Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! Had to give 1 star to write a review, and they only deserve that because the young men moving the boxes did try a little. They we're 5 hours late, broke a $2,000 table and then would not pay to fix it. Instead they offered to call the police if I continued to ask about getting it back. They do not answer the phone, or call back. They trashed my belongings. Toilet cleaners was spilled all over inside a box. The list goes on and on, point being I don't write reviews to be mean or not pay my bills. I make plenty of money, and did pay the ridiculously over priced bill. This is the worst company I've ever worked for. Kevin is very unprofessional. I've worked for him several months on and off and the last job I did for him, he printed me a bad check dated for July 1,2020 and I never received my final check that was supposed to be mailed, dated for 7/15/2020. This wasn't the 1st time it happened. He has either shorted my check, not paid me on time or didn't pay my at all for work that I've done for him in the past. I'll never work for him again. I'm going to move forward legally to make sure I receive the money I worked for. I couldn't even file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because number one his business isn't even accredited and number two this issue will have to go through the EEOC. I will be moving forward and doing whatever it takes to get the money I worked for. I wouldn't suggest anyone do business nor work for him, ever! read more

Do NOT use KevCor Movers! First, they were only supposed to charge me a deposit. Then they charged the entire moving cost amount the day before their scheduled hire. They proceeded to no show on Thursday, Dec 5th. We had to call him and he tries to say that we hired him for that Saturday. Not true! We had to be out by the 6th so that our house would be empty for the maid and carpet cleaners. He then admitted to writing it down wrong. Of course, I was livid as this put us in a bind. He had the nerve to ask if we still wanted him to come on Saturday. Of course not! So I am going off and I say give me a refund. He says he will issue it immediately, and it will take 3-5 days to go back on my card. It's now been five business days and surprise surprise, no refund still! I had already filed a dispute with my bank that Thursday when he no showed. I didn't trust him to be reputable at that point. My first sign should have been when my card would not go through 3x on his end. He said he had written it down wrong the first time. I spoke to a friend of mine who said it was a blessing that he didn't show up because they damaged their furniture when they moved them. This man has no remorse, conscience or professionalism. We tried to call him and it wouldn't go through. He probably blocked my number as his business phone is his cell phone. He is a thief and has caused so much stress to our family. My money is in limbo for who knows how long. And he just deleted my negative post on Facebook that I left earlier as well. They have positive reviews on Groupon which is why I chose them. A move that FINALLY didn't suck!!!! I can not say enough good things about this company. I purchased a Groupon for 3 hours, a truck and 2 men. They were on time, went above and beyond to help me access my storage unit, gently moved the furniture and were friendly and polite. The truck was clean and they had supplies to ensure a quick, safe move for your items. The owner, Kevin, is a nice guy, made it easy to text and schedule the move and confirmed my move within 48 hours of my call. There were no overage charges as we communicated the size approximately for a proper estimate. If you have ever used a moving company you should be able to easily do this. The calculated driving time was accurate. "Hunk's Hauling Junk" will ruin your life with incompetence and "2 men and a truck" will steal your stuff. Make sure you get price in writing. First told it was 3 hours (it was 1pm-4:07m) but charged 4 hours bcuz he couldn't figure out pay method. Ok I was spose to get free hour. So at $150 an hour for 3 men (I was quoted 2 men $125) I was charged $450. 1-4pm -free hour is $300. When I questioned him it changed from 1-5pm. $450 I paid. But guys gone by 430pm after Kevin finally figured out he messed up the payment. Even if charged for time it took to pay him it's still 3.5 hours so I was overcharged $75 if round time to 430 -$150 actual time men worked. THE men on site were good. Bobby was great. read more

