Spicy and sweet!
Doug B.

Great fresh and crunchy popcorn, both of the "glazed" (kettle corn and caramel corn style) and "seasoned" (cheddar, etc.) with a good variety of flavors. You can even get the Zen variety that is just a bit of oil and pink salt. I don't think there's a flavor that I don't like here and you can sample all of them at the counter. Vanessa helped us this time by and she was friendly -- we'd been in before, but we were still indecisive and she was patient with us :) This haul time was a bunch of plain kettle corn (for us and some family members), the guajillo chile lime (spicy/sweet) and churro (cinnamon sugar goodness). Not open on weekends, so plan accordingly.

pumpkin! Need it say more? Very helpful staff. The young lady at the front packaged up a fresh batch of for me.

All the flavors!

Best popcorn in Arizona. I love that this company genuinely cares about the community. It represents veterans and shares their stories as well as frequently donating to local non profits like EmpoweRanch. When I moved here I found the prickly pear flavor at Whole foods and loved it. I started sending it as gifts back to Chicago because it's vegan friendly and my cousins love it. We are a popcorn family and now I get requests. Ever since KHAP supported my event as a senior intern at a local nonprofit, I've doubled down on sending gifts of KHAP to friends and family across the US. The staff working are super nice too. The shop is so visually appealing and cute. It has a popcorn sampling space and plenty of options to purchase in several sizes for affordable prices. Enzo was awesome the last few times I've been in too. I'm a biiiiig Zen fan. So good. Classic. If you get a chance to try the limited Pumpkin edition, oh yes, I highly recommend!:)

Never buy the small bag of Classic Kettle Corn- rookie mistake!

I'm no stranger to Kettle Corn. I've bought it for my kids at the zoo and sampled it at street fairs and festivals. I like it, but what I don't like is the treasure hunt aspect of eating it. You get one or two good pieces, then spend the next five minutes rummaging through the mealy, uncoated ones to find another good piece of kettle corn. Having not had any in years, I bought a small bag from Kettle Heroes at the Gilbert Farmers Market and proceeded to open it in my car and try some. I shouted "Oh my God!" out loud to my windshield. (There was no response.) I was so surprised to have fluffy, light popcorn that was evenly coated with that kettle corn stuff. There would be a different kind of treasure hunt today. I kept searching and searching for a bad piece (okay, I just kept enjoying the popcorn) and I kid you not: in the entire bag there was ONE piece that wasn't fluffy and coated and had an unpopped kernel attached. How do they manage that kind of quality control?! Then I read that they are a family owned company with great business ethics. They're active in the community, making all kinds of charitable donations. Best of all, their products are all-natural, gluten free, nut free and kosher certified. Yeah, I'm a freshly minted fan!

Hatch chile popcorn. This is so good!

If Enrique Iglesias were to visit this shop he might want to sing "I can be your Kettle Hero baby!" Their brick and mortar location is nestled within an area that has mainly furniture/bedding shops as well as C2 Tactical and Main Event which makes it a slightly odd location for a food establishment but hey, it works for what they sell! The store itself shares space with another totally unrelated business (That must be so tempting for people working in the other business having delicious popcorn so close to where you work all day!). I came here on a mission to get some locally made, high quality gifts. I liked how they had each of their flavors out on display for sampling and they have a mix of flavors from the more traditional like caramel and white cheddar, to more Southwestern inspired ones such as chipotle, Hatch chile and prickly pear. The best part of shopping for gifts is trying out the merchandise to make sure it meets your quality control standards so naturally I had to indulge in a few bites of popcorn samples ;). My favorites were the aged white cheddar and the Hatch chile spiced popcorn. The popcorn itself was light and crisp with just the right amount of seasoning on it. The Hatch chile spice blend is mildly spicy with just a slight amount of kick to it. If you order a bag of popcorn they'll bag it right there for you, fresh from their back room which is nice. The one negative I had about ordering from here is that I specifically came in saying I wanted to buy gifts for some people, and when I got my orders of popcorn they came in the most nondescript brown paper bags with no other labels. Even the flavors weren't easily identifiable since they were listed right at the bottom of the bag, written in Sharpie marker. I had to ask the person at the counter if there was a label that I could put on the bags since they were gifts, otherwise how do my friends know what company this popcorn came from, how do they know I didn't just pop some popcorn and bag it myself at home, and it also doesn't look as nice to give someone a gift that doesn't have any description of what it is on it. There were apparently no company labels for the bag except for some random heart shaped sticker that said to go to the Kettle Heroes website so I made do with that, while taking some business cards with me. At home I later MacGyvered my own labels that looked more official by taping those business cards on the bag and labeling the flavors myself lol. So, if you're at the shop and looking for a tasty treat for yourself, this is a great popcorn place. If you're looking for a gift, it might not be the best looking present on the outside but your recipient will be grateful for the delicious contents inside. UPDATE: Based on the owner's response apparently they do have more professional looking gift bags but I wasn't told about them when I was here. Good to know!

