One even gave us a quote and when I called to book the job, they never called back. We found Steve's website online and he called us back within a day, was out to do the quote with in a few days after that and started the job within about a week! He was prompt, professional and not afraid of technology (I.e he knew how to respond via email--which was great because then we didn't play phone tag.) He used quality lumber from a local company, got the job done on time and delivered high quality work. His quote was just a bit less than other quotes (yea!), but generally all the quotes we got were in the same ballpark. So it was really his promptness, communication and professionalism that sold us. The site was clean and orderly after they left and we came home to a beautiful cedar fence. I especially like the gate design. If we ever re-do our deck or extend the fence line, Cedar River will be our first call. I'd recommend Steve's work to anyone!

Adam's deck team did a great job of removing our old painted deck boards and deteriorating wood handrails, completed minor repairs and upgrades to the existing support structure, and installed beautiful new Trex deck boards and handrails. Our driveway and a 5-foot tall retaining wall between our driveway and front yard were severely…read moredamaged and on the verge of collapse. We hired A-1 Stone to remove the concrete driveway and retaining wall, and then to rebuild the driveway with pavers and the retaining wall with concrete blocks. Additionally, proper drainage was installed behind the retaining wall. The work was performed by the company's owner, Paul Singh, along with two of his employees. Remarkably, A-1 Stone completed all the work in just three days, and the results are excellent. Everything looks great, and Paul and his team were a pleasure to work with. I would definitely consider contracting them again. I do have two (minor) recommendations for A-1 Stone to improve: Website Improvement: The company's website is somewhat lacking. It's difficult to see examples of their work or to assess their experience with specific types of projects. A portfolio showcasing past work would be very beneficial. Product Variety: The selection of colors and products they offered was rather limited. Other companies provided brochures featuring a range of stone colors and types, while A-1 Stone only offered a single option for our retaining wall: grey concrete blocks. Overall, it was a relief to work with A-1 Stone. They completed the job efficiently with great results, and there were no hassles or problems. Furthermore, both Paul and his employees spoke English, which made communication much easier, especially since many contractors employ workers who only speak Spanish or Portuguese.

Do not fall for his references like we did. Do not give him any advance upfront. His license is expired as of Sept 2025. We contracted Dio on June 18th 2025 for two bath renovation project at our home after a sincere referral. His appetite to extract money out of us became evident from the get-go. Once he gets the advance and does an incomplete demolition, he asks for 2nd installation. Reaching him on call or text was a pain thereafter. I ended up being the project manager/coordinator working with the labor, plumber, electrician, tiler etc. He lies through his teeth. he lies about pricing and will take extra money from you. For e.g., he asked $350 for a window worth $119 and when confronted would just laugh. Incompetent and insincere - forgets about original project plans and makes mistakes then asks for more money to repair those mistakes. Orders incorrect tiles, incorrect cabinets. (After 2.5 months of excuses, lies and fake tears Dio absconded with money without paying labor, electrician, tiler etc. I felt terrible for them as they were equally scammed. They quickly packed their tools and took off when they realized they were not going to see any money. THE AFTERMATH: 1. Lost money to Dio + lost money with suppliers: All the places where we had paid for material such as Cabinets, Tiles that exclusively work with contractors refused to release the material that WE PAID FOR with our credit card because Dio wasn't there for pick up. We lost thousands of dollars there. 2. Still incomplete project: We are still living this nightmare as any new person who we called for quote to finish the remaining work is also taking advantage of our situation and quoting ridiculous amount of money. We will need to take out loan to pay such amounts. 3. There is so much waste he left behind that we now need to pay to get rid of. Even more loss. 4. Not worth the stress: The constant stress working with Dio since day 1 is not worth saving a couple of thousand dollars. I ended up spending money at the doctors due to all the health woes that come with stress. The state laws do not support consumers and thus allows for such scammers to continue their nasty work. This experience has left our house in a mess and with both our baths incomplete we are at our wits end. We are rebuilding from this slowly and hindsight is 20-20. As we connect all the dots, Dionicio was always planning to take off with money. Each week we hear more homes around us that he took advance from and ran off. I'm sharing my experience in full honesty here so that it benefits others. Not only will you lose money, but you will also lose your peace of mind and health working with this scammer.

