The served drinks promptly and expeditiously upon boarding the sailboat. The band was lively and sounded great. We stayed on the top level of the boat and the crew walked around and refilled drinks which was so nice. We didn't have to walked down to the bar and could just enjoy the weather, the sailing and the view! Kudos to Captain Willie and his entire crew for being such a delightful group. They deserved all the tips!

No help getting in the wavy water; instead, she snaps at my struggling wife: "Why do people who can't snorkel even try?" (I'd love to see her skydive after 10 mins of instructions!) Our 'captain' and 'guide', Bethany, was really good at handling the boat, and all that went with it (including us)!! Maximum number of guests is six, today we were four, we all got along well. The kayaking around the little mangrove island was easy despite the moderate wind. Those easily frightened need not be. Bethany imparted a lot of interesting mangrove facts as we went as well as pointing out the different birds that occupy the island. Not really an island as it's all mangroves and no sand, dirt or rock to stand on. Snorkeling that day wasn't great. It had recently rained and the water was a bit murky but we did see a variety of sponges and a few fish. The sail back to port was relaxing, snacks were put out, pineapple and those chunky pretzel things, and for a bit, all was right in the world.

We decided to cancel our initial nighttime kayak tour last minute due to wind, John was incredibly accommodating and issued a full refund without any hassle - he also offered to still take us out if we were up for it, or go another day, but with our schedule and skill level we decided to just go ahead and cancel. A few days later we did a daytime self-guided mangrove kayak and it was absolutely fabulous. This is a beautiful place to spend a few relaxing hours by private or chartered boat. Pets are discouraged from being brought on shore as this is a protected wildlife sanctuary. The kayaking wasn't as hard as I thought it would be so that was a plus. And it was a unique experience so not a complete disappointment.
