We have been in our new construction for 10 months and paint is peeling off the drawers. They came out to fix the island after being in the house a couple of months, for a second time. The cabinets still looks bad and they left a mess on the floor. It was as he smeared paint on the floor versus trying to clean up after himself. This guy was better though. His girlfriend didn't tag along, like the first technician they sent out. They told me to call, they pride themselves of customer care. Well, when I asked for repair on the drawer, they sent a paragraph about, what my warranty does not include. We are empty nesters, we aren't hard on our cabinets and floors. We built our home, moved in and noticed the cabinets installed were different styles. Took them forever to send out a repair man. When he finally arrived, the new cabinet doors still didn't match. Came back out again and started to replace the doors, packed up in the middle of the job and said he had to leave. He never returned and we didn't bother messing with them again. The hinges also break on frequently used doors, like under the sink. You can't find the hinges at Home Depot, you have to get them from Ken Moore. We are on our third set of hinges. read more

Beware. From the start we had problems, we ordered bottom cabinets to fit a 36" slide in stove they put in cabinets for a 30" built in stove, pulled them out and rebuilt them but when they came back they didn't finish either side of the cabinets that were next to the stove, bare MDF boards that any spillage would absorb into. Set us back 2-3 weeks on the build. One upper cabinet and the hood vent weren't level, but they insisted they were within the bubble, (we could see it was off with the naked eye), we placed a ball on the shelf and it rolled all the way to the other side and it wasn't a slow roll either. They begrudgingly came and forced it level. We ordered an additional cabinet from them "only" because it needed to match what we already have. They had our plans and knew where it was going and knew the ends needed to be finished like end cabinets but it wasn't finished on either side, so they picked it up and fixed it. It arrived back today and one side wasn't even attached at the top and it has 3 shelves but they only sent 3pcs of the shelf support pegs we need 12. We have a cabinet/storage unit in the master bath that is in the place of a tub pretty long and there is no support in the middle for as long as this unit is. The bottom got busted through by someone doing work during the build, they sent someone out to fix it all he was going to do was caulk it and leave it. My husband told him don't bother because that wasn't going to fix the problem and that he would eventually get time and put a middle brace so it would hold the blankets and items we intend to store in it. We recently moved to the Houston area, and purchased a new home that used Kent Moore cabinets. I would not say the cabinets are over the top, but made fairly well made compared to other builder grade cabinets we came across. After we moved in, we decided to add cabinets in our butler pantry and in the laundry / utility room. After reaching out to Kent Moore, it took forever to schedule a visit (like 4 months), and then and another 4 months to have them made. At least they matched our original cabinets and the installer did a great job with the install and trim work. Plus, noticed some "sloppiness" on the original install and took care of that well. So, to make a long story short, decided to reach out again and see if I could get (3) "over the toilet" cabinets. Yeah, was like pulling teeth to get anyone to respond, and finally did. I got my estimate and fell off my chair. Only a year ago, I purchased 6 fairly large cabinets (42") for $2500, of which $300 was for delivery and install. The three "over the toilet" cabinets were priced out at $2355 with a $700 delivery and install fee. I was ready for some price increase, but seriously, this is ridiculous. read more

I would not recommend Kent Moore to anyone. We still have outstanding repairs to be made by Kent Moore Cabinets, because they will not be making any more visits to lived-in homes due to Covid-19 as of a few weeks ago. We would never recommend this cabinet company to anyone. They were not prepared for our initial meeting at their office, wasting hours of our time in the middle of a work day. They have missed several appointments and sent a different worker to our home every time, nearly always with the wrong instructions and the wrong materials. The cabinet color does not match the paint chip we provided, even though we were told there would be no problem matching it. There are dings and dents in the paint all over the place, misaligned drawers and poorly assembled shelves. At this point, we have no faith that these repairs will be made at all. read more

We ordered walnut cabinets for out master bathroom remodel which were delivered without adequate wrapping to protect them. When I called to explain what occurred, their response was to correct all the scratches and dings after they were installed. This is similar to buying a new car and paying full price but what was delivered was a used car. They are not being proactive with providing a remedy to delivering damaged cabinets. Quite possibly one of the worst customer experiences I've had. My home was impacted by Winter Storm Uri, and one bathroom cabinet was damaged by water from a broken water pipe. As Kent Moore had installed the cabinets in the home when it was first constructed, I wanted to do an exact replacement. I spoke with a salesperson at Kent Moore, Noe Bocanegra, and discussed what I wanted, the color, etc. They had my home's cabinet design still on file, so they could get that done quickly. So far so good. Or so I thought. Over the course of a couple weeks, I reached out to Noe by phone call, text, and email multiple times as I wanted to move forward with the purchase, only for him to just ignore me and not return any of my contact attempts. Only when I called the office and complain, did someone at the service desk email Noe on my behalf with DeAnn (the office manager) CC'ed. Suddenly Noe has the time to reply. If only it stopped there. After paying for the cabinet, we set a delivery date and the delivery window was 8-12 AM. The day of, I get a call from Noe a little after 5 AM telling me the delivery guys are at my home, and asks me to accept delivery of the cabinets. I am not living at the house as it is gutted and in the middle of repair due to the winter storm. My original plan that day was to arrive just before the delivery window, but it seems they sent their delivery guys to show up 3 hours before the agreed upon delivery window. So I have to quickly drive 45 minutes to go to the house to accept the delivery, and Noe calls me again asking me to hurry up as the delivery guys have other deliveries to make. The absolute gall to ask me to hurry up because you made a mistake. Kent Moore suffers from a complete lack of professionalism and care, and this is what you can expect if you buy a cabinet from them. read more

