Keo is by far one of my favorite restaurants in all of Tulsa and quite frankly one of my favorite I've ever been to and I travel A LOT, and that is an understatement. I have always frequented the Brookside location because that is where I used to live. My favorite waiter there went on to be the manager of the new South Location. I still go to the other one more because of convenience but I enjoy coming to this one from time to time to visit him and of course enjoy the food. The food no matter which location is near perfection. I seem to be someone who goes for the same things when I go to the same places, but here I've tried to branch out a little more than I normally would. Their Thom Ka is the only dish (a soup) I've felt was quite better somewhere else, but it is still very good. I enjoy their phad thai, fried rices and curries. But, most of all I enjoy their Thai Sweet Basil dish. It isn't too heavy, but it is packed with a punch. So many flavors in small dish and I love that it is ground chicken, that texture absorbs all the great spices and sauce perfectly. Enjoy a great meal there but don't skip on appetizers, my favorite is their fresh spring rolls! Mmmm! They are served with a peanut sauce, sometimes I ask for their sriracha aioli which is great to dip in as well. ;) Now, if you are not hungry this is a great bar stop as well! (half price apps in the bar btw) Both locations have a little bar, the South location's bar is a little more secluded from the restaurant than the Brookside location. First visit to Keo was a winner winner Asian dinner. The place is modern and sexy. Quaint little bar area with a few dining tables. This is a great place for date night. The food was just as sexy. Appetizers were small in size but large in flavor. Main course was plentiful with a small portion of white or brown rice. Just the way It should be. Heat scale is your decision 1 to 5. The xrated martini is the way to go, especially if you love blood orange! I had dinner at Keo with a friend of mine. I was seated promptly, and had a table in the back. There weren't many people there on a Saturday night around 9:30. I ordered an Xrated martini as soon as I was seated and I was happy to get it right away! It was sweet with mango and passionfruit and tart with the taste of blood orange. I absolutely loved it. The waiter brought edamame as an appetizer - it was great! My friend had the pad thai and chose chicken as the protein. He was very happy with his dish, but I didn't bother to try. I ordered the sweet basil dish and I couldn't stop eating it! The description on the menu weirded me out because a dish of ground chicken did not sound very appetizing. Do not overlook this dish! I was so happy with how flavorful it was with fresh peppers and steamed rice. The waiter told me it was his current favorite and a couple reviews recommended it. I was so happy with the first martini, I decided to go for another. I had the mango martini and it was just too sweet for me. I'll stick to the Xrated. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Don't pass on the drinks, though pricey - they are worth it! I wouldn't pass up the appetizers. The portions are smaller than what most of us Americans are use to. Leave some room for dessert also! We were looking for something light for a late lunch, and set our sights on something Asian. I tried the Pao and wanted more. The sampler is a great choice if your just not sure what to eat, and the mussels as a starter really hit the spot. We were there at about 2pm stop in not sure how busy the lunch rush is. I like the ambiance at KEO, what I like even more is the edamame brought to your table immediately. I got the wagyu burger and my husband got the stir fry. I would highly recommend ordering something more traditionally asian, like the stir fry. The wagyu burger was ok, but the stir fry was top notch. Just moved to Tulsa and wanted REAL Asian food delivered on move day. Normally when you see Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese on the same menu, it's more of an Americanized version of Asian food. However, KEO did not disappoint. Papaya salad was excellent! Spicy, salty, sour, with great crunch. This is my absolute favorite place to eat. Any chance I get, I go and grab a bowl of pho, whatever appetizer sounds good that day, and a slice of their chocolate cake. Yes, it is extravagant, but this is the kind of place where you'll want to treat yourself. I love that they serve complementary edamame, you don't really come by restaurants who do this kind of thing nowadays. The seasoning they put on it is so delicious. Our server was very sweet and friendly and knew what he was talking about when I was asking him questions. I ordered the Tom Kha with shrimp and white rice... It's the first time I've ordered this dish anywhere so I didn't know what to expect... Well, it was absolutely delicious and I would absolutely order it again. My boyfriend ordered the steak. Whatever they used to marinate it worked out really well because it was also very delicious. Presentation of both of our dishes were nice, and the taste definitely matched the look. LOVE the pad Thai. I have the most sensitive spice detectors, so I order it with zero space (I know, that's crazy, I'm aware) BUT the flavor is still incredible. I ordered their popular ground chicken dish just to see if I liked something other than the pad thai. It was good, but I think I'll always stick with their Thai staple meal! It was also not as much food as the pad thai either. You also get delicious edamame when you sit down. It's so yummy!! I love the seasoning they put on it. It has a bit of a kick, but not so strong that even a spice wimp like me can't handle it. Service is great. The staff is always speedy but never rushes you out of the restaurant. Ok so this is my go-to for "classy" Asian-fusion food... meaning they have amazing pad-Thai, fabulous curries and the best soup made with curry, lemongrass and mushrooms! Plus an upscale modern atmosphere to boot! Talk about heart eyes all over the place!! They also offer complementary edamame, that's perfectly spiced, before your meal - can it get much better?! Food is very good, but uneven. Got steamed mussels and half were empty??? They claimed they fall out into the broth. Found two. They brought more. Same story. Might want to skip this dish. I had a shrimp entree and the waiter took it away before I finished. They gave me more noodles, but not more shirimp? Who ate my shrimp? Had very specific requests for bill and the waiter said, "Of course." Then just blew it all off. Been here twice. Would probably go again, but watch your waiter. Summary: The food is overpriced, but they make up for it by keeping the portions small. The place has VERY nice decor and the service was fast. They bring edamame to your table as an appetizer which is nice. I ordered the crispy spring rolls for $5. Imagine the super tiny spring rolls that come from a food service company. They brought two. For $5 anything less than three is a ripoff as small as they were. I have a hard time thinking they were made fresh on site as they taste like your typical food service roll. My crispy spring rolls were laying on a piece of lettuce, which many restaurants do to accelerate them becoming soggy, I guess. But, putting these tiny rolls on a normal sized piece of lettuce served only to accentuate how small they were. For my entree, I had the Malaysian stir fry. It was prepared well. I had never tried it before and the sauce wasn't great. However, I hate to give it too low marks because maybe it was supposed to taste like that, but it wasn't for me. It was served with your choice of steamed brown or white rice. You couldn't upgrade to a side of fried rice, even for an up charge. I know this is fairly common but I love that a place like "Amazing Thai Cuisine" in Broken Arrow will let you get fried rice on the side for an extra $2. Not a big deal and still a money maker for them. Again, the serving size was meager. In all fairness, it was a lunch portion. But, when you charge $10 for a basic stir fry dish, there really needs to be more on the plate. I saw people with soup bowls nearby and their soups hovered around the $10 range as well and the bowl was woefully undersized compared to other places, like Amazing Thai, which gives you a lot more for the same price. KEO use to be really good but the past couple visits were just decent . Me & my husband use to go here all the time when we first dated. The last time we went there I ordered Thai Curry & after the first two scoop, I found a piece of hair in my curry! & of course I told the server and a lady who seem to be the manager came to me told me "we use lemon grass in our curry & a lot of our customers think it's hair" ........ umm sorry but NO. I know what lemongrass is & have use it many times. That was hair. I didn't want a free meal but I at least wanted them to fix it but she just took my plate so My husband and I shared his meal & payed for 2 meal:) haven't planned on going back & never will. So much nom! Love eating here, another great restaurant that has a twin in midtown. The only problem I've found is their sample plate on the app menu is a little small. You only get one or two items of each, so you can't split it with someone else. The meal portions are a perfect, I always have some to go. Their Tuna nachos are out of this world!
