Visited Keung Kee for the first time in a long time and was pretty satisfied with our meal. Some dishes are better than others, but it's good enough to come back and try dishes to figure that out yourself. I recommend the spicy salt and pepper pork chop, stir fried vegetables, street style rice rolls, and tofu and grouper casserole. The salted fish eggplant dish was lacking in salted fish, and though the claypot rice had a really good crispy rice bottom layer, the spareribs weren't a good cut. Service is great.

Went there for their afternoon deal. Food is alright. There was not enough meat in the soup noodles. Service is slow. It was really crowded with lineups. Ambiance is cramped.

Came here for a quick simple family dinner. Always a fun time to try the dishes here. Ordered the duck (sold out last time), a tofu dish, and the stew .

I was craving for congee tonight, and decided to visit Keung's Restaurant 強記雞粥 at Peachtree Plaza. This place is known for their delicious congee and lots of signature Chinese dishes! We were greeted by the lady at the counter who gestured us to go in and pick our own seat. Our server then promptly brought us kettle of tea and the menus. He was very friendly, courteous, and has great presence! We ordered the minced beef congee, wonton soup, veggie noodles and a plate of Chinese broccoli to share. Everything was delicious, and cravings definitely satisfied. Our server later offered us complimentary desserts at the end of our meal - purple glutinous rice soup :) Thank you for taking such great care of your customers! I'll definitely be back again.

One of my go to when I'm in the area. A restaurant that offers various Cantonese dishes and soup noodles. I ordered an afternoon tea for take out - beef chow mein and it came with a drink so I got a hot milk tea. There are various drinks to choose from like red bean slush w/ ice cream which I would've gotten if I dined in. The food was great and the portion was great. The only downside is they charge $1 more if you do take out for afternoon tea and adding a drink. Another thing is they only take cash.

Ice cream in Pineapple ice drink , ice cream red bean drink not bad !

We came here for The restaurant afternoon tea specials, food is good but the servers were a bit rushed and sloppy ‍, the 9.99 dish comes with a drink , only rice and noodles and fried dishes , then $5 add on snack dishes selections , I would like to go back try other dishes

It's been long overdue since I last dined at Keung's, almost 3 years since COVID period. I have always heard they have good selections for afternoon tea, and you can get "red bean with ice cream" part of your drink choice! For those who aren't familiar with this drink, it consist of red bean chunks, milk/ evaporated milk, and most importantly, the ICE CREAM on top, and is usually considered as an "upgraded" choice of drink for most HK cafe. We ordered the shredded duck rice noodle soup and beef brisket noodle soup. The choices were quite varse for afternoon tea. The beef brisket was tender and full of flavour, and the noodles were cooked al dente with its bouncy texture still intact. The shredded duck rice noodle was quite interesting. I wouldn't say I'm opposing to the flavour, perhaps they got a little heavy handed on the preserved veggie as it was on the sour side for the soup. It has a decent amount of duck meat for the price you're paying. Overall, the price and quality were quite balanced, with each meal costing about $12 for a bowl of noodle soup and drink. However, if you wanted fried noodles, it could cost you $15+

Came for a weeknight dinner and food was mediocre. I've dined at the other location at Warden and Steeles multiple times before and that one is always a hit. However, this location definitely did not taste the same/ hit the spot in the same way. Upon arriving, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table for 3. It was a packed house. The restaurant is quite small but able to fit about 4-5 large tables in there. Service is quick and always attentive. What we got: Hainanese Chicken 2.5/5 - Chicken was silky smooth but the taste just wasn't there. The rice was a little tasteless and didn't really soak in the chicken essence like it's suppose to. It came in a clay pot so the edges on the rice were nice and crispy. Jah Jiang Noodles 3/5 - This is usually my go to dish at any Keung's restaurant. The pork sauce was pretty standard but nothing special. I didn't think it was as tasty as I've had it at other restaurants before. Beef Brisket Curry Rice 3/5 - Curry brisket and rice came separately which was nice that it's not mixed. There's about five pieces of brisket mixed with peppers and onions. Pretty standard dish in taste. Overall, the dining experience and meal was okay for me. I'd probably visit other locations and restaurants before I return to this one.

Came for afternoon tea which is from 2:30-5pm. You get a drink with meal (eg pineapple slush, grass jelly slush or red slush with ice cream). Food prices are decent, quality can be better. Did an add on for $5 deep fried milk block and I didn't like the taste. Some parts were sour which made me think it is bad, so I couldn't finish the rest. Beef brisket noodles had a lot of fatty pieces. Overall the taste is average but you get large portion for what you pay for.

One of the best Chinese restaurants around. The food quality is outstanding and the prices are fair. This is one place that doesn't gouge the customer. The dining room is very clean. The utensils are also clean. Service is pleasant and quick. They do cash and debit which is fair. We totally recommend this location.

Wonton soup--there were more in the size small, but we started to dig into it before taking the photo

Keung's Restaurant was a great find! The complementary soup was a surprise and they offered dessert also. The soup was full of ingredients and delicious...it's as good as what we would make at home! The free range chicken was very flavorful; wontons were plentiful, delicious and shrimp was fresh; vegetables were good too. Overall, a well priced restaurant with generous portion sizes. Service is attentive and interior is intimate. Would return.

