The aisles feel like a time machine stocked with everything I grew up eating, the classics, the throwbacks, the "I forgot this even existed" gems. It's the kind of place where you catch yourself smiling at a random shelf because a candy bar just unlocked a childhood memory. The store is bright, fun, and packed with options, and the staff keeps everything tidy and easy to browse. **July 2026: Thursday Afternoon Visit**…read more Kettle Heroes Artisan Popcorn is such a fun Arizona made stop, and I can definitely see why they won the Devour 2026 People's Choice Award! The brand has a really distinctive local identity and if you're looking for an edible souvenir, this is a great option since their products are allergen-friendly. They're gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free, and they're also Kosher dairy-certified. I also loved that they have some Southwestern inspired flavors, which makes them feel a little more unique than your average popcorn shop. This is a standalone store, but they also sell online and at select grocery stores like AJ's Fine Foods and Fry's Foods. What I loved about visiting the shop itself is that you can sample all the different varieties, and it's nice to be able to get fresher batches and different sizes straight from the source. I ended up taking home a big bag of their prickly pear popcorn and a normal size bag of the Porcini Truffle Cheddar, which had a really nice savory flavor with real porcini mushrooms, black truffle sea salt, and organic cheddar cheese. Overall, this is a great local-made Arizona product, so support small businesses!

3.5/5 I'm…read morea(poppa)mazed at how perfect the kernels of poppacorn are from Poppa Maize! I saw a big ol' basket of Poppa Maize popcorn packs in front of Pour Jo Coffee last time I went to get a caffeine fix and knew I had to try some. I got the tomato basil and cheese. Each bag was $6. When I got home we broke open the cheesy popcorn bag. The flavor was really good! It just the right amount of seasoning. All the kernels were full, round, and fluffy looking. None of that hard kernel ish that breaks your teeth. Unfortunately, even though the bag had a desiccant packed inside to minimize moisture, the popcorn did taste a little stale/not very crisp. That didn't stop the toddler from devouring it all in one day (And sneaking a few bits to the dogs as well). The tomato basil unfortunately was even more stale tasting which was a bummer considering the price I paid for the bag. I did like the tomato basil flavor though. Maybe if the creator put some "sell by," "best by," or "made on" dates that would help, so people know how fresh their bag is. Maybe some different packaging would help too? Either way, I'd go back to get more popcorn from Poppa Maize if it was sold fresh from the kernel. Currently they seem to sell the popcorn at various small businesses such as Pour Jo Coffee and at local farmer's markets.

As of 2/19/25, there are 4 sizes each priced at $5, $7, $9, and $12. I got the large size ($9) and I definitely couldn't finish it one day. I was very please with the calorie information on their bags which is something hard to find on mom 'n pop shops. It's 170 calories for 30g of kettle corn. The kettle corn was quite tasty so get the two larger sizes if you're looking to share or if you want some extra snacks for yourself throughout the week. They tend to give out free samples if they're at an event. Their website is invalid despite it being printed on all their bags.

I have to point out that they have one of the best tasting green tea, and they literally have the best service anyone can ask for. I don't know how she does it, but Ashley brews this green tea perfectly. While most other Paris Baguette locations have the same green tea, they honestly do not taste exactly the same (Phoenix location on Baseline/32nd St is a totally different tea). When Ashley, Kailey, Dania. Richard and Daniel work together, they emit such high, positive and fun energy.
