Empress 75 cocktail, Coconut shrimp, burrata
    Jennifer R.

Just celebrated my father's birthday during lunch, and as usual we had a terrific experience! The waitress was wonderful, the food and cocktails delicious, and the ambience warm and beachy, exactly what we needed. The owner/hostess Christine, sent over a slice of my father's favorite cakes, key lime pie, to celebrate and making it that much more special. Looking forward to going back when it's a bit warmer.

Rating: 3.5 Stars due to the waiter Warning if you're not a " resident" then put on your patience cap. My friend has family that lives out here by the restaurant. They are a generation after generation, a family of fireman-firefighters. She was away for Labor Day and always tells me if you want to go to this section to let her know so she and her family would accompany us because their residence. However, I certainly did not think that I needed her and her family to go to a restaurant to eat. It's not like we were buying a house. It was just food. Oh boy, was I wrong. We were excited to try this spot, especially since a friend with deep local ties had recommended it. At first, everything was great -- we were seated quickly, greeted warmly, and served water and bread right away. It felt like five-star service! But once a large group of 18-19 people arrived (who were the locals-residence), the attention shifted completely. Our waiter was kind and did his best, but we waited over 40 minutes for our food, which arrived lukewarm and was just okay. It was clear the kitchen prioritized the big group, and we felt overlooked. It was disappointing to feel overlooked simply because we weren't "residents" or part of a local group. The decor and views were beautiful, and again -- our server was doing his best. But once again, it's disappointing to feel like being a "non-resident" meant second-tier service. I hope in the future all guests -- whether locals or visitors -- are treated with equal care and attention. Everyone deserves a great dining experience, especially when they come in with open hearts and empty stomachs. Hopefully, in the future, all guests will be treated with the same care, no matter where they live. Oy.

    Special order mojito

We came here for a family celebration and it was perfect! The food and drinks were delicious, and our waitress was kind enough to ask the bartender to specially make me a mojito, despite it not being on the menu. I ordered their special which was a purse pasta, stuffed with ricotta, and shrimp. It was so flavorful, light and fresh. We had a large party and everyone ordered a range from steaks to pork chops to fish and even chicken fingers for the kids. Everyone was happy and had leftovers. Prior to dinner we shared a variety of apps with the fresh mozzarella being our favorite. The backdrop of the beach with a playground made this a great way for the kids to burn off some energy and me a chance to be a kid again!

My first time here - there's extreme security in Breezy so you need to drive thru a manned gate to get to the parking lot. Outdoor eating when weather permits. Music a few times a week. The apple walnut spinach salad was perfect. Dressing on the side Rolls are placed on the table We both had prime rib - mine was rare and totally amazing. Perfectly cooked. Grilled asparagus and whipped sweet potatoes. All just perfection. Pistachio tartuffo with a delectable raspberry center Nice selection of drinks and beer - bottled and tapped Clean bathroom Great service. I'd go back in a second

Be sure to make reservations! We had a table in the side enclosed by glass windows. It was beautiful! We had the view of Coney Island and saw their fireworks! The service was on point and the food was delicious!

Great food, even better service! We were sat within a few min of our reservation, and immediately greeted for drinks. Ordered the Burrata cheese, coconut shrimp, calamari, and clam appetizers. Had the Sea Bass for dinner. All great! The servers/bussers were kind and attentive and the views were great. Awesome experience!!

    Cream brûlée

The best cream brûlée I ever had ! Delicious appetizers and main course. Wonderful staff and spectacular views.

Amazing ambiance! This restaurant was a great hit on Father's Day for my whole family. The outside seating is right on the beach and you can let your toddler run around on the sand or there is a playground nearby which is awesome. The food is good, not necessarily Michelin quality, but overall solid American fare. Service is wonderful and they are very accommodating. I love it here!