There's a few tables set up outside for patio dining and from what I could see the number of tables in the centre of the dining area have been decreased for greater spacing between diners. The price of the chicken wings seems to be more than other restaurants but there's also more wings and these were a decent size. At some restaurants the wing are so small and I end up disappointed. The wings were fried wonderfully (crispy and fresh out of the fryer) and so tasty in the sauce. The fish balls weren't like the ones at hotpot. These were more oblong shaped and less dense. The broth was delicious. I wasn't dying of thirst afterwards so I'm going to venture and say that there was minimal if any MSG in it. The sticky rice was so good with the chopped peanuts on top and we had plenty of leftovers to take home.

This place is the bomb! It's good Chinese food and I love the chilli turnip Pattie's here. It's truly the bomb! If you want Chinese food that hits the spot, this is the place to go!!

The use of traditional elements, paper-cut window designs, red Spring Festival couplets, old-style newspaper wall coverings, and exposed brick adds a strong sense of nostalgia. It feels immersive and intentional, almost like stepping into a countryside home in Dongbei rather than a typical restaurant. The décor isn't fancy, but it's rich in cultural detail and warmth, perfectly matching the hearty, comforting style of Northeast Chinese cuisine. The space is unique and perfect for taking photos. The food here is very generous. We ordered the 4-person set with two side pots. Tomato Braised Beef Brisket and Chicken Stewed with Mushrooms and the portions were huge. Both pots arrived steaming hot and filled to the brim, clearly meant for sharing. The braised beef was rich and hearty, while the chicken pot was comforting and full of flavor, making it perfect for group dining or cold weather meals. Combined with the rustic, traditional décor, it really feels like authentic Northeast Chinese comfort food. The food and atmosphere were excellent, though the service was a bit lacking. Prices are reasonable for the generous portion sizes and the unique restaurant décor.

I was hoping to find something special on the menu. The Peking duck caught my eye at around $70, but then I discovered that almost everything else was extra--lettuce wraps, stir-fried duck meat, fried rice, and soup. By the time you add the extras, the bill is easily another $50 or more, bringing the total to well over $120. We decided to pass, and judging from the dishes we did order, that was probably the right decision. The hot and sour soup had plenty of heat and tang but lacked depth of flavor and was under-seasoned for my taste. Fortunately, we only ordered a small bowl. The deep-fried tofu was bland and forgettable. The stir-fried shrimp was acceptable but nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the sweet and sour pork. I specifically asked the server to make sure the pork was crispy, but it arrived soft and lumpy rather than light and crunchy. Even the complimentary red bean dessert soup was watery and lacked flavor. Our bill came to about $104 for two people. For the quality of the food, I didn't feel it offered good value. Sadly, after several disappointing visits, I don't think we'll be returning.

The lid on my shredded potato salad wasn't on properly and the sauce leaked through my Fantuan bag. The food gets five stars. Sadly, the lid on my potato salad wasn't securely on the container. I had my food in my insulated bag, so the sauce leaked into the Fantuan bag and my insulated bag. Luckily, my car was fine. As a result, my rating is four stars. I wanted to try a new eatery. I looked at my Fantuan app and noticed He Bei Chinese Cuisine. It had dumplings and snacks that I enjoy, so I said yes to placing a dinner order from this eatery. I ordered these items: - Pork and chive steamed dumplings (large has 14 dumplings) - Tea eggs - Shredded potato salad On Fantuan, when you purchase $15 worth of food, you get the shredded potato salad for a cent. Deal! After placing my order near my home, I drove over to this eatery. The drive was ten minutes. I was given an estimated time of fifteen minutes. It was ready in ten minutes. I had no problem finding this eatery. There was plenty of parking. I pulled into a spot and walked in. I saw the Yubu sign. My heart sank, as I loved the Korean tofu pockets from this joint. I liked seeing places to sit down and eat at He Bei. Nice! A woman behind the counter came over. I said that I had a Fantuan order. She talked to me in Mandarin. I don't understand it, but we were fine communicating with each other in our languages. She pointed out the blue Fantuan bag on the table behind me. I thanked her and wished her a nice day. She said thanks right back. I put my food in my insulated bag. With the leak, I managed to launder the Fantuan bag and clean my insulated bag. After I cleaned up, I had dinner at home. The food was amazing and filling! I loved the shredded potato salad. Sure, a lot of the sesame-soy sauce was gone. However, it tasted yummy. It was worth the cent! The steamed pork and chive dumplings were so good. I didn't dunk them in soy sauce. The filling had so much moisture that I felt like I was eating soup dumplings. The filling had yummy flavour and the dumplings were steamed to perfection. Excellent! You can buy frozen dumplings from this place. I'll need to do it. The tea eggs were the perfect snack while streaming hockey games. I peeled the shells off both of them. The eggs were cracked to allow the amazing soy-based sauce to marinate and get into the eggs. Delicious! I'm a fan. I'll take a closer look at the lids on my food next time. I'm glad that I put food in my insulated bag. It saved cleaning my car's upholstery! (59)

The individual New Century slow boiled soup is hardest to share but secure some empty bowls and you can divide the hefty portion. In the winter, there's a silkiness to the piping hot consommé that sooths a dry throat and has an umami essence infused with abalone, ginseng, and pork. There's plenty to choose from in the house signature combo platter including roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork, pork slices, and seaweed salad. Saving my stomach for the later dishes, I had a taste of the duck (a good start with crispy skin) and BBQ pork (satisfactory and well flavoured). With the generous portion of chicken in the combo platter, the slow cooked chicken with abalone broth seemed like overkill. I've never been a huge fan of this dish that's served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it's the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn't skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the "main dishes", the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Both lobsters were substantial; even after eating many pieces, we still had plenty of leftovers. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.

Savoury and paired well with the basa fish filet. Came with bean curd noodles as well. Came out luke warm.