Customer service has been awful when calling the main line. Scheduling hasn't been an easy thing to accomplish. They offered me an appt 3 months down the line as their first available. They don't do 24 hour reminder/confirmation appt. I missed the installers phone call, so he automatically cancelled my appt, even though I called back shortly after missing the call. Then I finally get things rescheduled. THEY BRING THE WRONG CABINET DOOR. What a poor, poor experience. Never do I wish to work with Kent Moore again. read more

This review is specifically for KentMoore's service technician, Donald Boston out of the San Antonio area. We recently purchased a new builder inventory home outside of San Antonio that has Kent Moore cabinets. We have had nothing but issues and challenges and poor quality work from the BUILDER (that's another review coming), however, Donald was our technician to fix all the cabinet issues (most of which were due to the builder's installation). Donald was AMAZING. He was professional, and courteous, he provided me with education on the product and the process when working with builders, and he spent HOURS tediously going through all of the cabinets and repairing and covering up all of the mistakes and blemishes. We had screws going through cabinet walls, broken and busted tracks, exterior dings and dents, broken shelves, etc. I cannot overexpress my gratitude for this technician who went out of his way to make sure we were happy with our product at the end, understood the process, and made himself available to help fix any and all issues. The cabinets are a focal point of the main open living room/kitchen - and to have such a horrible eyesore for a BRAND NEW HOME be turned into the quality product it is supposed to be provided a huge amount of relief. Thank you, Donald!! I question why KentMoore wants to continue to sell their product to such poor quality builders, but I suppose if their technicians like Donald can "fix" everything at the end... read more

We built a custom home and wanted very warm and rustic wood as well as many custom features like a custom vent, paper roll holder built into the island, cutting board, pull out trash cans, pull out drawers, stacked drawers, and a tray for sponges. Six Sanchez was our Rep and got all the details in and it came out beautiful. I was worried it would't come in as promised since it was a large order but they were right on time. The finisher Gary was excellent at the touch up and adjustments we needed. The pricing was good as well. I bid several places and could find similar pricing but with the customization that went way up at other shops but we got everything we wanted right at budge compared to lows at 20% off was 10k more?? Definitely stay local and don't do big box for custom cabinets. I would definitely use Kent Moore for my next cabinet order!! read more

Even the builder has told us they find their service and quality to be terrible and plan to stop using them shortly. After several emails it is now 10/6 and he STILL has not contacted us with ANY information let alone a quote. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! We will be going elsewhere. read more

So I'm a business owner myself and feel a little feel a little hesitant to publicly rate a company this low however this is just a reflection of my experience and I feel others and possible the company can learn from it to make it better for another person. It's been about a year we first made contact with Kent Moore to build the cabinets of our custom home. However I am still waiting for the cabinets to be delivered, we are 6 weeks behind schedule at the moment, the cabinets are holding up other trades, pushing my completion and moving in date, and I cannot begin to explain the ripple effect surrounding that. Worst part of that is when we finally came to a point where we agreed on the design and it went into production (or so we thought), they gave us a 6 week timeline to be delivered. 3 weeks into the 6 weeks, I run into Kenmore's Rep taking measurements in the house and my mind is blown, He tells me that he is just confirming the measurements again before they start to produce them, and sure enough the measurements are off and they want us to adjust and delete things here and there. All I could think at this point is what have we been doing for the past 11 months, why are you just confirming this now, we are already behind but I guess they do not care about that, 3 weeks ago when you gave us a timeline for delivery, why didn't you get everything you needed knowing we were already waiting on you..... These are questions I really can't answer or find closure too. I do not understand how it has taken 1 yr to design a set of cabinets for a 5000sqft home, Kent Moore kept getting it mixed up, for example we would have a discussion and agree on plan by the time the lackadaisical screen shorted email breaking down the details of plan and or drawing come back to us, its wrong and its obvious we just wasted the 1 - 2 hr sit down meeting and we would do it over again and same thing. Then it would take about weeks or months to get a reply. Another break in communication was, Kent Moore providing conflicting or unclear information to help us make decision especially when it came to how the different selection, materials or design affected price. It should be noted however that I do have a builder managing my project who referred Kent Moore to us and swears by their warranty and product. The reviews I see on Houzz are great and I'm beginning to wonder if I got the short end of the stick or it's just the Spring TX branch or maybe I'm just a difficult client. Also, this is during the spike and crazy increase in lumber cost, so I'm sure that did not help things, in addition, there was an unfortunate incidence in their facility during the 11 month design period that would have shut down operations. I'm currently still waiting on my cabinets I do hope the cabinets are delivered eventually, although they did extend the initial 6 weeks timeline by another 3 weeks, I do hope second half of installation and quality goes better than the first half experience. I had to take part of my business elsewhere to a different vendor, we designed the cabinets in 2 days and went into production, I was given a timeline of 4 weeks, they extended the delivery date by 1 business day and are delivering it on Monday. I hope I can come back here to update this and hopefully bump up my rating and have a better experience. I Initially had 1 star but I'll add another one because, they have a beautiful showroom with nice people that work in there, and they would easily offer different samples, although they did put in the wrong requested samples a lot of times, but they were ready to just keep ordering more, so i guess they have the best of intentions read more