They are a scam do not use them lied to me and my daughter. Saw a groupon for 2 hours $100 3 hours $125. Call to ask some questions. The man told us he would give us the same deal without going through Groupon. He would only add $25 more milage/gas. Total of $150. Paid in advance. Cancelled my other arrangements. The 3 men arrived at my apartment March 3rd at 3:35. The older man looked around saw it was easy job. Got to the paper work finds out My moved started at 8-11 when they pulled of there location. So I have lost 40 minutes of my 3 hours. What would have taken 1 hour and a half. I was moving half a mile away. Cost me 4 hours which means at 11:01 I was charged an additional $150. And the finished at 11:20. Didn't even get all my things I had let I was moving them myself. They still owned me 40 minutes. Please don't get scam. Welp, I'm not sure how I lucked out. And I'm not sure my review will help boost their terrible rating but here it goes. I found them on Groupon. It was 3 hours for two men and a truck. (Not to be confused with Two Men and a Truck. Which I used last time for the exact same move. And THEY SUCKED) Anyways, I digress. So three hours two men for my studio apartment move. I'm a no nonsense type of person, and having JUST done this same exact move four months ago, I knew what to expect and what to watch out for. First of all my move was scheduled for 10 am. They showed up at 9:40 am. I thought, "Great! Let's get this show on the road." Instead of two men, there were three...however I only saw one of the threesome once. They walked in the door and I set the expectation that this will not take longer than two hours. (Even though I paid for three) I instructed them where to start and start they did. We were out of my place in about 30 minutes. My new old place is a 10 minute drive from 5 Points South. They made it there in about 13. Considering their truck is huge and they have to drive through Mountain Brook to get there I'd say they did pretty good. The main guy whose name I forget, but I'm going to call him Oliver Oli for short and for purposes of this review, was great. He didn't seem to judge the fact that I looked like a hot mess express or mind that I wasn't friendly or interested in anything but getting this over with. Long story short, they were done in a ****ing hour! Granted this move logistically speaking was easy af. But still...It took Two Men and a Truck 2.5 hours FOR THE SAME MOVE. And they busted up my shit. I don't know if I'm going to go start unpacking and realize they've stolen my shit or something because they literally just finished. But I paid $120 vs the $280 to the above mentioned assholes. So even if they helped theirselves to some of my dirty panties or one of my cups I wouldn't be particularly fussed. I'm surprised by the horrible reviews other people have left for them. If I would have read them I wouldn't have gone with them, which would have sucked because I have no complaints! Not even the fact that I overpaid. Coulda paid for two hours instead of three but I didn't want to be bent over at the end like when TMAAT told me after riding the clock "we've been here for an extra 8 minutes so we charge you for another half hour." I booked through groupon. My first experience was Kevin texting me to text him and saying that he couldn't talk on the phone. Then he requested that i cancel the groupon and book with the company. Although it seemed a little sketchy, i agreed and attempted to cancel but the groupon was non refundable. He then quit communicating with me and i had to follow up to make sure we were booked. He was rude and seemed annoyed every time i talked with him. He left out so much information such as: the clock starts when they leave the warehouse and ends when they return, not when they get to the job and complete the job. They charge for any shrink wrap used, but don't ask if you want it used, several of my furniture pieces for damaged (none beyond repair, but that was at my own expense) and they don't give you time to check over your things. They can't move lawnmowers with gas in them (which i would have prepared for had i known). Pretty sure he sent his most incompetent guys to punish my for not being able to cancel the groupon, they were slow, constantly winded, complained about the work, didn't communicate with each other and work together. Then the stated amount for any time over the groupon was $125 per hour, his guys tried to charge me $150 per extra hour. It took them 6 hours to do what two men and a truck did in 3 last time i moved. Do not use. You end up paying just as much as you would with a "professional" service by the time they're done. read more

I wish there was a way to give a negative score for this company. They are terrible and no one should waste their hard earned money on any service they have to offer. I booked my moved with this company on April 7th, for a move date of May 15th. This was well over a month in advance. I was told that I would receive a call the Friday before to confirm. I did not! So I called them on the Saturday before and apparently they did not have me down on the books. The owner TEXT me that he'll have to reschedule my move to a later day in the week; he didn't even give the courtesy of giving me a phone call. I didn't have that kind of time and plus this is not a hair appointment, I am moving and have set move out dates. You can't just reschedule someone's move to whenever you feel is convenient for when we've already agreed upon a date. Then, when I asked for a refund in efforts to find another company, his exact words to me were, "You would have to get groupon to give you a refund. You paid them not me. SORRY for any inconvenience." I believe he forgot that he had already redeemed my Groupon making him responsible for my refund. Needless to say, I let Groupon have it and advised them to discontinue business with this company. I did get my money back from Groupon which I am grateful for. I ended up gong with Able Body Movers, who were perfect and such a pleasure to work with. I tipped the workers very good because they came through at the 10th hour because of Kevcors screw up and lack of professionalism. I said all this to say, don't waste your money on this company. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! We finally had to tell them to just stop and leave bc it took 8 hours to do a MAX 3 hour job and tried to charge me $800+. Moved from Hoover to Downtown and all they had to do was move 1 bed and boxes...no den furniture, no TVs, no large furniture. I can't make this stuff up. For example, it took TWO large men to PUSH a cart of BED SLATS! Very lazy, very unmotivated. The owner did NOT care about the customer, only about making money. Furniture was scratched up, boxes placed upside down, expensive rug left on the truck. It was a total nightmare of a day. Disaster. No clue how they're in business.... read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. WORST moving experience ever. We are a military family and we trusted this company to help us while my husband was deployed. They left some of my stuff (that they were told multiple times was to go on the truck; it was on the ground at the end of the ramp) behind in the yard where it got rained on for a week till it was discovered it was missing, including a suitcase that had my husband's military dress service uniform and my wedding dress and a second suitcase that had my jewelry plus a bag with two expensive memory foam pillows in it. They put a huge gash on the back of our couch, they scratched up the front of my desk and scarred up the front of our dresser, plus they were FOUR HOURS LATE on the day of our move and nearly made me late for my flight to go visit my husband on his 4 day pass before he left the mobilization site for overseas. When I got in touch to complain and ask that their insurance cover the damage after they ignored us for weeks, the owner finally responded with "Let's go to court. My lawyers are ready." My husband is now overseas serving our country taking care of our freedom, and they don't even have the decency to take care of our things? They nearly didn't even come, but my husband had to call from all the way across the country and get in touch with someone to make them come out because they weren't responding to my calls that morning.
