Previously we were not using our backyard too often - we had huge leyland cypresses along our fenceline that absolutely choked any sunlight out of the backyard. We had moss everywhere, grass that struggled to grow in the shade and grew patchy, and some large magnolia trees that would constantly get damaged by the winter snows. We love being outdoors and spending time in our backyard, but wanted to upgrade the space. We worked with Nick to create a custom plan and redesign our backyard from the ground up, including a covered patio area with BBQ grill and flat top, mini fridge, and a beautiful stone fireplace. Nick's team wrapped the columns of the patio cover with stone, and laid it all out on a bluestone paved patio. He was also able to accommodate a hot tub, and finished it all off with lovely landscaping and plants. We even added a shed and wired it up as an extra entertainment room. Throughout the whole process Nick was patient and accommodating, and was flexible as we encountered problems or changes that needed to be made. Nick's guys were on time and professional, and basically spent months with them as they did their work! Would highly recommend Mill Creek Landscapes for your backyard project, big or small.

John knew exactly what I was talking about when I wanted to reseed my lawn with "shade-friendly" seed, and made the right recommendation to *not* lay down completely new sod, but instead to rejuvenate the lawn (aerating, thatching to remove moss, roughing up soil to create a better seed-bed, adding fertilizer, adding lime to balance soil PH, reseeding, and top dressing with peat). My lawn has never looked better. John's team also did a full clean-up of my yards. Everything looks great now. Highly recommend John for your landscaping needs.

At the suggestions of our neighbor, who did some work with Merino's for the other side of their yard, I reached out to them. Gerardo responded very quickly, got the pertinent details from my yard requirements, and showed up precisely when he said he would. They put together proposal, which was very competitive compared to the other ones, and I also had seen their work that was done on the other side of the yard. I was going to be out of town at the time, so I told him I needed it to be done before I left, or after I got back. He responded very quickly and said he could come out that afternoon and start the job. He showed up as promised, got the majority of the poles set that day, and his team came back the next day and knocked out 90% of the replacement and repaired fence. They showed up a day later for the final touches she clean up! Great job! I'm planning to bring him back to do some work on the front of my fence, which will be all on my bill. As far as splitting it with my neighbor, he did an excellent job of sending split invoices to both of us, no issues there! I would definitely recommend Gerardo and Merino's again.

Jas and his team did a great job from start to finish. I had him take apart and rebuild the last…read more~15 feet of my retaining wall. It was not well built originally and was sagging near a slope at the rear of my property and putting pressure on the fence posts (5 had already broken and had to be replaced after the wall was fixed). The great service started with the initial quote and inspection where Jas was the only one out of several bids to use a soil probe to test if/where the soil was hard enough. He was also the only one to recommend digging deep enough to get to the harder soil and adding 1-2 layers of concrete blocks to better reinforce the wall. As several have said, the crew was professional and efficient. They were able to finish the job in less than one day. And to top it all off, the price was very fair. I'd happily hire him again for any future work.

We hired Vincent and Custom Scapes to install a path from the driveway and a small rounded seating area. We were very worried about drainage and the steepness of the hill for my elderly mother-in-law. Custom Scapes was timely, reliable, and detail oriented. They maintained excellent communication throughout the process. Admittedly, the path is a little steep for my mother-in-law to descend without assistance, but that is the fault of the terrain and not the company. The installed pavers are beautiful, solid and even. Safe for her unsure footing. Despite being in a water drainage path, there was absolutely no problem with flooding. Quality work!