Jessica Morris reached out to me to set up a time to have a tech come to our new house to install medicine cabinet shelves and fix other issues. I explained I work out of town and could not be there until 4:30. I left work early to make it on time and waited for nobody to show. The next day, she responded to my email saying the tech had come by earlier in the day. My barely 17 year old son was the only one home and this man came in without an adult present? She tried to excuse it by saying this man was a pastor. That's great if he is but have you watched the news and seen preachers and popes molesting children? My son is a big boy and that doesn't bother so much as the fact that I was not contacted and left work early for nothing. I still didn't get medicine cabinet shelves and all the issues were not fixed. Rather than sending him back out, she said I would have to wait a few more weeks before someone could come back. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of attention and timeliness of Kent Moore Cabinets. We have been building a custom home for 14 months now during these crazy times of short supply and no production. Kent Moore was the very first vendor we met with when we began the process. I stayed on top of our rep for months asking when we would be finalizing the cabinets and when he would be out to measure. We were constantly told Kent Moore was having zero production issues and no backorders. When he finally came out to measure, he even gave us a timeline of having our cabinets in in October at the very latest. Months go by and still exact measurements or the order had been submitted as the rep said we would be fine on timing. Order finally goes in in October and we are told they are now backordered but shouldn't be past end of December. Fast forward to now end of January and still no cabinets and we are told it won't be until after Feb. 18th now. Yet, we were told 3 weeks ago our cabinets were in production and would be done soon. We should be moving into our home in February! Clearly, they have now pushed back our move in date and put us in a major bind. Had I known they would be so unreliable, I would have absolutely picked someone else to do the job that I could count on. I understand delays during these times as I work in an industry with the same issues. However, the rep should have finalized our order much, much sooner when I hounded him more months to do so. The good: these cabinets look nice from a distance. Everything else: the quality is pretty bad. I'm not sure if it's the construction or installation, but we bought a brand new house where these were already installed and they were pretty banged up in multiple places. The builder had to have them come out multiple times on multiple cabinets for warranty issues for banged up edging, gaps where it meets the floor (to where the shims were sticking out), edge issues, missing nobs!, cracked siding, on a double 95" tall cabinet the center piece was collapsing, causing all of the shelves to tip towards the center, etc. To my disappointment, the cabinets and drawers are not soft close, which seems pretty standard these days (even IKEA furniture offers this). I had to take one of the drawers apart myself because the drawer wouldn't slide out and was getting stuck. I had to put in another call after moving in because paint was chipping on a bathroom cabinet (a bathroom that has maybe been used 5 times) and one of the drawers was sticking as well. On top of THAT while I was inspecting said drawer, I noticed they left a ton of construction debris inside of the cabinet with the drawers! And lastly, a lot of the cabinets have pencil writing inside, shotty paint work, etc. Ikea or Home Depot likely has better quality. Geeze guys, take some pride in your work! Test all the drawers, don't leave trash, erase pencil marks, etc. Aside from the quality, I was pretty irked in scheduling them to come out to fix our bathroom cabinet. My builder tried setting up a morning appointment but they called me directly and said they were only free in the afternoon, so they put me in from 12-4pm. I wasn't super excited about the 4 hour window, but was ok with it. On the day of, I was upstairs folding laundry and came downstairs to a missed call at 3:20 and 3:30 (this was at 3:40) which was both the technician and the customer service person. To my surprise, they didn't come because I didn't answer the technicians phone call! They never knocked or rang my door bell (I was right at the top of the stairs plus have a dog that barks at every door knock/ring) and was told "well since you didn't answer I think he went home for the day". THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was never told I would have to answer a phone call in order for them to show up, and that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I scheduled another time for them to come out with the person on the phone, and to my surprise, the tech showed up 45 minutes later. While I was very frustrated at this point, I was happy he showed up, and he was very friendly and said he'd take care of things. They seem to have quite a lack of communication between the main office and their techs - even after everything was fixed I received a call asking to schedule the next service! A week or so later, he came back with a new cabinet door and I'm hoping that's the end things! read more

