty of stops, the route feels very safe, and it's enjoyable for all levels. If you can, request James, you'll love him! read more

We love doing bike tours when on vacation - it's a great way to see a city and learn a little history while being active. We did this back in February (I know, I know... a little late on the review) and absolutely loved it! My fiancé and I were the only 2 on the tour so we basically had our own private tour. The pace was great and our tour guide (her name escapes me at the moment) was a self-proclaimed "history nerd". She took us around to all the touristy hot spots and through some local neighborhoods. We had the best experience. Have been to Key West in the past and were handed a small paper map to try and find areas of interest. Took most of the day on our own. With Key Lime Bike Tours we were guided through out the area to some fun and interesting stops. Our guide Bruce was fantastic, his humor and insider information made for an entertaining and educational tour, while not seeming to be on a tour. From the start to the finish the KLBK employees treated us right. The last stop for the best Key Lime Pie ever was a great place to finish. read more
