When do you know you're an adult? When you're giddy over your hooded microwave being vented outside. Our smoke detectors are wired and when one goes off, they all do. The one near our kitchen is super sensitive and more than once I've woken my husband up from a dead sleep when it went off. Even with multiple windows open, a fan circulating air and the microwave fan. Said smoke detector was replaced because I accidentally broke the first one trying to turn it off. Ken is awesome. I asked for his help with my unique issue - our roof hatch door desperately needed replacement gas struts. The door was so heavy to lift, and a previous contractor messed them up terribly to the point where the hatch door only opened up about 6 inches (we were unable to crawl out of it).
