Key Condo Room 2974 1Br 2Ba unit. March 2024 Summary: Value option for 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 younger kids Pros: Very clean. Location on green/orange shuttle line is convenient to Peru Lift. Housekeeping responsive to fix 2 burned out lightbulbs. Gas fireplace. Pool, hot tub, and communal areas are in good repair. Appliances are in good repair, clean and modern. Pull out sofa was of moderate (not poor) quality. Covered parking Cons: Very dark inside. $10 of lightbulbs and one more lamp would add a star. Dated interior, definitely STR quality decor. No elevator. Small. If you're looking for a clean place to stay and get out on the slopes but not much else, this place is for you. Great location to get to the Peru lift by shuttle and well maintained for an older property. There's a loft in the bedroom with another bed, but the ladder's in the ski closet and I wasn't about to haul it up and down the 41 steps. For a couple it'd be a good size. Nice place, nothing fancy. Was probably really nice 10 years ago. Clean and livable space but nothing to write home about. Too far from River Run to walk. Uncomfortably far but doable to Mountain House. Shuttle is available but takes too long it might as well be better to drive and park. I stay in Key Condos #2931A from 01/02/2019 to 01/10/2019. Where should I start? Host described that studio as "charming". Nothing charming about this dimly light(hosts try to save money by putting least powerful light bulb, may be 25 w). I had to use my cell phone as flashlight to see setting on thermostat and to check temperature on thermometer. Same for the kitchen, light was too dim to read setting on stove. Everything in this studio original from 70th. Owners never updated kitchen appliances, stove, microwave, refrigerator, all oldies from 70th, may be early 80th. Refrigerator very small, it was just enough space for one person food. And refrigerator very noisy. Kitchen have enough kitchenware, like pots and skillets, dishes and utensils. However, did not have kettle, so if you want to make tea, you need to boil water in pot. Microwave door was almost broken and you need to close door several times, until microwave will start. Bathroom was never updated, all original from 70 of 80. Shower doors misaligned, and very flimsy. Studio very small, it was enough for me (just one person), may be for couple. But definitely too small for family even with one kid. Bed was just terrible. Owners put old memory matrass top that was too soft, unless you really like to sleep with knees at your face. I remove that top and sleep on just mattress that was also too soft. This studio main (and only one) source of heat is gas fireplace regulated by thermostat. Thermostat very old and does not allowed you to set up precise temperature. Moreover, fireplace close to bed, so when temperature around bed is ok, it is cold in other parts of condo. Now major hazard. This gas fireplace has forced air blow mechanism that blow hot air from fireplace to room. It supposed to start when fireplace not burning gas but still hot. However, it star to blow air when gas still on, so you start to breath CO from burned gas. On second night, when outside was very cold and fireplace was on almost all time, I wake up in the middle of night with terrible headache and realize that room air fill with CO, I opened door and windows to get fresh air and keep them opened for at least one hour. After that, I set up thermostat for fireplace for maybe 50F to prevent fireplace even start and just bundle up with sweaters and blankets. BTW, studio does not have CO detector. Cable box was broken, so I could not use TV. I call management, they response quickly, and next day brought a new cable box. WIfi is ok. Hosts advertise that unit has ski locker. It is true, but locker located outside in garage. So it is cold locker and my ski was covered with ice from melted show next day when I took them from locker. Locker door does not have door handle and misaligned so it is extremely difficult to open it. I scratch my hands all time just to trying to opened door. Location good for ski, free shuttle stop at Key condo and just one stop to Peru express (at Mountain House Base) or River Run gondola. To get to any of bars or restaurants you need shuttle. Keystone don't have grocery store, so you will need to drive (if you have a car) or take 30 min ride on free Summit bus to Dillon. Owners need to totally update entire studio or charge less. Upon entering, I loved our place. It was a 1BR with a loft and pull-out couch that could sleep six comfortably. We were a short walk from one run, right by a Keystone Village (free) shuttle, a little longer walk to the shops at River Run (another Keystone village), with a spacious living room area, full-size fridge, and kitchenette. Upon further exploration, I downgraded it a bit. We still had a really nice time and I wouldn't mind staying there again since we got a really good rate. Just be aware that you're staying in someone's mountain home so the decor will be random, the paint choices (like a purple bathroom) will seem odd, the cookery might require some innovation (cooking eggs on a griddle but skipping the rancid smelling oil left in the kitchen), and the closets might have curtains instead of doors to save on costs. We also had to search around for the towels before finding them inside the bathroom cupboard and our place didn't get cleaned though we thought we asked housekeeping to come back after we'd left for the day. read more

We stayed in 1513 E. Keystone arm: 2967 (I think) can't exactly remember the room number . NO HEAT !!!!!!!!! This is a old raggedy condo ! The word condo is used very loosely ! The 1888 emergency help line is RUDE ! The have no good order of direction to get to an unit . Door code was WRONG ! The property worker was rude . He lied & said the manger would called . THE BREAKER BOX KEPT SHUTTING CERTAIN AREA OF THE CONDO OFF !!!!! I'm back in my state & still no call from the manger !!!!! Communication SUCKS ! The units have very old furniture , pretty sure we was 4hrs from getting bed bugs . Stove didn't work , they tried to charge my card $750 security deposit WITHOUT my permission AFTER we checked in and was actually settled in the room . One of the workers accused us of smoking POT ! Denver is a legal for weed . POT is crack , dummy ! They lock us out the room while we was gone to do activities . Anthony (a work) came to unlock the door and let us get our belongings and we just found another hotel . PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE !
