With so many bad moving companies I was hoping yelp would help me find a good one. Unfortunately that was not the case here. They promised a lot. They were not the lowest price but seemed fair. But when it came time to move... it just became very unprofessional. They promised to help pack the day before but when the were supposed to come... First they were late, then the main guy showed up with his son and some trash bags. They basically put some clothes in a trash bag. They didn't help pack most of the stuff then complained that it wasn't ready on move out day AND THEY LEFT HALF THE STUFF. SEVERAL ITEMS BROKEN. NO REPLAY WHEN I NOTIFIED THEM. AVOID!! read more

These guys were courteous however they broke a lot of our items and then ghosted us when we pointed it out. I suspect they are not insured as it looks like they've done this to other clients. We have waited since August for a response. It's now November. Poor value as we would have been better off with a more reputable company. read more

So careful, polite and over great young men! Highly recommend! We had a POD in our driveway and just needed extra hands to help fill. They helped us rearrange so we could fit as much as we could. So disappointed! When I first contacted Muscle Movers they seemed very interested in earning my business. They provided a competitive price and were clear on what they would provide. Sadly, as the days marched on and I tried to get them to provide a confirmation of arrival time and proof of insurance, they quit responding to my emails, phone calls and text messages. When I was lucky enough to reach them by phone, I received excuses for not following up and promises they'd get to the items shortly. Never happened! Obviously, I had a schedule for move-out and move-in, so once I was inside a week with no confirmation from these guys I had to move on. I told these guys via text of my decision and still no response. Perhaps they aren't that serious about being in business. In the end, I went with Move Gurus and they were awesome. read more

I have had some really bad moving experiences growing up. So when I have to move, I get a lot of anxiety. A friend recommended A&J to me because they helped her move to Houston run smoothly. They were super professional every step of the way and really worked me on pricing and keeping my move stress free like they advertise. Day of the move they came on time, early in fact and got right to work. I have a lot of things crammed into a small one bedroom and they handled my things with care. I wasn't able to move into my new place until the following day and they were able to keep my things overnight in a safe storage area. The next day they moved me in, in a very timely manor and even put back together my bed and mounted my Tv (extra fee, but worth it)! These young men were professional, early, polite and so very friendly. The took extra care with my daughter's items, especially her 55" tv. They had to stop because of a downpour as they were beginning to unload. They patiently sat in their truck and once the weather cleared, quickly and efficiently returned to unloading. Even though they exceeded the estimated time, die to the weather issue, they still offered me a discount and I paid pennies less than their initial quote. My husband and I hired A&J mscle movers to move us from Alabama to Georgia in August of this year. They tipped the UHaul moving truck in Jasper which damaged a good bit of our items. Four days later when scheduled to deliver our items, we learned that the truck was also broken into. We are in our 60's and had quite a bit of stuff. Our Manley stereo system was stolen, a Tempurpedic bed, loads of tools and rollarounds, a lathe, mill and the heartache will always be memorable for us. read more

Worst company I've ever worked with. We spoke to Alfred after getting our invoice to go over what each of the items was and to make of what we needed to prepare before the move. Labor: 3 guys for 6 hours. They were supposed to pack all of our things, plus wrap & move furniture into their truck. Pack n' Wrap: This was moving supplies. Alfred told us we got 50 complimentary boxes. If we needed more, we would have to supply those. Great. They said they'd start at 8 am the day of the move. Moving day comes. They didn't get there until 12:15 pm because of "traffic." They didn't bring any packing supplies. They broke a ceiling light fixture. They said Alfred told them not to take anything out of the closets. So they left a hefty portion of our things. They were there for a little over 2 hours. They spent about an hour unloading. 3 hours of labor, not 6. We talked to Alfred. Apparently, we had miscommunicated. Pack n' Wrap was only for supplies to wrap the furniture. Not only did they not wrap the furniture, but even if they did, it wouldn't be worth $250. And that wasn't what he told us initially. The head mover Justin offered to go back down to our former place to pick up the rest "at a discount." We arranged a time for the landlord to let them in. We eventually decided we didn't trust them to do it, so we called Alfred to tell him never mind. He said he would tell Justin. He did not tell Justin. Fortunately, we talked to Justin directly and told him not to go. We asked for a refund on the packing supplies. Justin said he would make some calls and get back to us. He did not get back to us. You're better off getting your own U-Haul and doing your move yourself. Now we have to drive 4 hours there and back to finish their job for them. read more

I am someone who has moved more than 10x in 5 years lol I have used plenty of moving companies. This is a local company. They are extremely polite, easy to work with and did a great job and got me moved quickly. Sometimes I will say you may have to text or call a couple times before you get a response but likely Bc they are locally owned and operated but def reliable outside of that. Give them a try. These guy's were great! I paid for two trucks and four guy's, but they actually showed up with six very polite and hard working young men. A lot of them were college students, and they were all very nice. I had a 500 lb pool table that they handled with ease, hence the name "Muscle Movers." Hired A & J last weekend to move our daughter from a 3rd story apartment to another complex not too far away. Our daughter had never moved on her own before and these guys made the move stress free. I made the reservation with Justin a couple of weeks in advance not knowing for sure the exact move date. I provided a down payment with no issue. When that date was finally known I called back and reserved the day. These guys provided boxes a few days before the move so that my daughter could pack her things without the stress of having to go find boxes herself. The move went very smoothly, and these guys were quick and hard workers. My daughter relayed to me that the movers were incredibly kind, friendly, and great communicators in the process of moving.