I thought this would be a great experience. I met with Randy and he seemed helpful in designing our kitchen and gave us good ideas. The design we agreed on had the microwave way too high. I didn't know this and I wasn't told that this would be too high. I depended on their expertise. So, I spent an extra $1600 redoing one wall in order to get the microwave down at the proper level. They also designed an appliance garage that is too small for almost anything. We paid extra for a glaze that was done inconsistently. We were told that they "ran out of glaze" but they sent the cabinets out anyway. They are fixing the items that we have complained about, but they never should have happened. With the building boom, I'm sure they are overbooked, but I wouldn't use them again. read more

He came to our home, consulted with us, and provided us with a plan of action. The first installer completed a beautiful installation. The second installer trimmed out the tower to perfection. We are very pleased and are moving on to our next Kent Moore project in the kitchen. We highly recommend the Kent Moore team. read more

I recently replaced my bathroom cabinets using Kent Moore. It's been a long time since I've been in the market so I put myself in Cristi Hancock's very capable hands. She listened to what I thought I wanted and explained all of the "bells and whistles"now available with custom cabinetry. I couldn't be more pleased with the product, customer service, etc. After installation, a service technician, Carl Spencer, was out to fine tune drawer glides and finish out trim. He was so meticulous, doing a thorough job and finishing the job beautifully. A company is only as good as their personnel and I have to give Kent Moore and their people 5 Stars! read more

I decided to use them again on a remodel and their rep Noe came out the same day on time, gave great ideas and took good measurements. After he left, he never got me a bid despite repeated calls. Finally, he sent me an email with only $9500 on it. No plans, specs, or any other info. Just the price. Very disappointing experience. I don't know which is worse, trying to get them to actually take your money and perform work for you, or the quality of their cabinets when the job is complete. My builder use KM cabinets in my brand new house. There were many warranty issues I had to deal with in getting their shoddy quality fixed. But I also wanted to add a few more matching cabinets in other rooms in the house. It was like pulling teeth just getting their sales guy Noe to get me estimates, return calls, etc etc. You would think that a sales guy would be eager to make sales. I had to constantly track him down to just get final pricing for some simple additions, and finally I just gave up and went elsewhere. My builder made it clear that they have had several quality issues with KM. I have absolutely NO idea how Noe still has a job with them. I was practically begging that guy to take my 10k for new cabinets, but he just couldn't' be bothered. Not to mention that their actual products are crap, mostly laminated particle board, not real hardwood. Glad I went with actual hardwood, which will last forever. Had these in my new DR Horton home. Nothing but problems. Cant get them clean, drawers not level, when i asked about it lied to my face. Said it needed to be that way because of the cook top. Cabinets dent easy. There are imperfections all over the place. Installer Jerry told me to get some calk to cover the seams and full in nail holes. New house? Choose something else, remodeling? Multiple unresponded texts were sent to the Manager as well. We too have a new house and are stuck with this company. I will NEVER USE OR REFER THIS COMPANY to any of my friends. Based on other reviews on multiple sites, it looks like the only way they are able to stay in business is due to new construction. They must give low ball bids. When I wanted to replace my ADA compliable cabinets with new, taller versions I contacted Kent Moore because they had put in the originals in 2013. Noe came out and gave me an estimate and the price never changed. He was helpful and understood just what I wanted with a number of new changes I decided to add. There were no unexpected delays or costs, which I really appreciate! The new cabinets went in as scheduled and the workers did a fast, clean job. Kent Moore did the cabinets in my new house. The quality control was horrible. Most of the doors had areas where the stain did not take and raw wood was showing. They sent a guy out to 'fix' them. He tried one and brought it back. He said it was terrific and tried to get me to accept it. It was worse than when he started. Then their quality guy came out and was horrified at how such bad product got out of their shop. He promised to remake the doors and have them installed in two weeks. Over a month later I started chasing them on the status. They said they would deliver and install that Friday. They delivered the doors (blocking one of my vehicles in the garage), but no one showed up to install them. I called and left several messages but no one would return my call. Now it is Wednesday of the following week and I finally got lucky and someone answered their phone. Now they say someone will come next Tuesday to install them. Meanwhile my vehicle is still blocked in for another week. Avoid this company at all costs. The quality is bad and the service is horrible. read more
