This is a fun tour to do in Key West near the cruise port. The tour cost $50 through NCL excursions. When I traveled solo I was able to get this for free with the More At Sea package. It was so good that I did the tour again with my husband the following month. The train is comfortable and open air. It's located in the main tourist area near Duval St. Both tour guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. I would recommend this for a fun, short excursion while in Key West. read more

We took the Conch Train as part of a combination tour aboard the Norwegian Pearl. Of the 3 parts of the tour this was the highlight of the package. The driver of the tram ride around Key West "Todd" talked almost nonstop (in an excellant way) about the highlights and history of this great place. We were shown the many points of interests like Hemingway's home, Truman's "Little White House", and many others. This is "THE BEST" introduction to Key West or if you've been to Key West a few times you may discover a place you havn't visited yet. The Conch Tour is 100% a Key West must do! Conch train was awesome. Franks was our driver and guide. Great sense of humor with some amusing anecdotes along the way. Easy pace with a history lesson and you get eyes on the old part of town. Conch Train Tour Key West 5-1-25 We grabbed this train on Thursday morning about 9:30am. Train was not full so we could sit wherever we wanted. It was easy to hear the conductor Ian over the loudspeaker. He knew his Key West History and even cracked a couple jokes during the tour. We always wanted to take this tour and we are not sorry we did. You will see and learn so much as this train goes all over Key West. I could not believe Key West was that big with lots going on. If your time is limited, this is perfect for you to see most of Key West. If you would rather hop on and hop off, get the tram. This train, you stay on for the entire time until the tour is over. We bought tickets right at the 303 Front Street Depot as it was early in the day. I will tell you we saw the train later that day and it was packed no empty seats. So, if you're not going early you might want to book online for later tours. The train ends up behind Front Steet at Mallory Square. The tour is usually 1 hour long but at times it can run longer. I give this Conch Train Tour 5 out of 5 stars because of Ian the tour guide and all the sites we saw plus all the history we learned from this ride. The CONCH TRAIN TOUR ride is always a must when we visit Key West. We come down here every 2 years or so and enjoy this Train tour and ride around the Island. One thing we miss is that it used to be a hop on hop off, but now it's a full tour which only starts and stops at Mallory Square. We purchased our tickets from Chrissy and she was amazing and went above and beyond! Fun trip around the Island and worth it! I would recommend either doing the Conch Train tour or the Trolley Hop on Hop off ride. No need to do both as they are very similar tours. read more

The Conch Tour Train is probably the most touristy thing you could do in Key West. In fact, it might be the most touristy thing you could do anywhere. It was a semi-stormy, rainy day and our previous plans, which were glorious, were ruined by the weather. So we rode the little tourist train. And it was fun. Your driver will give you a live, narrated tour throughout the ride, except for when you go through a few quiet zones. You will learn history, some architecture, and just generally stuff about Key West. Our driver was quite a character--in a good way. You can hop on and off the train at their handful of stations, if you want to explore the area on foot and then re-board the train later. We wanted to give our feet a break so we just stayed on the train throughout. Yes, it is incredibly touristy and riding a train is no substitute whatsoever for hitting the pavement with your feet and checking out the surroundings on your own pace and in person. Honestly, but for the weather seriously messing with our plans, we would never have ridden the little train. But it was a fun ride, I can't deny it. read more

Arrived at the ticket booth 5 minutes before the train was to depart. Very nice gentleman directed us down the street to get on the train and advised against stopping to get a water to make sure we made it on time . The lady at the train was not having it and insisted we wait for the next one. But, although we were off to a rocky start, it all ended so much better than I could have expected. Our tour guide, Skipper, was so informative and fun. We learned so much on this tour, even though I've been to the island 10+ times. We spent about 15 minutes after the tour talking and it was a highlight of the trip. It's a great way to spend an hour on the island, and make sure you get with Skipper! read more

This experience was so amazing! Our tour guide was Chris and he was so helpful. He was very well at explaining everything about Key West and giving helpful tips and tricks to making your way around. For this being my first time in Key West I felt very informed after riding the Conch Train. The only thing that was not the best, which was nothing they could control, was that the seats were very tiny and were uncomfortable considering that you had to be on there for about 70 minutes. Other than that, I would recommend the Conch Train to anybody who is visiting Key West as it allows you to explore the amazing city! read more

we went on the Key West conch train tour 7/19/25 our name was Frank Coyle. We have been coming to kill us for 17 years and I learned more on that almost 2 hour tour then I have in the 17 years we've been coming down here. He was so knowledgeable, a good sense of humor, and just a great guide for this attraction. We enjoyed it so much that the next time we come down, we will take this tour again and specifically ask for Frank. First thing we did was come to the train station to upon arriving in Key West. This was our first time here so thought we'd start with a historical tour to get familiar with the town. Tickets were around $43 per person for a full access day which also gets you into a museum. The tour lasts around an hour and a half if you didn't get off any of the stops. Very informative live tour as we were driving around. Loved hearing about the history, landmarks, and architecture of Key West. I was noting some places we wanted to go back to after our tour - such as Higgs Beach and the Southernmost Point. One thing I wish the train offered is a hop on-hop off option for major landmarks and picture opportunities but it would slow down the tour experience so I understand why they don't. Overall great way to spend a little time getting to know Key West! read more

