I came glasses shopping here in late December after shopping at least 5 different glasses retailers around the area that accept VSP insurance. I was having a hard time finding retailers with frame selection in the $100-200 range, many had frames that were much higher in cost. My experiences shopping at other retailers were either with staff that didn't seem interested in helping, or were blatantly trying to upsell more expensive frames and lenses. After an exhausting and last-minute search, I came here and was immediately welcomed by friendly staff who were more than happy to assist in picking out glasses that might look good, despite how busy the end of year rush was. They were really helpful and patient while I went back and forth between a bunch of pairs, and helped me pick out a pair I was happy with that was within my budget. They got my order placed that day. They were ready within the estimated window and the pickup process was easy and I was on my way. Very happy with my new glasses! Would recommend shopping here if you like having a little assistance and if friendly, no-pressure service is important to you!

Let me start by saying I had no reason to. This location is nothing like the other. The doctors were great at both locations, but Sports Arena was still better by a landslide. The tech in the beginning was so nice and funny and made the whole start of it easy, even relaxed. I was able to redo my Neurovision test, which I needed for my BVD, binocular vision dysfunction. If you don't know what that is, they explain it well and walk you through your options of treatment, and it's worth it. My motion sickness is finally gone after having it my whole life. Back to the doctor, she was kind and thorough. She made sure I was getting what I needed and gave me options. My insurance covers prism lenses for BVD but not Neurolenses. I've used Neurolenses last time, and they help amazingly, but I wanted to see if the ones my insurance covered would work, so she worked up the numbers for both in case I needed to come back to switch out for the Neurolenses. When she brought me to the front to be helped with getting glasses and going over my insurance with the next person, they both reassured me that if the prisms didn't work, I could bring back my glasses, and the amount I paid would be put towards the other lenses. That was a relief. The gentleman in the front who helped me also helped my husband that day, and he was amazing. He had a freeing vibe that was all his own, and he knew how to read exactly what you wanted. They being frames to you so you don't have to wander. It was a nice surprise to be catered to like that. He made it fun, and the few pieces of feedback given, he took to heart and redirected exactly to what you needed. He found my favorite pair of frames I've ever had. I've gone back and forth from metal to plastic but almost always doing black. Without knowing it, he grabbed a clear pink pair I was eyeing from across the room like he was reading my mind. I'm in love with them. They're the best-fitting glasses I've ever had, which is saying a lot since I have a small head, and most fall off. I've had to get kids' glasses in the past. These were kids' glasses, and they were perfect. He did amazing. Best yet, he did his magic all over again with my husband and got him a pair of frames he loves that he normally would never go for. My husband is a brow glasses guy. This time, with the help of this gentleman and a lot of convincing from his wife, he tried a full frame and loves it. They know what they're doing here. We'll definitely be returning!

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Kevin Hoang Optometry and Associates since 2024. My brother was visiting from Japan and highly recommended Dr. Kevin Hoang. A few months later, I scheduled appointments for my family (myself, my husband, our teens, and my mom). We were able to get appointments right away. The online registration was easy and simple to complete. The office is clean. The staff is professional and explain everything that will happen during your appointment. This was such a change from our poor experience at an optometry chain location that is no longer in business. Dr. Kevin Hoang provided exceptional service and was thorough with his explanations. He took his time and shared his knowledge and expertise. We have continued to return to Dr. Hoang and when we he was not in office my family has had visits this in in 2026 with Dr. Thuy Ngo Tran. I highly recommend her as well. She is also professional and provided quality service. The staff returns calls when you leave a voicemail and replies when you send an email. We can count on having consistent service every visit and will only go to Dr. Kevin Hoang Optometry and Associates. read more

What a great experience from start to finish! I am pretty regular with my annual eye appointments and I've gone to quite a few different doctors. I can say with confidence I'll be coming back to Dr. Hoang's from now on. Both Misa (the tech) and Dr. Hoang were very friendly and professional. Dr. Hoang was thorough but efficient; I ask a lot of questions just because I'm curious and Dr. Hoang took time to answer all them. I also loved that I was able to easily book my appointment online and fill out everything before I arrived. Even though I booked a week in advanced, the process would have been just as easy if I needed a walk-in appointment. The fact that this gem is in Walmart so I was able to so some shopping after my appointment was just icing on the cake. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Hoang! read more

Outstanding. Dr. Ho is kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I won't be going anywhere else for my eyecare. Get the prescription, and then just walk next door to the wallmart eye center and buy your contacts or glasses. also, I noticed that someone else wrote a negative, 1-star review based on their experience at that next door eye center. this is unfortunate and unfair to Dr. Ho, since his practice is separate from them.