Hatch Green Chile Cheddar Popcorn

OMG! I'm a travel nurse who came to help out with the crisis response here in AZ. I discovered this popcorn in the hospital cafeteria. I've only had the hatch green chile and the white cheddar so far. This stuff is so addicting! Will definitely have to pick up some extra bags on my way out of town, for myself, and for gifts. I see there are a couple other flavors I need to try like the prickly pear and the truffle flavor. Looking forward to those! Mmmmm! So good! So flavorful! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves popcorn!!!

Only a few "whole" popcorn....ugh.....

My daughter and I got a bag of the hatch chile popcorn and when I got home to eat it, I noticed that they filled it with tiny, popcorn dust! It's like they had nothing left so they gave us the leftover broken pieces! We were so disappointed because it was a our Friday night movie popcorn.....

Custom Popcorn for #pluscasitasaguaro

I had a movie night in my backyard and our popcorn was amazing! My friends were so impressed with the freshness and flavors. You got allergies..don't matter because its nut, tree, and GMO and HMO and all the O's free! They also make these cute custom bags for some of my clients that are equally as delicious and adorable.

Yummy bag of popcorn!

I was determined to write a review for this company. I'm completely impressed with their customer service as they were extremely responsive and thoughtful. Love their popcorn. Wish they would bring back the Truffle popcorn. I encourage everyone to try it if they do! Hatch green Chile cheddar is fantastic and not to spicy at all. I'm a wimp when it comes to spice. Keep up the good work "Kettle Hereos". Other companies could learn a lot from your customer service team.

I saw a big ol' basket of Poppa Maize popcorn packs in front of Pour Jo Coffee last time I went to get a caffeine fix and knew I had to try some. I got the tomato basil and cheese. Each bag was $6. When I got home we broke open the cheesy popcorn bag. The flavor was really good! It just the right amount of seasoning. All the kernels were full, round, and fluffy looking. None of that hard kernel ish that breaks your teeth. Unfortunately, even though the bag had a desiccant packed inside to minimize moisture, the popcorn did taste a little stale/not very crisp. That didn't stop the toddler from devouring it all in one day (And sneaking a few bits to the dogs as well). The tomato basil unfortunately was even more stale tasting which was a bummer considering the price I paid for the bag. I did like the tomato basil flavor though. Maybe if the creator put some "sell by," "best by," or "made on" dates that would help, so people know how fresh their bag is. Maybe some different packaging would help too? Either way, I'd go back to get more popcorn from Poppa Maize if it was sold fresh from the kernel. Currently they seem to sell the popcorn at various small businesses such as Pour Jo Coffee and at local farmer's markets.

I would like to make a formal complaint regarding a cashier I encountered today…read more The incident happened on October 5, 2026, at approximately 6:08 PM. The cashier was an Asian woman working at Register/Checkout Lane #3, as confirmed by the supervisor. This was actually the second time I have encountered the same cashier, and unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing. The first time, we purchased a large number of items. After scanning our purchases, she placed the items to the side and left us to bag everything ourselves. Even after the transaction was completed, there were still many items left to bag. She had already finished the checkout and had time to stand there waiting for us, but she did not offer to help. Today, we encountered her again. We actually tried to avoid having her check us out, but she ended up being our cashier again. Once again, she did not help us bag our purchases. We stood there waiting, and she simply stood there as well. Eventually, she told us, "You can just put them in there," making it clear that she expected us to do the bagging ourselves. I would like to ask: How are your cashiers trained in customer service? Is assisting customers with bagging not part of the expected customer service at your store? What concerns me even more is her overall attitude. There was no smile, no attempt to communicate with us, and no effort to provide basic customer service. I understand that different stores may have different policies regarding bagging, but basic courtesy and customer service should still be expected from someone working directly with customers. I have now encountered this employee twice, and both times I have had the same experience. If this continues to happen every time I come to your store, I will continue to report it. In my opinion, someone who consistently shows no warmth, makes no effort to communicate with customers, and does not provide basic customer service may simply not be suited for a customer-facing position. I hope management will take this complaint seriously, review the situation, and look into how this employee is being trained and whether she is meeting your store's customer service standards.