My husband and I went to Key West on a recent cruise. We wanted to explore and have been before so decided to do the quick tour around with the train. The staff were awesome and pointed out great items and a plus was that we did get to see some areas we had not seen before. Overall, the experience was great. My only suggestion is to have a little more accommodations for those that are tall. The seats are very close the rails which led to not as comfortable of an hour as it should have been. read more

We absolutely love this little tram!!! Great history and a fun ride. Only complaint is that we come to Key West every year and we wish they did sort of a hop on hop off for people who aren't necessarily going to stay on just for one ride, one day. We come in the low season and they are always riding around with two people. We did this tour on our second day which I recommend. We stayed on the train for the entire tour so we could see all the stops then decide which ones we wanted to get off at. Our Captain was Skipper and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. We went to the Truman Little White House Tour at one of the stops which we recommend. Make sure to bring your ticket if you go there cuz they will give you a discount. Great shopping in the area as well read more

We wanted to do this last time here but my dog was with.. no dogs on the train! Bummer. But this time was good! We were 4 and had a great time riding around. I did have to translate. It really is a pretty nice train ride. When u get off and on like we did you get a different driver. They have a bit of different versions of the stories. But fun none the less. I bought on Groupon and it allowed us into the Rail museum ( Flagler) and the trolley all day as well. On and off! So did the conch first then the trolley went ALL the way around the island! That was kewl! Doing that is allowed us to see allllll the outskirts that U don't see normally. Including the beaches etc and regular shopping areas. read more

We took The Conch Tour Train and saw the important areas and interesting points and a bit of history of Key West since we were short of time. For an hour and 30 mins enjoyed the All Aboard tour. The two or three stops to hop off and on along the way strategically located near main points of interests. Hemingway House, Butterfly House, Train Museum, Mallory Square. They provide us Rain Ponchos , but were not necessary. The Sun came out and the rain clouds moved away. We were staying in Key West and knew we needed more of an activity than just hitting the touristy shops and restaurants. A hop on hop off tour was perfect to give us a feel of the island learn more about it. It was nice because as we were driving around afterwards we got to see stuff we'd already seen and were familiar with. We purchased tickets online which I believe saved a bunch of money. Trip as a whole takes a little over an hour. We got stuck in one of the rear facing seats which wasn't something I'd want to do again, but the train was packed and we had no choice unless we wanted to sit separately. read more

If it was sunny, I'd give this a solid four, but I wouldn't advise getting on this before/during a rainstorm. Most people know this, but I didn't. The tour train gave us white plastic ponchos but it simply wasn't enough protection. We got a lot of laughs in though. Especially funny was that the tour operator didn't even mention the pouring rain, the pelting water, the flooded streets. Instead he just keep going with the history lesson. An upside is that people on the street watching us pass by on "the train" were laughing at how ridiculous we looked, which made me laugh too. read more

Hum this was a tough one to rate a three or four star. Not cheap but the knowledge and stories the guide had. Very insightful and I learned a lot! However one of the selling points was hop on hop off at various points. Well that never happend. I recommend doing the full tour at one time, then hop off. A bit overpriced, 45 dollars per person, however this is tourism and the tour was great. Took about 45 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes, they tour you through the western part of Key West, showing you the Southernmost Point of the Continental USA, to the northern part. 4 stops are there. I wish I could say this tour was a pleasant experience however it was not. The lady who sold us the tickets was nice and friendly. I had a knee walker and was told we could get on and they would hold the folded knee Walker up in the front. Kenny was our tour guide and it was hard to hear and understand him. The times we did hear him and understand what he was saying, he was mostly talking about his life in key west. His wife, his brother the house he grew up in. While he did share information on the historic parts most of the tour had information about him which is not what I was interested in. To make matters worse, the train stops but it is not clear for how long but people get off and Kenny also got off. My boyfriend got out to get a pamphlet on jet ski rentals that was only a few feet away from the train when suddenly Kenny announced he was taking off. The worker lady who Came over to put the strings close tried to tell Kenny to stop. As I was unable to get off due to my sprained ankle. My boyfriend tried telling Kenny we were not ready but Kenny insisted that he was going to take off. The lady who worked there told my boyfriend to get on the train and when he proceeded to get on, Kenny yelled at him through his speaker to not get on. We explained the lady told him to get on. Then at our next stop he comes over and proceeds to tell us how he is going to make sure the lady who told my boyfriend to get on will 'get it'. So as we sat there feeling uncomfortable and disappointed, I notice that Kenny gave my knee walker to another male and he was carrying it away. At that point I told my bf he had my walker. So we had to tell Kenny that was our walker and he had his staff place it up front. Had I not seen it, I would have been missing my knee walker. Besides our tour guide ruining this tour, the ride Itself was ok. There's a lot of bumpy roads so be prepared. Take water with you. Hopefully you get a pleasant tour guide who Doesn't give his personal opinions, yells at his riders and provides a tour of his personal life. read more

We just arrived in Key West and without any research on this tour paid our 80+ dollars for 2 and hopped on Conch Tour Train near our hotel. We are accustomed to these rides making a full circle and bringing you back to where you get on. We were dumped out at Shipwreck museum and it did not look like our stop. We asked our guide Mike and he pointed us to Duval street where our hotel is. We started walking and 1.1 mile later finally made it back. We are seniors, it was a bloody hot walk in the sun and our guides lack of communication was ridiculous. There are better ways to see Key West than getting a sun stroke! read more