From what I've heard, it usually gets packed during peak sports seasons--but we happened to hit a lull (post-football, pre-baseball, and no major games on), so we basically had the place to ourselves. That actually worked in our favor--the quieter atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy conversation without the usual sports bar chaos. Drinks were a highlight. I went with the sangria, which was refreshing and well-balanced. Instead of ordering full entrees, we decided to share a bunch of appetizers. Everything that came out looked great, and everyone in the group seemed really happy with the flavors. As someone with a gluten allergy, though, I was pretty limited in what I could order. The ribs ended up being one of my only real options--but thankfully, they were tender, flavorful, and definitely the standout for me. Still, I do wish there were more gluten-free choices, especially since we were there to celebrate and share food. One thing that stood out (in a not-so-great way) was that we felt a bit rushed toward the end of the meal. We didn't even get the chance to order a birthday dessert, which was disappointing given the occasion, but seeing since it was only our group there I'm sure they were ready to close and go home. Service overall was attentive and friendly while we were dining, so no complaints there otherwise. It was winter when we visited, but I can see this being a great spot in warmer months--the outdoor seating looks like it would really add to the experience. Parking was easy on a Sunday night, and they do have a lot, but make sure to read the signs carefully since some spots are reserved for the theater next door. Overall it has a great vibe, solid drinks, and food that people clearly enjoy--I just wish there were more gluten-free options so I didn't leave still a little hungry.

The food here is insanely fresh as was our daily interpretation involving copious use of root vegetables. In a Woodstock mood, I went for a mushroom motif inclusive of a mushroom onion soup and mushroom infused homemade cavatelli. You won't get points for atmosphere as the location is main street central and directly across from an Irish pub that is still serving the same slab of corned beef that they first boiled in 1991. If you're a foodie or even a fraudie, 12 Farms offers infinite pleasures and is richly deserving of a resounding five stars. Speaking of rich bring lots of cash as plastic is not accepted.

The soup sampling consisted of three very tiny cups that were sort of like an espresso size cup. The salad was a very small portion. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2. I hope the restaurant takes note and addresses the piints I made. Note that the entrée portions were good.

My fellow yelpie Jeannie has been raving about their duck à la pressie for ages and we finally organized an outing so she can share her love of Tourmaline and the duck with us. Thank you Jeannie. The duck in itself deserves an award. You can tell that Yvan the head chef and owner has put so much detail into creating this magnificent dish for his customers. From picking the perfect farm to order the duck from in PA, to purchasing the machinery for churning out the sauce from the bones and internals of the duck, to incorporating different aspects of duck preparations from different cultures (French Normandy, Chinese roast duck) and teaching to Daniel in the city for some tips. You know Yvan has put his heart and soul into this one dish. I love how this dish is prepared table side by the chef himself with so many different stories and presentations. He starts off the duck with a serving of the perfect tot crispy skin served with his seasonal sauce. We had rhubarb. We were the stars of the room with everyone envying us. I can't recommend this experience enough. Worth every penny! In addition to the duck, we ordered some apps, salad and a fish dish. The seasonal cocktail Noveau Peach so refreshing and delish and dessert wine was a perfect accompaniment to the desserts. The atmosphere or the restaurant was cozy and high end. I made a reservation for two on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they had our table ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. Our server was Evelyn, and she was so sweet and she helped us when we were trying to decide between two desserts and three appetizers. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own. Unfortunately, the meat had an oddly gamey flavor that immediately raised questions about the quality or freshness. The sauce itself was decent, but it wasn't enough to save the ribs. For entrées, we ordered the steak frites and the half chicken. The steak was maybe a 5/10, and that's being generous. The meat itself was underwhelming, and the accompanying steak sauce actually made matters worse rather than complementing it. Even stranger was the side salad, which somehow had a noticeable fishy smell and taste--definitely not something you expect from a fresh salad. The half chicken was easily the biggest disappointment. It had an unpleasant flavor that came across as spoiled or rotten, to the point where it was difficult to eat. The potatoes alongside it were about a 4/10--bland and forgettable. Overall, much of the food had the taste and texture of something that had been frozen and reheated rather than freshly prepared. Ironically, the fries may have been the best thing we ate all night. Then again, fries are a pretty low bar to clear--and thankfully, they managed not to mess those up. The restaurant was also a bit chilly inside, which didn't help the experience. And on a less serious note, the Diet Coke deserves a mention. Put it next to a McDonald's Diet Coke--and we all know McDonald's is the gold standard--and this one is just sad. I don't enjoy leaving overly negative reviews, but when you're paying restaurant prices, there should be a baseline expectation of freshness and quality. Between the questionable ribs, fishy salad, poor steak, and especially the chicken, this meal fell well below that standard. Food: 3/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Fries: Somehow the MVP
