The best part about this popcorn is it isn't greasy, I appreciate movie theater popcorn too but the greasy-ness if it always leaves me feeling a little sick. Not at Doc!! **July 2026: Thursday Afternoon Visit**…read more Kettle Heroes Artisan Popcorn is such a fun Arizona made stop, and I can definitely see why they won the Devour 2026 People's Choice Award! The brand has a really distinctive local identity and if you're looking for an edible souvenir, this is a great option since their products are allergen-friendly. They're gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free, and they're also Kosher dairy-certified. I also loved that they have some Southwestern inspired flavors, which makes them feel a little more unique than your average popcorn shop. This is a standalone store, but they also sell online and at select grocery stores like AJ's Fine Foods and Fry's Foods. What I loved about visiting the shop itself is that you can sample all the different varieties, and it's nice to be able to get fresher batches and different sizes straight from the source. I ended up taking home a big bag of their prickly pear popcorn and a normal size bag of the Porcini Truffle Cheddar, which had a really nice savory flavor with real porcini mushrooms, black truffle sea salt, and organic cheddar cheese. Overall, this is a great local-made Arizona product, so support small businesses!

They have lots of options available as far as flavors, sizes and packaging. They were super easy to work with and very good with communication. I ordered Movie Theater and Kettle Corn flavors. They helped me figure out the proper amount for the project I was doing. I picked up the popcorn and found it hard to resist eating it all on the drive home. Both flavors were really good, but in my opinion, the Kettle Corn was exceptional! It was big and fluffy and the perfect blend of sweet and salty. It had a nice little cinnamon flavor to it as well. I'm not a big Movie Theater popcorn fan, but my daughter said that one was very good as well. It was a HUGE hit at the baby shower, and many many complements were heard on the popcorn. I highly recommend them!!

So, I surprised my best friend, and fellow popcorn addict, with a trip to Maddie B's. This popcorn shop may be small in size, but it is bursting with the most DELICIOUS flavored popcorn all bagged and ready to go! Caramel, White Cheddar, Dill, Chicago Mix, Jalapeño, they have it all and it ALL tastes AMAZING! The owners (and their ADORABLE daughter) were so friendly and let us try a few flavors to help us decide. I wound up with 6 bags and my friend with like 10 that we are going to enjoy and share with friends and family. Definitely THE place to go for flavored popcorn and the perfect gift idea for special occasions and Holiday's!

This area is cute with many small businesses that has lots of great stocking stuffer items for sale! I've noticed small black businesses next door to one another which was also a great perk because it's nice to see diversity in businesses. They have parking meters outside that are really reasonable. I suggest bringing $1.50 in quarters, and you will be fine parking and browsing shops in the area. Some meters in the area do not have a cc insert so I recommend keeping quarters on hand. I will definitely return to this area since they have incense that have a smell like no other, and the incense didn't appear toxic. Happy shopping!!!

They JUST opened, so they have limited hours and the shop is still a work in progress. For example they don't have their signage up yet, as they are waiting for it to be finished and awaiting some permits before moving their kettles in. For now you'll have to look for the sign of the old business out front, called Piece Of Cake. But onto the Kettle corn, the cinnamon was very good, with Red Hots scattered within. It's not drowning in cinnamon so it's really good if you want to enjoy it without dying from the heat. A very nice mix of sweet and hot. We also got the Fruit Loops Kettle corn but haven't tried it yet. It's a interesting sounding mix of flavors as Sue described it to me and we are looking forward to checking it out. Once they have their shop fully up and running, and hopefully open more than just a few days a week, they should do pretty good. The prices were really good, and the corn was yummy, so we're wishing you the best on your new venture!

Cheese popcorn (good cheese popcorn, anyway) isn't easy to make. Most places use shake on flavor that is so salty I can't taste the cheese. Other places use a ton of oil and the popcorn gets chewy and my fingers turn bright orange. This cheese popcorn is amazing. There are a few light orange fingers, but nothing like the other places. 3.5/5 I'm…read morea(poppa)mazed at how perfect the kernels of poppacorn are from Poppa Maize! I saw a big ol' basket of Poppa Maize popcorn packs in front of Pour Jo Coffee last time I went to get a caffeine fix and knew I had to try some. I got the tomato basil and cheese. Each bag was $6. When I got home we broke open the cheesy popcorn bag. The flavor was really good! It just the right amount of seasoning. All the kernels were full, round, and fluffy looking. None of that hard kernel ish that breaks your teeth. Unfortunately, even though the bag had a desiccant packed inside to minimize moisture, the popcorn did taste a little stale/not very crisp. That didn't stop the toddler from devouring it all in one day (And sneaking a few bits to the dogs as well). The tomato basil unfortunately was even more stale tasting which was a bummer considering the price I paid for the bag. I did like the tomato basil flavor though. Maybe if the creator put some "sell by," "best by," or "made on" dates that would help, so people know how fresh their bag is. Maybe some different packaging would help too? Either way, I'd go back to get more popcorn from Poppa Maize if it was sold fresh from the kernel. Currently they seem to sell the popcorn at various small businesses such as Pour Jo Coffee and at local farmer's markets.