At first I was pleased with the initial consultation with Christopher and Diana. Their response was…read moreimmediate and they to found a time to give us a formal bid for a 15x25 paver patio. We were told that we were working with a family business that was given to the son and his girlfriend and they had been working together for 7 years (later Diana told me she was new to the business). They gave us great ideas how we could design our patio and fire pit, did measurements and said they would email a quote the next day. The day came and went as well as four other days. I called and texted per their voice mail request with no response. After I left a negative review, they got back to me stating their laptop and iPad were stolen. I gave them the benefit of doubt and they gave us a small discount off the price of the job. We decided to proceed. I give them 2 stars and here is why: 1. Chris was never seen or heard from again - they stated his Dad was sick and he left for Mexico for the summer. 2. Diana was only on site very briefly and occasionally - a handful of times, which I actually have documented. 3. The crew of 5 that was promised along with Diana or Chris always being on site only happened after I quit being polite and the last 2 days of installation, minus Chris or Diana. Diana only appeared after I said I was not releasing final payment. 4. The patio was to be level with the grass, per Chris they were to dig down 6-8 inches, the crew dug down 1 inch, I complained and a crew of 2-3 came out the next half day to dig deeper. Patio is still a good 3 inches above grass line. 5. Crew had no idea the size, dimension or details of patio, they kept asking ME how it was supposed to look. 6. Crew had the circle kit / pit in more than half the patio, I said that was not the design, had I not caught this, my pit would literally be off my second step - all unusable space. 7. We went back and forth from 1 step to 2 about 15x as the crew said they could then couldn't do it. 8. The pavers were laid incorrectly, when I told the two man crew they stated "don't you like it"? We had decided on particular pattern that wasn't being followed. Texted with Diana (as that was our only communication since we was never out to monitor the guys) and told them to relay the pattern. They tried to take the easy way out instead of relaying all the pavers, I said "Not acceptable" and directed them to pull them all up and start again. 9. I was told by a crew member who was laying the pavers that the border would have to be laid different directions on each side, horizontal on one and parallel on the other - I said NO they all can and will be laid in the same direction. 10. After pavers for patio were laid, the crew began to load all the leftover bricks - which were a ton. They had cut my grass 2 feet wider than they should have (since they had no plan to follow) and said I could plant grass. NO - we had plenty of pavers left, after a call to Diana they did lay the additional 2x15 feet of pavers. 11. Fire pit was NOTHING like we agreed. We told them we wanted a propane pit, the igniter switch and start switch on the side. Chris stated "NO Problem" and that he could even build a cover for the tank. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED AND IT WAS A DISASTER. 12. Fire pit was supposed to have a cap around the top - crew never finished it, built it too tall making for the cap to not be installed. the pit should have been 33" circle fire, we ended up with a 24 13. Diana brought me a regulator for a bbq/propane, had I used it for the pit it would have blown up. 14. To get my fire pit useable and somewhat appealing cost me another $300 - After my text to Diana about holding payment she removed that cost from my final bill. 15. The plastic trim that goes around the pavers to hold them tight was not complete around the back of the pit circle, I was told it was not needed, have you ever seen half a border, it looked unfinished and forgot. I stated they needed to finish the border whether it was cosmetic or not. 16. The same day I made final payment to Diana, Chris sent me a message to ask if the patio pavers was done to my satisfaction, he never replied to my response. 17. After having a rainy day, the patio is NOT level and we have water that pools and sits on top of the pavers. Had Castro their Project Manager been on site like he was the final two days, I believe this all would have went a lot smoother, had less problems and errors and I would have had a pleasant experience. If you want to be the project manager, do all communication by text, and have nothing done that was promised, this is your company. May 2020 - Due to the poor build quality, danger to the lack of ventilation and the igniter being below the burner our firepit was a hazard. Our pit did not pass inspection and cost us an additional 3k to have a professional company rebuild the whole pit.

Due to COVID, my job was delayed due to the many previously waiting customers' jobs being held off due to restrictions. Thankfully for me, my job was finished before the rainy winter season! The pictures show the repairs needed and the shockingly bad repairs. I am particularly concerned about the notching of the new support posts, two of which had a depth of about 25% while a third was reduced by what looks like about 50%. I cannot see how the strength of the posts are not severely undermined. The posts are at different heights, the panels appear crooked, and I do not think that the pole in post method promised was used. The fence looks ugly.

His crew removed two old concrete slabs, built retaining wall, and poured the driveway in just under 2 weeks. Siki was on-site each day to oversee the work being done, at the end of each day we talked about what was completed and what would be done next. Siki accommodated a small change to give our driveway a waterfall edge over the retaining wall, and it turned out exactly like we expected. After concrete was cured (~21 days after) we were concerned about small cracks, which he came back on-site and confirmed they were just hairline and not structural. We are so happy with the driveway, and wish we found Siki in 2019 when we bought the house.
