We contacted New Latitude about using their services for an upcoming move. They sent out a representative to our home to inspect the scope of what needed to be moved and provide us an estimate. The rep advised he would send us an estimate the next day which we he never did. I received an email from New Latitude today stating , "Wanted to let you know that the move date you requested is no longer available. We have had a commercial job reschedule for the week that y'all were looking at to move and are now fully booked up. I'm sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.". What terrible customer service. Don't even think about using these guys! I contacted them because their great reviews ,and made an appointment for Cole to come out and give me an estimate. He came and did a walk through and told me he would send an estimate for our move on January 2 the next day. I never got an estimate and after 3 days I sent him an email looking for the estimate. I got a reply that he was out of the office until January 4th. I then text him and got a reply that they could not move us un till January 4, I never got an estimate and told Cole that the 4th could not work for us. I called another mover and talked over the phone with an estimator, they gave us a quote in 10 minutes and scheduled the move for January 2nd. New Latitude seemed to not care about sending me an estimate or trying to take care of our move. Thanks for making my move even more hectic. read more

I can't begin to describe how horrible my experience was with this company New Latitude. The reason I hired movers in the first place was to handle moving my 2-bedroom apartment into a new apartment with convenience and ease during a global pandemic. I hired New Latitude because their reviews were really great and they also boast about taking special safety precautions due to Coronavirus on their webpage. However, if you are concerned with your movers taking any precautions whatsoever for Covid-19, do not use this company. The movers showed up not wearing masks. After letting them into my apartment, they did not socially distance whatsoever, did not wash their hands before touching my things, and let alone seem to have any concern for personal space. So after seeing that the movers did not have on any masks, I personally told the movers of health concerns that I have and asked them to put on a mask. The mover's attitude completely transformed, and he replied in a completely disrespectful tone that neither I nor any apartment management could make them wear masks due to the physical labor element of the move. He said several time, "we'll make it work I guess" but then did not put on a mask. He told his partner of my request, and his partner proceeded to enter our apartment again STILL WITHOUT A MASK and started picking up our stuff to carry it. After asking another time to put on masks, one of the movers even had the audacity to cough as he left my apartment and packed up the truck to leave. Over an hour later the manager called me and made the same excuses, defending the movers for not taking Covid-19 seriously. The "you can't make me" attitude comes from management. This was my one day to take off for a move, and now I'm left without movers to help me and needing to scramble to take time to figure out this move last minute. Not only that, but the lease on my current apartment is coming to an end and I'm needing to take extra steps to make sure I can get my move done in time before the lease expires. I'm at a loss for words that a moving company hired to come into my home would not take precautions seriously when upwards of 3 million people have contracted this virus. The behavior and attitude of the movers specifically, and the business model of New Latitude more generally, are unacceptable. Do not give them your business. read more

I have used New Latitude movers a few times in the past with both in state and out of state moves. Recently to save some money I decided to go with a cheaper competitor and boy am I regretting my mistake. I can tell you the service is not good! We ordered furniture from Sam's Club which New Latitude's held for a week pending enough business to travel from Birmingham to Huntsville. We were told it would be delivered between 12:45 and 2:45 and it is now 4:48 and still no delivery. I have wasted the better part of my day waiting on this delivery. read more
